Really great fried rice, I ask to add broccoli and remove the spicy peppers which makes it great for kids. Add shrimp. There are so many options at this restaurant. Barry gets the Thai chicken which has a really good flavor. The veggie Thai rolls are good too. For the Thai chicken ask that they leave off the peanut sauce because it can be heavy- just request it on the side. Great portions and flavors. They are closed on Mondays. So on Monday go to the pizza place in the same shopping area for the pizza special that they have on Monday- that's what I did, after I figured that out. read more

Wow! The eggplant steaks with garlic sauce are soooo tasty! These thin Chinese eggplants were grilled to perfection, accompanied by a bevy of veggies, including slivered onions and slim strips of red and green peppers, tossed in a tangy garlic sauce. Heaven on a plate, especially when accompanied by a generous side bowl of rice. Service was friendly. I'd give the restaurant 5 stars, but I found the constant pounding of techno beat music a bit annoying. read more

TLDR: a nice little Asian fusion joint. If we lived in the Lorton area we'd go back find time to time. Saturday afternoon, around 1 pm. Ladyfriend and i as is our want decide to grab lunch at someplace we'd not been to before. This was nearby. In a shopping plaza almost next door to a Giant. We sat outside - a few small tables on the covered walkway, facing the parking lot. Seemed clean. Service was prompt and friendly and repeatedly checked on us. Five stars for Marissa. We got a few appetizers and a soup, rather than entrees. More than enough for two; we had leftovers. Biiig bowl of Mung bean noodle soup. Decent flavor, not too salty, decent amount of fresh vegetables and noodles. At $7, a bargain. Pan fried pork dumplings, $8. Perfectly fine, nothing special. A little greasy but such things often are. A little overly doughy. Not bad but probably wouldn't order again. Turkey wontons in a ginger-y vinaigrette. $10. The ginger vinaigrette is nice, not overly strong. Perfectly decent. Stir-fried shishito peppers. Whole peppers, cooked. Not overly spicy, a mild heat. Big serving. $8. Total $41 with my Arnold Palmers. It's a 20-use minute drive from home. Would I go specifically for Fuse Box? Nah. But if in the area, would go again, try an entree or other appetizers. Overall the food is fine. I ordered the pineapple and jalapeño fried rice, the cauliflower rice with beef, and Pad Thai. Very similar flavors in the three diverse dishes. Everything taste about the same and there A LOT of egg in the rice dishes. The Pad Thai was terrible and it had jalapeños in it despite not being listed in the ingredients. We do most of our shopping at the Giant in this shopping center and noticed Fuze Box opening up where our former go-to Chinese was before they closed. Did a carry out order tonight of potstickers, duck rolls, scallop tempura, Lo mein, curry beef, scallop fried rice. The duck rolls were really nice. Great flavor and light. The scallop tempura was very tasty but we only had a few scallops so it wasn't enough to share. The fried rice with scallops, although the scallops were small, was very tasty. The potstickers were huge and very meaty but bland for my taste. The Lo mein was very pleasing all around. The curry beef was the star of the show with a large serving and good flavor. All in all we will go again adjusting our order accordingly with the duck rolls, Lo mein, fried rice and curry beef. Two big misses were a crazy small serving of rice that was in the to go bag that wasn't enough for even the curry beef and no sauces for the potstickers or anything else. A few containers of potsticker sauce or even other sauces would have been nice. We will be back. read more

This food at the restaurant is as advertised, a mix of American Chinese, Thai, and others. However none seem to be done very well well. My biggest complaint is the use of cooking oil. Every hot entree seems to be oozing in oil which dampens the flavor of the dish. Kung Pao tacos is a great concept and the presentation was wonderful. But I've been impressed by everything from the beer selection to the service to the quality and breadth of food. Good flavors, not oily, and they're willing to make everything on the menu vegetarian. After my third visit, I placed a full to-go order and my family was excited about everything I brought home, all at a surprisingly affordable price. Their food is always good and I have tried several dishes - frankly we think it's one of the best Asian restaurants in the area in terms of food and creativity. Group of three went in in January 2022. Could not have been nicer to us. Food was delicious, the owner was really nice. It was my birthday dinner from my family who had driven to Lorton all the way from Southern Maryland to see me and an elderly family member. Never will I eat here again. The manager is a little man with Napoleon complex. My date and I did not enjoy our food, and when we expressed this to him he began yelling at us and accusing us of trying to get free food from his restaurant as if we didn't have money. We barely touch our food, but he insisted that we were practically robbing him. Word of advice, don't open a restaurant if you can't handle constructive criticism. We left and spent our money at the Giants next door to make our own lunch. It was an insane experience to say the least, ironically we were the only people in the restaurant besides people coming in and out for takeout. Today was our third visit to Fuse Box. The ambiance, the food and the value is all pretty darned great. Unfortunately, the owner attitude wrt customer service is lacking. The owner is nearly the sole face the customer gets to interact with...when I ask for the beer and wine menu [remind me why I have to ask], I am quickly told to get back in my seat. When we finish our meal, which was 3 stars tasty, we wait for 20+ minutes whrn I notice the owner and two staff members are sequestered in the kitchen. We are the only dining customers. I get up to ask one of the staff members if they will/can allow us to settle the tab. The owner commands me to sit down while he finishes up what he's doing. I will not return; however, my second statement in this review is genuine. I eould like to see the restaurant succeed. It is up to the owner to temper his gruff behavior. read more

Ordered take out. Pro: nicely packed, quick Cons: the food! Fried calamari: salty, tasted old, limp (but I'm going to attribute that to the fact that it was take out). Crab Rangoon: good filling, crust is thick. I prefer the light crispy crusts. Pad Thai: decent, but nothing to really say about it Coconut shrimp: way too sweet! Is this a dessert? Crispy beef: decent but also too sweet (not as sweet as the coconut shrimp). I liked the texture and spice added. Fried rice with pineapple: def do not recommend. Minimal flavor. Very bland. Essentially, spent $80 plus for food that was really bad. The reviews for this placed were good, so I was confused. Brought the food for my sister's family and no one liked it either. read more

I love this place! Seemed like a hidden jewel. I had the calamari, shrimp and scallop fried rice and a lemon drop martini and was impressed with them all. Food was very fresh. I would definitely recommend and go back. The server was nice and answered all my questions regarding the various items on the menu. The restaurant was super clean, as well as the bathrooms. I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! We were some of the very first people to frequent it when it opened and we always will. They have DELICIOUS food and a wide array of craft cocktails and drinks. I am gluten-free (not by choice, but by endocrinologist requirement) and they have a ton of options for me there, which, mind you - taste as good as food with gluten. Trust me. Met a friend here for dinner and was quite pleasantly surprised! They have a ton of different items available on their menu ranging different types of Asian cuisines. We had the scallion pancakes and edamame as appetizers which were delicious. The waitress recommended the crispy beef, which I ordered, and loved it. It was also a very large portion, great deal for the price. Crab rangoon was a favorite for sure - they are fried perfectly and have a decent amount of filling in each! I began getting takeout from here when I moved home from college because it's the only place nearby that has Ma Po Tofu. I've only gotten the Ma Po Tofu but I love it! The tofu is nice and soft and it's the perfect amount of spice. Additionally it's a generous portion, good price, and tasty as well. read more
