Definitely a super fun active activity. Always wanted to try this as a kid and now that I've done it, it's cool to know. We booked for an hour and a half but due to the activeness level, we were done at an hour. The inflatable side was fun but I did not go in there as much as the actual course. Essentially the inflatable costs $2.50 more since you need to get their socks. One thing is my boyfriend and I were stared down the entire time we were in there by an employee which made us very uncomfortable, causing us to leave the inflatable area. The actual course was really fun, but it was a bit dangerous as there were small children running around everywhere and even in between the obstacles. I almost ran into kids a few times. If you are an adult, would recommend try going later at night or for adult only times as there were way too many children around. read more

I had friends with 3 kids visiting from out of town during their spring break. This is a good place for them to just let loose. It's also great for adults to get in some good workout. Trust me, you'll be sore next day. You'll use muscles you never thought you had. There are few obstacle courses and a huge bouncy area. We came here during the week and at about 10:00 am when they first opened so they weren't busy yet. We signed up for 1 1/2 hour session. But I suggest just to sign up for 1 hour. Because they really don't keep track of how long you stay...we ended up staying over 2 hours. It did start getting a little busier around noon time and i'm sure when school lets out its even much busier. There's a snack bar inside but it's very limited in what they sell...basically drinks, chips and candy. Outside food or drinks is not allowed to be brought in. But since this is inside the Main Place Mall, there is plenty of places to eat at. And you can re-enter without any issues. This place is located on the 3rd floor near the JC Penny wing. Since this is my first time here, the employees were very helpful in explaining things. I definitely recommend this place for fun and getting in some good workout...for kids and adults. read more

Found this place while looking for some fun things to do in the OC area. We made a quick reservation online. You can book per hour for a very reasonable price. My sister and I did not know what to expect but decided to give it a try since we're big fans of the show. Finding the place was a bit of a challenge itself since it's inside the shopping mall but we found it. We had to buy their grip socks to use the inflatable course but wanted the full experience so we paid the price. The employees were very kind and explained everything clearly. The place was pretty clean upon walking in. There were 4 different courses with various challenges with increasing difficulty level. They had a snack bar and kids parties are pretty popular on the weekends. We paid for 1 hour and you can repeat any course as many times as you'd like. My sister and I enjoyed our time but probably won't return just because it was busy and filled with kids just climbing and jumping off and through the course without any mind to other people waiting. With the nickname, Lynnja the Ninja, I had to come here! I've just been so busy I couldn't make my way over until my husband surprised me by bringing me here before lunch plans. He made reservations easily online, but may not have read instructions on how to come prepared. At least, he didn't give me the heads up on how to dress! I showed up in heels and thought I could just try the obstacle course with socks, but they require sneakers. So, we had to push back our reservation by 30 minutes, so I could find a pair of shoes in the mall. I also wish I fully read Alfred C's review as Google maps did not help us find the place! Note: It is close to JCPenney and located on the second floor of Main Place Mall. Once checked in at the front, they provide you with grippy socks ($3 each) to wear in the bouncy obstacle course and require you to watch a safety video for a few minutes. They have free lockers for you to store your belongings. The obstacle course as seen on the show is challenging! Many require hanging on ropes, scaling walls, gripping bars and other surfaces, so workout gloves would be clutch. I just wished it was a little bigger and had more to the obstacle course because we went through it in about 30 minutes. We almost passed up on the bouncy room, thinking it would be more for children, but I'm so glad we went in! The obstacle course in there was really fun as it had two lanes, which allowed my hubby and I to race. We also unleashed our inner child energy jumping around in there too. :) Overall, we had a great time and felt it was a nice $20 spent (each) on an adventurous date within an hour. Came to American Ninja Adventure for my daughter's 8th birthday, and we had a superb time! She and her friend had an absolute blast. Big shoutout to Giselle at the front desk--she's a sweetheart, so kind, and took the time to show us around and make us feel comfortable. The obstacles ranged from laughably easy to medium-hard to pretty darn challenging--at least for me, a self-proclaimed moderately fit adult. It was a blast, and I'll definitely be back to conquer all of the courses. MY ORDER 1 x 90-Minute Ninja Session 1 x M Toe Grip Socks 90-MINUTE NINJA SESSION ( $24.95): The park features five main courses laid out in straight columns, each packed with 4-5 obstacles you need to tackle to reach the end. Think ropes, swinging apparatuses, and monkey bars etc. There's also a bouncy house obstacle course for those who are sick of the subtle comfort of flat land. I focused on the five courses and found the difficulty level pretty spot-on for an untrained novice like me. There were one or two obstacles I couldn't quite finish, which, to be honest, only added to the fun because because the challenge is half the fun. My session came to an abrupt end when I fell in the bouncy house, tragically opening up a small (but painful) flesh wound. It turns out bouncy houses are not as innocent as they look. Wear long pants. That said, I left with my pride only slightly bruised and a strong desire for revenge on those courses next time. There is a concessions area inside, but I did not buy anything. TOE GRIP SOCKS ($3.5): You need to purchase a pair of their socks with grip underfoot, but i believe if you already have your own, you can forgo the purchase. Nice socks. Fit well with orange grip things on the bottom. I'll reuse them. Tips: - Wear long pants--scraping your knees or other exposed parts on plastic surfaces is not the badge of honor you think it'll be. Great place to visit for ninja warrior enthusiasts. Located inside the Santa Ana Main Place Mall on the second level. On the weekends (not sure about Friday) they have a dedicated 1 hour set aside just for little tots. That way the little ones could enjoy the course without being in the way of the adults. Adults get in free with kids (for that hour) That was really nice. My little ones enjoyed the air course the best. It was a ginormous bounce house. Do feel prepared to purchase their specific American warrior socks . They come at 3 bucks a pair. Overall my family had a great experience and would definitely recommend everyone. We finally got a chance to visit American Ninja Warrior Adventure Park. I bought the tickets online which is $1-2 cheaper per ticket than buying in-person. We got the 60 minute session which is all you need. They have lockers to store your stuff and restrooms inside as well. They play an orientation video 5 minutes before your session start time. They have two types of courses - one that requires shoes and the other which requires grip socks. The course that require shoes are all the jumping & swinging obstacles as well as the wall run. The course that requires grip socks and no shoes is the inflatable one which we found more difficult. They have mostly climbing obstacles and slides in there. We were sweating after 45 minutes and were sore the next day. It's definitely a fun activity that you can do in any setting. I recommend trying it at least once! read more

I'm being lenient in my review since they were open only a few weeks when we visited. The main point is that if you love the show, then you will love the opportunity to run the obstacles because it's not anything you can do at the gym or anywhere unless you have a huge plot of land and build it yourself. Plus it's only about $20 for entrance fee, for an hour. They provide lockers for you to put your stuff. The negatives: 1. Kids everywhere and not following rules. You might be waiting for your turn on a course but kids will just randomly cut into a part of it here and there. 2. Staff seems understaffed, confused, and slow but no one was rude or mean. 3. It was a little dirty with all the sweaty people and I actually got a small rash afterwards. It would be great if staff could clean the equipment. You could also see kids eating and then running in to play. 4. You must purchase their socks for the inflatable. It doesn't matter if you have your own grippy socks. 5. Kids had a blast! We got there as soon as the park opened up. (Note that this place is in the mall, second story). For the first 30 minutes, it was awesome, we were the only party for the first 15 minutes...then a few kids followed after. The kids started off at the obstacle courses and spend a good 40 minutes there. The wall was pretty challenging...haha. The rest of the time 80 minutes, was spent in the inflatable area. I wish I was able to get in there to take some pictures, but you needed to have their special grip socks in order to go in. The restrooms were clean and the staff members were all pretty friendly. Parking is plentiful as there is a parking garage. :) There are a few tables for parents to sit at, so going early is key....u less you are there for a birthday, then there is a room in the private area. :) read more

Saturday afternoon. First time here so we booked for 90 mins. The park is separated into a obstacle course and a bouncy area that has a obstacle course. Both sides are not too big and can be easily completed within an hour. The run multiple birthday parties throughout the day but manage the crowds by time slots so it never really feels too crowded. There are always kids running around but not to the point where feels overwhelming. Kid pricing and adult pricing is the same, they make you buy their socks for sanitary reasons. Overall a good option on a rainy day, 60 mins is sufficient but the kids will surely max out the full time even if you do more than 60mins. read more

American Ninja Warrior Park opened last June. Still fairly new and not sure if word has gotten out about it yet. They are located in Main Place Mall on the second floor towards the back end by JC PENNY. COST: $19.95 per person per hour, free for spectators but can NOT enter the courses. If you plan on doing the inflatable course you will need grip socks which are an extra $3.75. **You can do longer sessions but honestly 30 minutes was enough your girl was EXHAUSTED. The inflatable course was so awesome and so FUN. It was the only thing I was actually able to fully complete and I enjoyed myself. Otherwise, there are 4 ninja courses and they are not for the weak! It "looks" easy but it was difficult-- I could not complete one in full and I had some sore arms for two days after!! hah killer workout if you keep at it for a full hour session. The only gripe is there are a lot of little kids running around especially with birthday parties going on so they just run onto the course without waiting in line. Its controlled chaos at its best. It would be cool if they had ADULT only sessions similar to their mini ninja sessions. Otherwise, a good time, challenging but fun. Appreciate that they let you know to come in athletic wear/ shoes before arrival. I also recommend STRETCHING as the courses are not a breeze. We came to check out American Ninja Warrior as a potential venue to host my son's birthday. It's located on the 2nd story of Main Place Mall by the JC Penney. Although we ended up not booking them, they were extremely friendly and helpful and we thought the place and concept was pretty cool. They have a main seating area for larger parties, and a few smaller rooms in the back to host smaller parties (up to 10). And the way the courses are set up it appears there are about 4-5 lanes/stations for kids to go through, as well as a bounce-house behind the courses. It was really crowded when we came to visit on a rainy Saturday though. There were 4 parties happening at once and just really busy and chaotic. I'm sure the rainy day made it even busier than usual. I think this place would be ideal for 8-10 year olds. read more

THEY CANCELED MY CHILD'S BIRTHDAY PARTY HOURS BEFORE IT STARTED - WITH 100 GUESTS INVITED! I don't believe in hurting a business with bad reviews, but what happened here was excessive and impacted far too many families to go unspoken. My son's party was confirmed earlier in the week, yet at 1:30 pm the day of (for a 5:00 pm start), I was suddenly told it was canceled "technical-difficulties". No last-minute alternatives were offered, no coordination with other venues, and no meaningful effort to relieve the stress they created. To make matters worse, their phones stopped working, emails bounced back, making communication impossible. But it all stopped working Thursday, they could have given a more timely notice. Other families had events that same day, it was irresponsible not to provide timely notice or solutions. As a parent, I had to scramble to relocate 100 guests within hours, an incredibly stressful experience for me and devastating for my child. Amazing and fun new place, for kids and parents alike!! We came for my nephew's bday party and ages 2-40 all had a blast! The pizza is delish, the service is spot on and it's nice and clean, all American themed to match, of course. They have a Fridge/freezer if you bring an ice cream cake. Super accommodating all around. All the staff are knowledgeable and sweet and diligent. To save on time complete the waivers prior to your party date although you can do it there too. Best to park in parking structure 4 and it's just a quick walk in to the elevator to 2nd floor and it's right there! Both our kids absolutely loved the entire experience. Our youngest (5) enjoyed the inflatable section the most, as she was able to go up and down all the various obstacles throughout the entire course! My wife was unsure if they would have problems getting over some walls, but it was not an issue since there are ropes and items to help :) Our oldest loved the challenge of running up the wall, and was able to master it by the end of our session. The expression on his face, once he made it to the top of the wall, says everything you need to know! He also enjoyed the inflatable section and the regular obstacle course area too. 25% OF THE OBSTACLE FEATURES WERE BROKEN on our visit, 4 Obstacle courses with 4 features each, 3 courses had broken (4 total) features that you bypass to continue the course. The broken features were all balance features that are good for smaller kids Vs the upper body features suited for older kids and adults. YOU WILL HAVE TO BUY THEIR SOCKS. Even if you have grip socks identical to theirs they won't let you use them. Quote: "They have to be ours." said the girl at the desk. THE "BOUNCE" and "OBSTACLE" COURSES ARE SMALLER/DIFFERENT THAN SHOWN ON THEIR WEBSITE. On their website, the photos and video (the drone fly through of the course) show ball pits and and many more features than this location has. Also the "Obstacle" area seems smaller too. BIRTHDAYS ARE HELD IN THE COMMON SNACK BAR AREA. While we were not there for a kid's birthday party, I noticed several birthdays located in the common snackbar area simply roped off with stanchions. On their site it says "Private Party Room" but this didn't appear to be the case. YES, IT'S WORTH GOING FOR BOTH KIDS AND REASONABLY FIT ADULTS for 60 MINUTES. The 6yo kid had a blast in the Bounce area (racing in the tandem bounce obstacle course) doing all of the features. Kid also did surprisingly well in the Obstacle course handling the ropes, making really big transitions for their short stature, and even summiting the shorter Warp Wall on the 7th try! I with my middle aged body was pleasantly surprised that I could conquer the Spider Wall including trampoline entry, Warp Wall, several ropes obstacles, and even some of the overhead obstacles. Came here for the first time and Scott showed up around the course and some tips as well! All the staff here are great and supportive. Coming from being a couch potato, the lane courses here were challenging but I still had a great time trying them out. The inflatable bouncing area was more fun than I thought. I felt like a little astronaut jumping in space and that made my inner child happy. I'd recommend it for all adults and children to enjoy together. Fun, fun and more fun! From start to end, we had the best experience working with Woody and Scott plus their AMAZING staff employees. They were so accommodating to all my request as the event coordinator, but I think the best part was how my guests were greeted and treated by their staff. They went above and beyond to facilitate and interact with them. Our elementary school booked a private event with ANW for 2 hours on a Friday evening. This venue is ideal for upper graders and older guests, but we made it work for our primary students as well. If your elementary school decides to book a party, make sure you designate time frames to separate kindergarten through third grade and fourth through sixth so that the younger kids can enjoy it too. We separated the groups so that all primary would enjoy the obstacle course while the upper graders enjoyed the inflatables and vice versa. This venue is pretty new so everything was so clean. It was nice having the whole place to ourselves and we were able to receive 2 slices of pizza and a drink per person. Loved how they included the socks and locker rentals were free too. I highly recommend having your party here. Thanks again for giving my school and all our guests the best experience. We hope to visit again soon! read more

Much, much smaller than I expected. There were only 4 small courses- two for kids, two for adults, I think. I have a hard time believing that the inflatable was 6,000 sq feet as stated on the website. I think the photos on the website really give a false expectation. If the website showed pics of the actual location, I would have felt better about the experience. It was a good deal to pay $13 for 1 hour, but my son lost interest in less than 30 min. He has been taking parkour classes, so I thought he would enjoy it longer. I felt like there needed to be more space in front of the warp wall to have space to run. The inflatable wasn't particularly unique, so I don't understand why we needed to buy their specific socks when we already had grip socks. Management was notified about how rude sassy and disrespectful she was and gave an extra half hour... what was the point if she just continued the whole time. She was telling people how to fall and do things.... again I get safety but it was her tone and the way every little turn she ran up tapping people like being very rude and unprofessional about it . I will be writing to corporate because we had a birthday party here with a group of level headed adults . My kids and myself all had the same experience with the same employee Mary Jane. Was encouraged to do the 90 minute session, but ended up not needing it and finished everything in 30 minutes. The venue is pretty small, and they require you to buy socks of course, so the totals for 2 was around $50. Also, one of the obstacles was under repair, so we couldn't do that one. Employees also watch you the whole time and as I understand people need to know how to do the obstacles, it often felt like we were being watched and couldn't do anything ourselves, especially the warped wall when I didn't want to get my shirt dirty by sliding.
