We ordered the garlic green beans which was decent, beef chow fun which was standard and had good pieces of velveted beef, honey walnut prawns which was good, but what stood out was the crispy duck. They had freshly deep fried the duck to where it was light and crispy. So I really was excited to try Furi as the reviews are great! We both ordered the Single Dinner and we started with soup. I ordered the Hot and Sour, my mom the egg drop. It was delicious soup, both of us!! Then we received our meals, and I was shocked as the size of the portions... SO MUCH FOOD! Us both being single we wondered how many meals this would get us through, but normally fried food isn't that good past the 2nd day of take out and gets soggy, this was the case but we almost go through all our leftovers. The General Tso was just ok for me. It wasn't spicy and was like sweet and sour chicken with some chilli pieces. It was flavorful, but I have had much better. My mom had Almond Chicken and we both really liked the sauce and flavor and texture. The fried rice was tasty and basic, but included at no charge as well as the white and brown rice. I am excited to go back. The owner came out and met with us and the staff was so friendly. Portions huge. Just wish my favorite, General Tso had more flavor but 4.25 stars this time around, we will be back to try some other items! read more

This was our first try after living in the area for ever. It was great food, excellent service and a nice seating area. We had wonton soup ,chicken fried rice, Mongolian beef, chicken chow mein, walnut covered shrimp and almond fried chicken. All the food is great! But the best thing ever is the sweet and sour sauce!! It is made with fresh fruit and tasted better than any I have ever had. I tend not to like sweet n sour items but this is simply AMAZING. There is a constant flow of people coming in for take out. We always get a container of this to take home. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable too. We live nearby and eat here at least once a week. My only wish is that they would serve mai tais. OMG reading some reviews I wonder if people have ever had real Chinese food? And I think I can critique fairly since I am Chinese. Stopped in here the other day since we were in the area and have been wanting to try this place out. We ordered the lunch specials, my husband got some shrimp dish and I got the almond fried chicken. Was about the worst chicken I have ever had. The sauce was some kind of orange'ish colored liquid over the tasteless chicken. My husband is one of those "clean your plate" guys. He left over half his food. I only ate about 2 pieces of chicken because I was hungry. Soy sauce could not have even saved it. I ordered the white rice. It was old burnt tasting rice. My husband had the fried rice. It was just literally rice with soy sauce stirred into it. The egg roll, well I don't know what was supposed to be inside, it was all mushy. I give it the 1 star because my husband seemed to like the BBQ pork, and the egg flower soup was decent. I took my leftovers to go, because I didn't want to leave a whole plate of food. But after thought, maybe I should have, then they would know that it was inedible, because all I was going to do was bring it home to toss it out. Usually I would think about giving a place a 2nd try, but I don't even want to think about it. So no, I won't be back. read more

The food was good, the service was better. Ordered takeout- they said it would be ready in 40 mins, but when I asked if they could do it in 20 because our toddler was hungry they accommodated us and got the food out fast! When we picked it up they even gave our daughter a lollipop :) The menu is not different than most small American Chinese restaurants, but the food is much lighter and fresher than most (lots of crisp bright veggies, lighter sauces, not too salty). This will be our "summer" Chinese takeout. It was also generously portioned for the price- our favorite "winter" Chinese takeout (heavier/greasier) in Seattle is almost twice the price. Having tired of mediocre Asian food, we turned to Yelp knowing that there must be some better Cantonese north of Seattle! We found Furi, read the reviews and even recognized another elite Yelper that had written a favorable review. Thanks Rita! We called our neighbors and the four of us went on a busy Friday night. Parking was plentiful in the strip mall lot, we were warmly greeted and seated immediately which is always a good sign. We all ordered wine by the glass that was modestly priced and poured from a bottle while priced like it came from a box! Each of us ordered an entree for all of us to share family style. Added flavorful hot and sour soup, crispy egg rolls and delightful potstickers. Everything served to us was fresh and hot off the wok. The huge plated mountain of steamy fried rice included carrots and peas and was delicious as a foundation to pile on all of the Sweet and sour pork, Kung Pao chicken, honey walnut shrimp and garlic green beans. Needless to say, dinner was tasty & plentiful. There were lots of leftovers to have for Saturday morning breakfast mixed with scrambled eggs and we are really excited to add Furi as our new go to place for the best Asian food we have enjoyed since our last visit to San Francisco! Due to the coronavirus season, it's so hard to find a decent restaurant to order take out food, but i found this one. My favorite Chinese dishes are always Sichuan spring bean and chicken wings. So i ordered them with Chow fun and seafood tofu pot. Quality of the service is absolutely fantastic, the receptionist was asking me when i will be arriving, because of chicken wings and spring bean won't be crispy if waited too long. So she asked that if i could give them a 10 mins heads up call before my arrival, the chef could start cooking to make sure the food is fresh and crispy. I was like OMG, nobody ever did this before. She was definitely go above and beyond.. Quality of the food is absolutely delicious, i was able to eat the fresh wings and spring beans fresh and crispy ( that's why i like those dishes), the chow fun was not that oily, and very flavorful not salty, and the seafood tofu pot was delicious as well. When I moved here I realized that good Chinese food is pretty hard to come by in this town unless you're willing to drive to Vancouver. I had almost given up hope and then I found this place. Phenomenal food. Very high quality ingredients and the service here is spectacular. They also make legit Hawaiian style cake noodle. Well I learned it's actually a dish from the hakka people in China. Guess a lot of them immigrated to Hawaii a long time ago and their cake noodle dish has made a mark in all Chinese restaurants in Hawaii. You have to ordered it off the menu. The guy kept asking customers as they came in just wonderful questions for them to feel comfortable in the restaurant and he thanked everyone for patronizing the restaurant. I recommend you check it out. I think if we give him good business he'll treat us right and prepare decent food. I had the chicken wings with spicy sauce which were very good. And that I had the Westlake soup which was in a huge, I really mean humongous, giant bowl. The sauces are perfect and flavorful without being too salty or over seasoned. I eat clean food and often times feel sluggish and uncomfortable after a meal at restaurants. Not at Furi !!! I had the tofu egg with seafood and vegetables. The seafood; scallops, shrimp and white fish were cooked to perfection and so fresh and clean. The vegetables were also cooked to perfection. We all got egg flower soup; 3 w/an egg roll other w/fried shrimp; all w/fried rice; 3 w/Mangolian Beef and the other w/honey walnut shrimp. Egg flower soup-it was ok. A little bland but they give soy packets. Egg roll-good; crunchy. Fried shrimp- good. Fried rice- BIG portion, NOT greasy. Mongolian beef- DELICIOUS, right amount of spice, vegetables & seasonings. Honey walnut shrimp- Yummy, good size shrimps, more walnuts would've been nice(my preference). I wouldn't mind ordering from them again. read more

Wow, I was surprised how good this place was. Lunch special was only $13.95. some of the little things pleased me. Like the water came with ice (I hate lukewarm water like it just came out of the tap). And here's a real surprise... The soup came nice and hot and in a sizeable bowl. I'm used to those tiny ceramic bowls and it being cold like it's an afterthought. Soup was good too, with smooth tofu and nice flavor. The egg roll on the plate was also fresh and crisp with a pleasing ginger flavor. The main dish was tender and plentiful. Really, really good! My one gripe is that the fried rice was bland. Even looking at it, there was no color in it. I think they could have mixed in some chopped green onion or something. That said, at least they didn't infiltrate it with those awful frozen lama beans and tiny carrot cubes. Cake noodle! I'm from Hawaii and am always looking for places that make a good cake noodle, and I found one at Furi! It's one of the chef specialties at the back of the menu, think it was called Hong Kong Cake...anyway, delicious and just like how they make it in Hawaii! Also really enjoyed the Salt & Pepper Fish Fillet. Batter was crisp and not too thick, and love the chopped garlic and peppers garnish. Sweet and sour chicken was a bit of a miss to me, too much batter and chicken was chewy. We wanted to try their special fish dish but I guess you have to call ahead to order it, so will definitely do that next time. Excellent place to have some authentic Chinese food. We ordered broccoli beef, honey walnut shrimp, eggplant, salt, and pepper fish, among others, and every dish was delicious. It was impossible to pick one favorite over the other. The service was wonderful. Even the chef came out to see how we had liked the food. We we're celebrating my sister's birthday and they were nice enough to bring her some ice cream with a candle and sing happy birthday to my sister along with us. I took out the huge amount of green peppers, added a good pinch of black pepper and a dash of vinegar to make it worth eating. The black pepper and salt calamari had zero spice or salt. This was a perfect treat for me and my family today. The restaurant wasnt packed but from all of the good reviews and the great photos we had to try it! The service was good but the food was Excellent! The appetizer wings not only looked delicious but had a delicious juicy taste to match. My husbands general tsos chicken was fresh white meat and the sauce was good. My teen girls both had fish and chips which they really enjoyed and my food broccoli and shrimp wasn't listed but they knew what I was asking for and obliged! But shrimp were juicy, plump and succulent. This restaurant instantly ranked in my top 5 places but #1 for Chinese restaurants for us!! Impressed. We all know how many subpar or just terrible Chinese restaurants there are or there. I usually don't expect much. However, this small Chinese restaurant in downtown Edmonds is surprisingly fabulous. The interior is just the way I like it- over the top and festive. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the menu selection is great. They have salt and pepper calamari and tofu! Which is just so hard to find anywhere outside the I.D. And they have lemon chicken, which is also sorta hard to come by. We ordered the S&P Calamari, prawn chow mein and lemon chicken. All 3 items were tasty. The lemon chicken was a huge portion and the lemon sauce is quite thin. Not in a bad way though. It was less heavy and so flavorful. And the noodles, well, there were none left in the container when we were finished. A good amount of prawns and the flavor was just the way I like it. Just wish there were even more veggies. I cannot wait to eat here again and plan to do so inside the restaurant this time. read more
