    My condiments. ‍

This review is from a long time customer due to not many options in the area. This has always been pretty mediocre but they offer delivery in a 5 mile radius. I was in the shopping center that Dlite is in and wanted to stop in to grab an updated menu since I haven't ordered in a couple months. There is a few seats and a table or two but this is mostly a carry out place. Ordered a few times but be aware there prices are not what they are on the menu and they openly tell you that the menus is not updated. No bueno. Actually believe this could be a violation. Anyways. Ordered last couple times and was in the $45-$50 range all the time. Both times I ORDERED I asked for EXTRA SPICEY MUSTARD. Both times I was delivered 3 small packets which is enough for one person when you order for 4. Thanks. But they do offer more packets of whatever sauce you want for an additional charge! Never again. 50$ worth of food and I have to pay extra for any more than 3 packets of any sauce. Crazy. Maybe a little common sense like if I order one lunch special. This has happened on multiple occasions. Never again for mediocre food. Man I miss my NY Chinese food places.

Stopped in here for a late lunch on a Saturday after getting my nails done next door. Haven't found decent Chinese food in the area so I figured I'd give this place a try. Was happy to find lunch specials on a Saturday and tried the combination lo mein and General Tao's chicken. Came with soda or soup and an egg roll. The chicken was fantastic! Some of the best general Tsos I have had. Freshly made and flavorful. I also liked the fried rice. The egg roll was just ok and the wonton soup broth was salty and lacked Flavor. However with the main meals so good I will surely go back. Photo only of the combo platter because we gobbled up the general Tao's too fast!

    Missing fortune in my cookie

NOT SICHUAN FOOD. Is the food good? Yes. Is the food spicy? No. For American Chinese food, pretty good, more on the sweet side for sure. Fried rice is very good, I prefer it a bit salty but that's my personal preference. All in all the food is a bit more on the sweet side. Even the spicy wonton wasn't spicy, not even really salty. Nothing was bad about it so I was going to give 4/5 stars because the taste is personal preference but my fortune cookie didn't have a fortune... and they only gave me one... Which I truly think is the whole part of the Chinese food experience.

Just not good. The crispy honey chicken is swimming in so much sauce that it just isnt hardly worth eating. The chicken is in very large chunks and tough. The fork is so damn flimsy it won't even cut the chicken, they have no knives they can give you. Everything is of the very cheapest quality they can source. You can do so much better than this for $16.38 for one order of crispy honey chicken and a bottle of water. Go elsewhere, you will be glad you did.

I've been going to this spot for as long as I can remember. I've tried many dishes (but my favorite is definitely the chicken lo mein which is pictured). I'm always impressed with about how fast they complete the order. Additionally it always tastes fantastic and has become a comfort food for me

I've finally moved back here and after trying a few other Chinese restaurants, I can most definitely say, this is the best! Food is always fresh, workers are nice, and they're fairly quick with getting your food cooked. Don't let the location and small dine in area fool you, it's worth it!

I like the speed and accuracy of order completion, but the food did not taste that great. General Tso's Chicken had too much batter with very lttle chicken meat on some pieces. And, It was not crispy -- probably soggy because it was sealed in a plastic to-go container. And, the chicken lo mein was bland. Chicken corn soup was tasty with lots of chicken and egg ingredients. Small place with old furniture. I noticed the bottom legs of all the chairs were rusted.

But wait. My go-to spot suddenly closed, leaving me in a bit of a lurch! Where do I go?! We all have our favorite Chinese restaurant, and when we can't go to that one there's a little bit of a conundrum. I take American Chinese food seriously - which really means I order the same thing 98% of the time because that's my GO TO meal. As an intellectual, that is of course General Tso's chicken. Beijing Tokyo blends north and south Asia into a rather cozy, strip mall location. One person was talking obliviously on her cell phone, while the sushi Chef took orders. Until Yelp asked me if this place was romantic, I hadn't actually thought about it that way. But it is a little romantic. The tables are close together, the light is low, even if this place was full it would be... Cozy. A Chinese restaurant that's cozy is a very short leap to romantic. You can have a conversation here. I ordered my usual and waited about 10 minutes. The GTC was excellent. It had spice and flavor, but not too spicy. The fried rice was delicious. Good portion size and a good price. Two egg rolls and the total came to $25.25. No surprises, nothing out of the ordinary. If you had told me this had come from my favorite- now sadly closed - Chinese restaurant, I would have never known the difference. And there in lies what I think makes a good Chinese restaurant: predictability. American Chinese food is a distinct cuisine with the same menus, the same waving Buddah and melamine plates. The difference is quality, and the taste of your favorite meal. I am sad that my favorite place closed, but Beijing Tokyo is my new Chinese food restaurant, and I think it's pretty darn good.

One of the highlights of the night was meeting the owner, Jason. We bonded over our shared Cantonese backgrounds and even got to meet his aunt, who was visiting from California and happened to be sitting next to us. It made the whole experience feel incredibly welcoming and personal. We ordered the Dynamite Roll, which was a solid choice with 8 generous pieces, and the Szechuan spicy wontons, which were juicy with just the right amount of heat. If you visit, definitely grab a seat at the bar. The bartenders are friendly, engaging, and really add to the experience. We were treated to a complimentary shot of Jäger with Jason and even got to sample their Lychee Pearl cocktail because the bartender had made an extra. The cocktails really stood out. Instead of masking everything with sugary juices, they use extracts and creative techniques to build balanced drinks that complement the flavors beautifully. Jason also mentioned that their cocktail specials change every month, so we already told him we'll be back regularly to see what new creations he comes up with.

Our group of five sampled a great variety from the menu, including the Hot & Numbing Tofu Skin, Crab Roe Soup Dumplings, Cucumber Salad, Lettuce Wraps, Cumin Fish, Stir-Fried Beef Tenderloin, Crispy Pork Ribs with Scallion Crisps and Mixed Grain & Purple Rice, Stir-Fried Beef with Chilies, and Kung Pao Chicken with white rice. The standout for me was the cumin fish. It was fried perfectly--crispy without being greasy--and the cumin added great flavor without overpowering the dish. The crispy pork ribs lived up to their name and had a nice kick of spice. The cucumber salad packed a serious garlic punch, which I really enjoyed. The Hot & Numbing Tofu Skin was something completely different from what I expected. It's sliced into long ribbons that resemble noodles or pasta. The flavor was excellent, although the texture took some getting used to. The only dish that fell a little short was the stir-fried beef tenderloin, which could have used a bit more seasoning. Everything else was delicious. The portions are enormous. At first the prices seemed a little high, but once the food arrived it made perfect sense. Every entrée was easily enough for two meals. One thing to keep in mind is that rice is ordered separately and isn't included with the entrées. Service was excellent throughout our meal. We arrived for lunch and didn't realize they close between lunch and dinner (lunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.). We ended up staying until about 2:45, and the staff never made us feel rushed even though they had technically closed. They greeted us promptly, took our drink orders, and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu without hovering. The restaurant is tucked away on the ground floor of an office building, so it's easy to drive right past if you aren't looking for it. Parking was plentiful, and the oversized booths comfortably fit all five of us without feeling cramped. If you're dining with a group and want to sample a variety of authentic dishes, Mama Chang is definitely worth the visit.
