I ordered my vanity from here and specifically chose one that had Bluetooth features so I could play music. When I picked it up, they gave me the wrong vanity even after confirming it was the correct one. I had even build the whole vanity and it had no bluetooth features. Because of that, I had to drive an additional 45 minutes back to Modesto to exchange it, which was really upsetting and inconvenient. Probably the worst customer service I've ever had. Got a brand new expensive remote control recliner December 1st and after hundreds of phone calls, asking my bank to refund they finally fixed my chair in April yeah The reply from Manny posted here is incorrect. Too much to put here but I have screen shots from messages I sent, phone history of calls that were not returned and the dispute with the bank was after a month of trying to get my Recliner fixed. In the end they did fix it, but it was 4 months of frustration. read more

Furniture city is terrible. Their customer service is the worst. We ordered a couch and they gave us the wrong one. We called to get the correct one and they refused to pick up the wrong one. They also said that it will take about a week to get the new one even though we mentioned that we needed the couch before a certain date. They made the mistake on their end and will not give us a refund or a discount. They are extremely rude on the phone. I do not think this place is worth a single dime. Even discount furniture stores are better than this. DO NOT SHOP HERE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They only reply when it is convenient to them. We hung up in frustration because of the situation. Their associates are very unprofessional. You cannot expect people to be okay receiving the wrong couch. We hadn't had time to set up the couch but again this was THEIR MISTAKE. RUN far away from this store!!! please do not make my mistake of trusting them! we bought a $1300.00 Ashley couch set at Furniture City in Modesto, splurged for what we thought was "quality" we received our couches wrapped in heavy plastic and cardboard and they were loaded on our truck that way by Furniture City employees, , when we got home the couches were put in the house with the heavy plastic and cardboard, we unwrapped the plastic in the house and saw some issues with the couch, warped on the bottom, frayed on the couch after two days, called, the woman at Furniture City when I called wanted pictures and then she texted and said" it wasn't her problem " I called and she said the same thing and " not her problem" we should have unwrapped the plastic at the warehouse, it's my problem not hers, she was condescending, unprofessional and they were loaded with the plastic on and tied down by the two warehouse employees, in our truck so how were we to know t it was defective at that time? this was very heavy plastic.. unfathomable how absolutely terrible their customer service is and they do not guarantee anything even their defective furniture, worst experience ever! read more

If I could give this company ZERO stars, I would. What a horrible company who scams people. I should have read the reviews before purchasing my bed. Sadly, I did see the ratings and wanted to give this place a chance, only to find out it's a total scam with a bunch of sharks. I visited this place early December after seeing their Instagram and a bed that I saw in one of their posts. In general it's a beautiful set up- it definitely makes you starry eyed when shopping because of the set up and fancy furniture displays. Well, I found the bed I wanted and the display showed 2 different prices. One lower price if you pay out of pocket and one price if you finance through them. Well, interesting enough... if you look at the Instagram post, I asked how much a queen size bed would be and they replied $999 or OAC (on approved credit) $20 a month. What FALSE advertisement! When I went to check out they quoted me $1200 total w delivery and set up fee if I paid out of pocket. If I went though OAC, the total would be $1670 with shipping. And OAC ended up being like $90. (OAC means on approved credit through them or financed through them) (Note: delivery and set up was $379) I really wanted the bed and I trusted these fools so I just went w OAC even though what they wrote to me on Instagram was false information. Well, day of delivery, two men brought the bed up to our place and set it up. I signed stating it was delivered and they left. Sadly, I didn't realize this bed didn't come w a box spring and I was NOT told during the time of purchase that it would need one. So, we tried calling the Furniture City that night and no one picked up the phone. We were left with having to take the bed apart and place our other one back temporarily. And well, we discovered that the two men who set it the bed up,damaged the screws. They used power drills in the screws (See pics), rather then an Allen wrench which destroyed the inside of the screws. We had a difficult time taking them out because of their negligence. Then we noticed the very next day that parts of the lining in the velvet were starting to unravel. We contacted a Furniture City and explained what was going on and they told us to text pictures to a phone number listed on our invoice. We did just that only to receive a nasty text message that there is nothing they can do since we didn't purchase insurance and that we should just go buy new screws. So I called their store and spoke to a person who put me on hold for 20 minutes and then it went back to ringing and some lady name Jenny who I truly believe wasn't her name, picked up the phone. She was extremely rude, had a nasty attitude and just kept repeating that we signed a binding contract and there is nothing she can do and she just kept saying, "do what you have to do." "I'm going to hang up now." She also accused my husband and I flat out of damaging the bed ourselves and damaging the screws. WOW. Seriously?! How the how does this lady whoever her real name is even have a job? I'm going to be reporting this company to Channel 7 and The BBB. Also, I found out I was scammed! How? They don't tell you who the brands are of the items you purchased until after it ships. I found out this bed is from Ashley Home Furniture and it costs less than $900 and you can even find it on other websites for about $800-$900 and the shipping is cheaper. They screwed on delivery, cheated me on pricing and are just horrible people. Side note: I've bought furniture directly from Ashley Home Furniture before... and yes, I signed a contact upon delivery but when I found something wrong a day later- I called and they happily sent me a new replacement. So, listen to these reviews. They aren't fake. These people are scamming good honest people who work hard for their money. The least they could have done was offer me new screws. Do your research. You can find these products on Ashley Home Furniture as well as the Classy Home Furniture for better pricing and better service and you aren't dealing with a bunch of crooks. read more

THEY BRING INCOMPLETE ORDERS & DELIVER WHAT THEY WANT AND REFUSE TO TAKE THE ITEMS BACK ONCE THEY ARE IN YOUR HOME. **DON'T BE FOOLED BY ALL THE BEAUTY WHEN YOU WALK IN THE STORE** I just received my order from this store yesterday after waiting six months. This order was placed on July 4, 2021, max delivery date was 16-20 wks. Needless to say yesterday 12/27/21 apprx 3:30pm, my table was delivered with only 2 of the 4 chairs it was supposed to come with. I immediately notified the manager. First he implied that would check another customers order for the chairs, then he said that they forgot my chairs, then he said the chairs were in stock in the warehouse and they could deliver them next week. Keep in mind I was never informed my order was being delivered incomplete. Originally when they told me they had some of the furniture in stock (a few weeks back), I told them to hold it until they had the complete order and deliver it all at once. Well this institution delivered the table with two chairs without notifying me about the missing items, allowing them to bring the furniture into my home. They delivery guys attempted to leave and that's when I had to say "wait where's my other 2 chairs?" They replied the order only included two. I asked them to take it back and for it to be delivered as a completed order. He told. the drivers to take a picture of my home to verify that the delivered the order then told the drivers to leave. I am flabbergasted. The manger Asha refused to take it back to the store until the order is full and complete. I asked to speak with someone else in management and he told me he was the highest person that I could speak with and there was nobody above him and he refused to be helpful in the situation by taking this half order back to the store and attempt to deliver it once it was completed. I feel very disrespected that after waiting 6 months for this order they would allow a half order to be delivered with no notice and then refused to take it back or consider a refund. I feel violated that this place of business thinks their abrasive and predatory tactics are ok. By allowing these contracted drivers to deliver and assemble incomplete orders and then refuse to take it back by hiding the fact they're incomplete. If I could leave zero stars for this establishment I definitely would. I'll also be forwarding a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. read more

The workers are rude the manager is worse , they will frustrate you to the point where you ask for a refund, but a refund is at their discretion and it's only 20 to 50% of your money back I regret ever going here don't be fooled by their Instagram the furniture they get, you can order off-line and cut the middleman. The quality is subpar a lot of it is really cheap and I've seen a lot of it on Amazon also I would never recommend them to anybody, and I make sure to tell everybody do not make the same mistake as me . I posted a rant about this company on my instagram, and I wasn't the only one complaining about them. Right now they are 5 stars this place is huge and I thought the prices were great they have something. For everyone's price here there are 3 floors of furniture I loved almost everything I saw. We did purchase a sectional and they said it was in stock and would take 3 weeks for delivery and the receipt said due to covid 3-6 weeks it Rami said he did not think it would take that long to arrive. We purchased the warranty for our sectional I'm hoping not to use it but I purchased it just In case. My review is for the store itself and Rami who helped us with our sale The store itself is fabulous big clean bright and has so many choices and prices for every level. What I loved the most when I walked in I was not pranced upon by the sales associates they actually were letting us leisure at our pace and right when we did have a question Rami happened to be near never once did I feel like I was pressured by any sales associate. TOTAL SCAMMER ALERT!! If I could leave no stars, I would, but 1 star is what this location deserves. I have shopped at this location for a brand new couch and came to find out that they never mentioned to us that we weren't going to get my delivery fee ($300) back. We understood that they drove all the way from Modesto over to Milpitas, but if it didn't fit, we could have been told otherwise. The drivers were no help of explaining nor giving us another option to get my couch delivered to my home. I spent a couple thousands just to get my couch and decided to deliver it back to the warehouse. Now i don't even have my brand new couch in my living room, which now I could say lesson learned and DO NOT GO INTO THIS LOCATION AT ALL!!! PS if this location can't deliver my couch, I should be able to get my money refunded back to my account so I could shop for another couch, but still wouldn't help us out. Nadia Tapia was so patient with my husband and I as we were trying to find our ideal replacement sofa. We unfortunately couldn't find the right color for the sleeper style sofa we want but Nadia took her time searching for plenty of options. What will forever make her stick out to me when it comes to exceptional customer service was the fact that the poor thing was dealing with an allergic reaction to pineapple from her lunch break. Her neck was all red but and she was still so patient trying to find us the perfect sofa. When it comes time to redo our bedroom in the next few months, we plan on returning to see her. Very poor customer service, not at any level it's something to expect in USA. I spent 50k on this store and drove 70 miles to order my whole house furniture, but very disappointed with the service. It's one year now and I am still waiting for part of my order. Now they said we can refund your money, and refund is half the price we paid for the item, like really guys. They delivered a defective item and promised to replace, but I am waiting for over six months for replacement now, no courtesy to inform me like when to expect. I am going to file a complaint with BBB also and will take a legal action soon. One extra star I gave here is for quality, but customer service is so frustrating that you will forget about quality. read more
