Absolutely my favorite spot to grab sushi! I have very rarely needed to wait for a table. The sushi may take a little while to come out if there are a good number of people there, but that's because they take their time putting it together and it is well worth it. This place is always good service for me, I love their egg drop soup and their general gaou's ckn...YUMMY!! Very very very clean and the service is great, never once had to wait to be seated and the place gets pretty busy. Of the pan-asian places in Arlington center, this is our favorite. The sushi is dependably good, (but not outstandaing) and the Chinese dishes are a cut above the usual Chinese joint. The only caveat on the sushi is to be careful with the more elaborate rolls. Many of them are deep fried, and it's hard to tell from the menu which are and aren't dunked in the fryer. The atmosphere is nice and casual. The place is usually quiet enough for casual conversation. The Jazz nights can provide a nice distraction. Their lunches are a pretty good value, especially the bento boxes. read more

Fusion Taste is in the same location that Mifune occupied. I use to order sushi from them all the time. It's a new owner but a lot of the same staff and sushi chef. We stopped in the first week they opened and the sushi was awesome, very fresh. The sushi and maki pieces are very large and put together perfectly. One of the best options for Sushi in Arlington IMO. Check it out, it's very good. I had a few Chinese dishes when we ordered delivery and they were good. This is not the place for you if you are looking for more authentic Chinese food. The place definitely caters to non-Asians because I was the only Asian there (more evidence to follow). The food also came out in big chunks which required the use of a fork and a knife. Authentic Asian restauranst would serve the food in bite sizes so that you can use the chopsticks. Did I mention that the food also tasted bland? They also charged for rice which in my opinion should be complementary to the entree dish you order. My husband asked for green tea which ended up being free but the waitress never offered it when we initially ordered our drinks or mention that it was complementary. Third time there in as many months. And, it has now become my new favorite neighborhood place to go particularly when it's a spur of the moment, group of friends, deciding to get together for dinner and no one is sure what they want or where to go. I've suggested it a number of times under the foregoing circumstances...and all friends have enjoyed it and were glad they went. Nice combination of options for folks...good sharing opportunities. Not fancy, but very comfortable for talking, being together and relaxing with friends. Start with a little sushi combo for everyone (the combo B is great for about 4 people) to enjoy while chatting and discussing what else to order. And, last night, I ordered the lemon chicken which was fab. I had "a to die for" lemon chicken in Hong Kong years ago and have been trying to find one as good ever since. The lemon chicken at Fusion Taste came closer (and really as close as I've expected after trying 'lo these many years) than any other I've tried in Boston or thereabouts. GREAT! The search is over! Good Food, Good Drinks, Good Service We have had their takeout several times and it was delicious and always ready in the time frame they gave us. Their crab ragoon is the BEST I've every had and friends and family agree it deserves an A+ The sushi bar is quite good and drinks surprisingly good since I didn't except it from an Arlington local restaurant. I've been ordering here for years, and I'm disappointed to say the quality of the food has deteriorated over time. I noticed that weekend orders had significantly lower quality than weekday orders, so I adjusted my strategy accordingly. However, now it seems that this strategy is insufficient as my last order (during the week) was so poor that I ended-up throwing-out the maki after one bite. Sorry Fusion Taste, you've disappointed my for the last time; I'm taking my business elsewhere. Update: I've given Fusion Taste another chance and was not disappointed. Good and flavorful Chinese and Japanese dishes. My boyfriend and I especially love this place for the drinks - the Scorpion Bowls are delicious and very strong! There is a small bar that is usually quite full and seems to have a crowd of townie regulars which gives it a nice local feel. read more

We went the other night just for something different... Since we weren't really agreeing on where to eat; fusion seemed like a good idea. It wasn't. The start of the meal was the vegetable tempura; which had a lot of sweet potatos in it (which I love) but the tempura coating was just extremly oily... You could see the pool on the bottom of the dish... Our entrees weren't bad; but they weren't good either. If the menu describes it as tender; it shouldn't be chewy... :( The food was also rather bland, especially considering we order things listed as 'spicy'. read more

Never have I had such flavorless pad thai. I don't know if the peanut sauce is supposed to be missing or what, but the noodles are like it's just been boiled. It's just endless plain white noodles. The crab ragoons were okay, but it was just too greasy and heavy for me. read more

A friend suggested this place for lunch, let me tell you how we were greeted. First the gum chewing hostess/waitress looked annoyed with our presence. The placed was empty but I guess they forgot to VACUUM before opening for business. The vacuum was on nearly the whole time. We could hardly have a conversation and the hostess/waitress actually vacuumed under our table. Who vacuums in a restaurant while there are patrons in it? She also took our order like she was doing us a favor. The only time she smiled is when she dropped off the check. I would not have given her a tip but my friends were more gracious. I went the week before Christmas. The food was nothing special. The scallion pancakes were over cooked. The hot and sour soup was yummy. There are many other places similar within walking distance. I felt bad for the waitress. There was one waitress for the entire restaurant. The hostess was busy texting on her phone instead of trying to help the one waitress out. The bar tender, which was the owner was busy bar tending and tried to help the waitress out when he could. Once they fix the staffing issue I would definitely return. This review is from last Monday. I should have known when the delivery man asked me to come downstairs rather than deliver to my apartment.. The wontons were doughy, the lo mein had hardly any meat or vegetables and I had to throw out the cashew chicken. Let's be fair maybe they just used the weekends leftovers. The crispy aromatic scallops are amazing. I haven't tried the sushi, but everything I have tried has been good. Solid Chinese American that is fresh and flavorful. I wasn't impressed with our service. I could barely hear our waitress. She whispered and was inaudible most of the time. At first it took us awhile to decide on our meals - the menu is rather large - so maybe that put us in an annoying customer category, I'm not sure, but for the rest of the night we didn't receive much attention. We also noticed that there wasn't much consistency with the dishes. For instance, a table near us received some salad (carribean shrimp I think?) that looked good and inspired my friend to order the same. Except when hers came out it had maybe a third of the shrimp that the other table received. We also ordered two of the same desserts at our table and even they came out looking different. One of our friends asked for a side of brown rice with his entree and that didn't appear until he was 75% done with his meal and even then it was just because he reminded our waitress. Plus, my friend noticed that quite a few tables ordered what looked like fried ice cream for dessert but we didn't see that on the menus we were given and the waitress didn't offer it to us as an option. As for the food, it was just ok. My husband ordered a tuna dish with mushroom sauce that I wasn't that into, but he finished. My dinner was very bland. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Overall a very uninspiring visit, but at least we had a good time hanging out with our friends. read more

This place has great lunch prices, the food isn't overly greasy or make you feel disgusting and 3 pant sizes bigger after you eat it. For what it is it is the best in Arlington by far. As for the negative reviews for this place...listen fatty all take out sometimes ends up taking a long time for one reason or another...think of it as you losing weight for an extra 15 minutes, and I don't think any restaurant can say they haven't forgotten to put something in an order...get over it. We're all human and it's all about the food in the end and the food here is great. read more

Food was fantastic, not greasy, full of flavour & despite such a huge order at this late hour - it was out pretty darn quick without quality being sacraficed!! This place is hidden in Arlington Center..and I will definately swing by again....I miss it by one star..due to 2 reasons...atmosphere..extremely bright lighting which I hate..I mean Im here to eat & not buy jewelry..so plzzzz shut down those bright ass hallogen spot lights...umm 2nd waitstaff could use a lil finesse if ya know what I mean...!! The place is nice, selection is pretty big, it makes a pretty decent date place but is also a nice place to just hang out with friends. I really liked their mango chicken. I've only been a couple of times, but everything was pretty solid and so was the service. I wouldn't bother with the sushi, but I'm picky about sushi. Went here on a dinner date with the fiance and I was impressed. He had never eaten sushi before and I'm skeptical of trying new places (some places just don't serve good, fresh sushi). We got the Crazy Maki sushi, which I highly recommend for anyone, and he liked it too! The crab rangoon was also great. It had big, visible chucks of fresh crabmeat. I could tell by the fresh taste that it wasn't that canned, imitation crabmeat most places use. And it had a lot of crabmeat so I wasn't getting skimped like in other places where they use mostly cream cheese and barely any crab...The pork lo mein was good too, well sized so we shared it. We were so stuffed, we took some home. And our waitress, Fiona, was a cutie and was very helpful and patient. Overall, a good place. We'll be returning. read more

We came here with a Groupon to try it out. Sushi was very good, solidly made with a good variety of choices. The Chinese dishes were freshly prepared and came out quickly. Flavors/sauces were distinct with each dish. If you want truly authentic, still probably better to go to more specialized restaurants, but Fusion Taste offers a good mix of options done well. 5 of us visited on Saturday, Jan. 6, and arrived at 11:35 AM - (restaurant opens at 11:30 AM). Waitress could have cared less we were there. She literally threw down a paper placemat and cutlery on the table. (We were so astounded at this, we laughed out loud!). Next a wait for her to take the order. This took a while. Order finally taken - no smile at all. We were obviously a bother. Now out comes the vacuum cleaner - very loud and clear. We couldn't hear ourselves speak! I went over to her and motioned for her to stop. She said she had to do this! I said why don't you vacuum before the restaurant opens? No luck - she kept on loudly vacuuming. Now our food finally starts to arrive - one diner at a time. We ordered tea - "tea not ready yet". Soup came with one meal - "soup not ready". Ok, I heard rave reviews of this place from a few friends, and decided to get take out one night, I got spring rolls, pork fried rice and basil chicken, aside from the spring rolls it was really not all that good. I'm not one to usually throw out leftovers but I did in this case. The rice just didn't taste right and the basil chicken had absolutely no flavor to it.
