I visited the facility ahead of my dogs' stay and was greeted right away. The staff gave me a full tour, showing the different room options and both the indoor and outdoor play areas. I also noticed there were a lot of employees present during my visit, which gave me peace of mind knowing the dogs are well cared for. They even suggested bringing my dogs in for day camp before their stay, which I really appreciated. I dropped them off for a few hours, and that helped me feel even more confident moving forward. I booked a 3-night stay and received updates when I called to check in, which I loved. When I picked them up, I was greeted immediately again, and the staff was just as friendly as before. Most importantly, my dogs seemed happy--and that means everything. I'll definitely be using Applewood Pet Resort for all my future boarding needs

After moving further away, I tried a couple of 'pet resorts' on the westside of town, but was never totally happy for various reasons. So, now I drive further for Applewood, but am confident that my Ragdoll will be properly cared for and paid attention to according to my wishes--they keep a score card as to how he does each day. There is a veterinary on the property as well. Various styles of lodging are available to pick from--even keeping bonded pairs together if desired. I highly recommend Applewood for cats! (Dogs are welcome too.)

I never had issues with Fur Babies until last year. During an incident at their PV location an…read moreemployee grabbed my sheep doodle by the ear and dragged him out of the room while I watched in horror. The manager corrected it right away. Then this year in March while I was out of the country my husband informed me that my sheep doodle had blood on his white fur. After investigating it he said there was a puncture would. I called the Fur Babies at the Scottsdale location where he was for daycare. The front desk reached out to the manager and informed me that my dog " came in hot, was met by the pack of other dogs and corrected as they should according to her and then said my dog went and coward in a corner." I asked several times if at any point did a human intervene, why hadn't anyone notice the wound, could I see the video footage and to have the owner reach out to me. After several phone calls over a month's time I spoke to another manager and she said the Scottsdale manager was going through something and that's why she never reached out to me. If my dog is injured at your facility it is your job to reach out to me or someone on my contact list. I leave very specific instructions with emergency contacts, vets info and my pet taxi person who would have taken him to the vet in case of emergency. None of that was done! The puncture wound was big enough to see but then they asked if my shihtzus could have done it. The answer is, no! This hole was a big dogs canine or claw! I've had multiple dogs get groomed here and do their daycare program. I'm so disappointed that no one personally reached out to me or apologized. Zero accountability. Needless to say, they will never go back there and I have found a new doggy daycare.

At my previous appointment, my dog was given severe razor burn on her belly. She was clearly in pain for about a week afterward. I brought photos of the injury and showed them to the staff at our most recent visit because I wanted to make sure it wouldn't happen again. The grooming service is supposed to take about an hour. When I hadn't received a call after an hour, I went to pick up my dogs. When I arrived, one of my dogs was still on the grooming table with what appeared to be a new employee being trained. She seemed unsure of what she was doing, and my dog was visibly stressed. At that point, I asked them to stop the groom and finish as-is because I wasn't comfortable continuing. I paid about $200, including a tip, and left. Once I got home, I realized one dog's nails hadn't been trimmed, her haircut was uneven, and the style didn't resemble the reference photos I had provided. I ended up trimming her nails and fixing her haircut myself. I also found a fresh nick under her chin that wasn't there before. I was charged $75 per dog, and for that price I expected a safe, complete, and professional grooming experience. Instead, I left with an incomplete groom, an injured dog, and had to finish the work myself at home. I understand that everyone has to train new groomers, but training should be closely supervised and customers should be informed if someone inexperienced will be working on their pet. Most importantly, the quality of care and the safety of the animals should never be compromised.

Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to her this week, but she couldn't have had any better care than what she received over the years at SRAH. Dr Nick is always very thorough and clear in explaining a diagnosis and takes the time to answer any questions. We have two other dogs that also see Dr Nick and we will continue bringing them in for hopefully many years to come.

We had our three dogs on pet plans for over three years, paying over $100 plus a month for each dog. After the heartbreaking loss of one of our beloved dogs Sydney last august we decided to cancel the pet plans, realizing we weren't using them as expected. To our shock, two months later, I received a call stating I owed $650 for the pet plans. When I called to inquire about these charges, I was told it was a remaining balance, which makes no sense since we had canceled the plans. I was assured that the office manager would look into it and clear everything up. I never heard anything back so I thought they cleared it up and that was that! WRONG Fast forward to two weeks ago , when I called to bring in my very sick dog Tiva and I was informed that they wouldn't help us because of the outstanding $650 balance that I was told was a mistake and would get cleared up. This forced me to find a new veterinarian, and Having to wait to get her in and my dog passing away! Their lack of communication and compassion during such a difficult time is unacceptable. I would not recommend Pima North Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a caring and reliable veterinary service. They are very money hungry and lack any care or compassion!
