I wanted to go to Rooster And The Pig nearby but couldn't since the waitlist was four pages deep and the wait was over three hours, so I stopped by Fuzion Five instead. I ordered the chicken curry noodles off their specialty menu and really enjoyed the red curry dish. Each bite was packed full of flavor and made me want to go in for another spoon: it was a good balance of sweet, sour, and heat. I loved how much lemongrass flavor was developed in the broth. Literally the best Pho broth we have ever tasted! The complexity and depth of flavor was divine. House made chili sauce finished it off with the sweetness of dried onion and then the perfect punch of spice at the back of the throat. Service was sassy and delightful - just what you want from a Palm Springs night out! I wanted to try this place out for some time now, so today was the day to satisfy my curiosity. This is a cute little Vietnamese and Laotian cuisine in downtown Palm Springs kinda at the end on the shops and restaurants on Palm Canyon Dr. There is a pretty large enclose patio in the front with huge umbrellas, they also have heating lamps. I was greeted with a warm welcoming smile from Isabella who was so very attentive and helpful to needs,she seated me a took my order i started off on this hot day with Vietnamese Iced coffee, egg rolls, chicken curry noodles and the coconut purple rice with fried banana, everything was delicious. Excellent! Great tasting Laotian cuisine. I was able to speak to the owner in Lao/Thai and she said her husband is the cook. And they definitely made sure to prepare our dishes as authentic as possible and we weren't disappointed. The Khao Poon (Curry Rice Noodles) was my favorite. My husband and I needed a bahn mi fix on vacation and thought this would be a great spot for that. We came in right after they opened and were the first table although that quickly changed. I went for the tofu bahn mi with a side of sweet potato fries. Both were good but man will I be thinking about those fries for a long time. So crunchy and yet soft on the inside. The perfect sweet potato fry. The hubs went with a chicken bahn mi and a side salad and the chicken was also packed with flavor. Our server was so friendly and we talked about her kids and how she and her family manage the heat in the middle of the summer. My girlfriends and I desperately needed pho to cure our New Years Eve hangover and we were pleasantly surprised to find this phó place in Palm Springs! It was really busy at noon, so we sat at the bar. We ordered the papaya and beef jerky salad and edamame as appetizers, and we each got beef Phó as our main. The papaya salad came highly recommended by our waiter and it was indeed delicious! They nailed the flavors with just the right amount of spice and fish sauce - however the beef jerky was not shredded, as it's traditionally served. A bit too tough to eat in my opinion. The phó here was okay - broth was great, just wish there was more meat and less noodles. The sides (bean sprouts, basil, and lime) was super fresh though. Completely ruined our dinner. I ordered Pad See Ew with Beef, a new menu item they were promoting. First, they got my order wrong and brought the chicken, which is totally understandable; mistakes happen. Then, they brought a new dish very fast, and I was very appreciative. But soon, I found out why it came out so fast. The meat was completely undercooked, there were no spices and seasonings, and the noodles were cold as if they had just come out from the refrigerator. I brought this up to the server, and he said, "Do you want me to bring a chef to you?" I was like, "What do you want me to do with chef?" I was not even confrontational or upset, but disappointed. So, I took care of the check and left immediately. I am not a Palm Springs resident, but I am certain that I won't eat here anymore. read more

This place sucks. Mostly because Paul the server is kind of a miserable person and he sucks the happiness out of the air around him. Also it sucks because it smells bad. Literally smells bad. The cloths they bring to wipe your table down reeks. There was dog poop on the floor by us (after Paul gave us shit for wiping it down and told us it was Vietnamese sausage, it stopped smelling like poop). The food is really sweet. Good, but sweet. A medium here is an extra mild anywhere else. I think it's because of the sweetness?! The pad Thai was good. The fried rice was fine, boring, but fine. The lettuce wrap was gross. Inedibly sweet sauce. The noodle curry was actually really good and flavorful and packed a touch of heat. The boba was more of an ice cream. First I have to say I've always loved this place the three times prior the food was fresh tasty and made me crave it. I took friends have you ever been there after my raving pad? Thai was made with overcooked teeny noodles with shrimp that was overcooked to the point of rubber. The laab chicken which I love everywhere very lackluster dry chicken is very sad. This is a cool place in downtown Palm Springs and we were lucky enough to be able to sit outside on the sidewalk and enjoy the beautiful Palm Springs weather. I had bun xeo and kha poon. To me they were both OK at best. The bun xeo Tasted fine although I did notice that it was a smaller portion than what I am used to seeing when I eat from Little Saigon area restaurants. The kha poon tasted fine as well. One of my favorite ex-wives is Laotian and I have had a bunch of times and the one here is fine. I just wish there was a little bit more broth in the soup. It was nice that there is plenty of noodles and chicken. I doubt I will ever come here again but I am glad I was able to satisfy my curiosity and checked it out. The service was good and quick. From the moment the bathroom stench greets you to the moment they give you the bill- this place did nothing but disappoint. Bo kno was watery and not flavored right. Served with a white roll that needs to be properly cooked. The drunken noodles were made with what looked and tasted like instant noodle! TF?! My daughter's chicken pho was watery and had sticky noodles. She was super upset as she was hangry and I tried to get the waitresses attention to get some salt and pepper and the lady saw me raise my hand twice and said she'll be right there but wasn't- she later sent another person over. The chicken wing appetizer had zero flavors and needed dipping sauce which was too weird tasting for my kids. Then I ordered rice in place of my not cooked Bo kho roll and it was hard total came out to over $100 with tax and tip. (Family of 4 with gross food) I wouldn't pay 1/3 of that. I should have left when the toilet smell hit me when we entered the place. Next time, if a place smells like toilets- listen to your nose and don't do it. The restaurant was really cute decorated and their servers are always attentive. Ordered the pho with ribeye slices and meatballs. The noodle was a a bit chewy for my taste. Sooo close to being on my short list. Very friendly and good variety on their menu. We came to enjoy the patio, but it was closed due to rain so we placed our orders at the counter and waited. They estimated 24-35 minutes, but it was ready sooner. Definitely call ahead and do pickup to make it easy. They have a few loading spots in front so you can pull right up. We ordered Vietnamese selections and our friends ordered from the Thai and Laotian choices. Everything was impressive looking and all the right condiments were included. The bo kho beef stew was pretty oily, but the meat was very tender and the fresh onions were a nice touch. The baguette for dipping was pre-cut and toasted, but got soggy in the styrofoam. The pho deluxe had ALL the right meats and I absolutely love that they didn't skimp on the offal. Same greatness in giving the thin sliced beef raw which is traditional. Unfortunately, the broth did not taste at all like pho. The unique star anise, cinnamon, roasted aromatics were missing. Hard to place, but it was like basic beef broth. The star of our order was the fresh rolls. Huge, stuffed with good cuts of meat and veggies and oh so tasty. We will get these again. Our friends food was tasty if slightly different than expected based on the descriptions, eg drunken noodles with ramen style pasta that tasted more like Singapore noodles. I can confidently say this is one of the best places to find Vietnamese food. The service and attention they give their customers is the best I've experienced in Palm Springs and i've lived here my whole life. I wish I could name the employees by their name but we've been here multiple times and everyone gives it their all. The food itself was amazing, no complaints or adjustments whatsoever. I highly suggest their Pad Thai, Egg Rolls, Thai Tea with or without boba, and my husband loved the Bo Kho.
