Headed over to Fung's kitchen this evening to give them a try. What a wonderful find. We had been looking for a quality Chinese restaurant not too far away from our location, & stumbled upon Fung's kitchen while searching yelp reviews. A really helpful wait staff seated us then made suggestions. We ordered the szechuan pork, a combination fried rice with beef,chicken, & shrimp, steamed vegetables with chicken, and orange chicken. Served with sides of hot & sour soup, eggrolls, & crab Rangoon. Overall a fantastic meal. Every plate came out steaming hot. Everyone agreed that the meal was the best Chinese food they had eaten in a long time. We're going to pay Fung's kitchen regular visits when we get the itch for great Chinese food. read more

My family loves this place! I'm disappointed that i don't have more photos of other entrees. I'll try to list all the entrees we get: 1. Peking duck with steamed buns This is a MUST. It's a little pricey so split amongst friends! But the duck, the sauce, the green onion+jalapeño garnish... it's perfection. 2. Fried squid/calamari This is a staple dish that we eat with white rice or by itself! So delicious. Similar to calamari but more flavorful. 3. Steamed oysters Another staple dish that we get every time! Don't knock it til you try it. My favorite way to prepare oyster now! 4. Shaking beef It might actually be called something on the menu but if you ask the waiter for 'shaking beef' then they'll know what you're referring to! Savory beef tenderloin bites perfect with rice! 5. Clay pot tofu 6. Spicy & sour hotpot 7. Salt & pepper spare ribs 8. Salt & pepper tofu 7. Steamed bokchoy 8. Combination fried rice 10. After living in OKC for three years, I've finally made it to Fung's. Picked up food to-go. Service was quick and friendly. Food is good! The Crab Rangoon is not over fried, and has good flavor. The potstickers were unlike any I've had, with a bit thicker dough and amped up filling. I like them a lot. The "crispy chicken" was kind of a cross between sweet and sour and Kung pao, a good thing for sure. Beef pan fried noodles are awesome as well. I'll definitely be back. Can't wait until the start offering dim sum service again to try that! read more

A group of us went for Dim Sum today and it was good but some indefinable quality was lacking to make it a five star meal of dim sum. The four of us discussed it later, and we actually prefer another restaurant for dim sum, but all of the individual items were better here. Hmm. Weird. I had the shrimp tofu first and it was wonderful. The tofu was thick and silky and has an excellent taste. In fact, I have to say I want more, many hours later. The shrimp shumai was the best I've ever had with a lot of shrimp. The mango pudding was alright but not really my cup of tea. In fact, I'd have to say there was a shortage of yummy desserts here. My favorite Cantonese style restaurant in Oklahoma. Surprisingly delicious but nontraditional grilled oysters - the spring onion sauce really makes it. But otherwise very classic dishes and flavor. Oh, nom. I think this is the best Chinese food in Oklahoma City (and possibly Tulsa...?). Came here for dim sum one weekend (no wait!!). They had all the typical dim sum dishes (chicken feet, shu mai, turnip cake, etc) and we didn't have any complaints about anything. It was all really good, albeit slightly expensive (average cost of each dish was $3.45-$4). But then again, this is Oklahoma. Good dim sum is hard to find. I stopped in for a quick lunch and the food was great! The service was fast and friendly. I ordered the Two BBQ Meat combo and I got the Chinese roasted duck and crispy pork belly. The meats were juicy and the sweet plum sauce complimented the meats perfectly! I also ordered a plate of sautéed Snow Peas and it came out perfectly just like how my mom would make it! I finally got to try this place out after hearing so many great things about their dim sum from a close friend! We went on a Saturday, shortly after they opened since she had warned us that they tend to get very packed very quickly. Definitely good idea because by the time it was 10:30, almost all of the tables were taken and before we knew it, there was a line!! I LOVED what they had to offer with their dim sum. OKC's dim sum options are fairly limited but between Fung's and Grand House, Fung's is my goto for the best dim sum experience you'll get in Oklahoma. As you may guess, OKC's options pale in comparison to what you'll find in SF and NYC. If you're not familiar with dim sum, as soon as you're seated, friendly waiters/waitresses with trays and carts filled with delicious Asian delights including but not limited to pork dumplings, shrimp dumplings, fried taro cakes, bbq pork-stuffed buns, tofu-skin rolls, Chinese broccoli, and so much more will stop by your table and you get to pick fresh, ala carte options. Be aware that each dish has a set price point from Small, Medium, and Large, each with an increasing price point! It's such a unique experience that I love treating my family and friends to. Dim sum is only found on the weekends in the mid-afternoon. On Sundays especially, it gets insanely busy (expect a wait time from 45 mins - 1 hr + after noon! The missing 1 star is the result of the limited selection of the more traditional and authentic dishes, and the less than incredible service. Stopped in late (9:30ish, which can be a problem in OKC still even on a friday) and we decided on an all veggie meal. And so the order was veggie three ways: Clay pot, Lo mein and Fried rice. Absolutely wonderful, good size plates. The tofu pieces are large (~1"x 1.5"), I forgot to ask to have them smaller and seared crispy. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed all of it. You do need to ask for chili oil and hot mustard due to the health restrictions. They have the large circular tables with built in rotating dish service, which is awesome for those larger groups willing to share unique dishes. Haven't been back here nearly enough after having moved to the other side of Hefner Lake but we're more likely to head here when on this side of town. (especially if Chow's is packed) read more

The food wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing either. One of the few spots in okc to get dim sum and it did its job and fulfilling my cravings. I like to get the taro and chicken feet. I lived in Hawaii for two years so I've been to many great dim sum places and they all offer complimentary hot tea. We'll see how the rest of the meal goes. I feel like it takes forever for the dim sum to come around. At other places there are lots of workers with carts going around. I usually don't have to wait for food more than a minute or so. Here I'm waiting and waiting for it to get to our table. I don't eat seafood or fish so waiting for something to come around that doesn't have fish or seafood in it takes forever. Not happy about the non fish food items. :( I was really looking forward to the baked egg custard buns, but when I bit into it, it was nothing like the many others I've had. It was dry and the custard in the middle was dry and not even the same consistency of the egg custard. I had high hopes I would find a dim sum place to satisfy my cravings, but I was sadly mistaken. I think Fung's Kitchen is more well known for their dim sum rather than the regular dishes. I met a friend here after work as we wanted to try their dumplings. However, the dumplings are available only during their dim sum hours (weekends only, boo), so we decided just to order off the regular menu. I ordered the crab ragoon and the salt and peppered tofu while my friend ordered the salt and peppered steak and the fried calamari. The crab ragoon could use a little more crab (you could barely taste it), but was decent. The salt and peppered tofu was good, but nothing worth raving. The salt and peppered steak was kind of sweet...? Definitely not what we were expecting, but it was alright tasting (the meat was a little rubbery though...) The fried calamari was also different than what we were expecting. The squid itself tasted fine, but I didn't like the batter they used. The batter is similar to the batter used for sweet and sour chicken. Overall, the food was just meh. It's alright, but definitely nothing worth writing home about. I would not come back here until it was for dim sum. read more

When you walk in, it smells great. There are roasted ducks hanging center front. My friend recommended this restaurant to me. I got an egg-roll, Thai tea, and the ginger chicken. My egg-roll and Thai Tea were good, but the ginger chicken was over cooked, dry. It took a long time for them to run our cards. I want Cantonese Chinese food, which led me to try Fung's Kitchen! Parking is available at the back of the property. I was seated right away and I didnt have to wait. My server gave me a menu and asked for my drink order. Everybody is sooo nice although my lady server is not quite oriented with the menu. I ordered hot pot roast pork tofu, and it came with rice (option for steamed or fried, I opted steamed!) I LOVED IT!!! The tofu was soft, accompanied by a velvety sauce with hints of ginger and some crisp veggies. It paired so well with the roast pork. Rice was the good kind, not cheap and cooked al dente. The only con I found on the dish was the cilantro. I got a little confused but still a solid dish nonetheless! Real huge servings, that I had to box my left over. We had an OK experience. There were 4 in our party and we each had something different off the dinner menu. I had the shrimp & vegetables. The shrimp was better than most places and the vegetables were fresh but lacked any Asian spices in the flavor. One of us had the honey chicken who was quite tasty and good white meat. However, another had the kung pow chicken and it was reported that the chicken tasted old and stale. The service was good but the prices were steep. We went here after 5pm for dinner, I am visiting and celebrate my mother's birthday. This is her favorite restaurant. I don't know who was the cook, but he did an excellent job. All the dishes were excellent and delicious!! My favorite was the salt and pepper crispy shrimp dish. The cook did not skimp on the shrimp. He gave plenty of shrimp, other restaurant gave only 8 shrimp! Very good cook. I will definitely come back whenever I visit OKC. Fung's Kitchen has a great regular menu during the week. Shared plates are very tasty. Ask my friend Lestari what she likes because she is a connoisseur of their menu. I come on the weekends for Dim Sum. The prices are in line with the other Dim Sum on weekends restaurant down the street. I prefer the taste here though. The staff is very friendly.
