Fuzion Five offers up excellent Thai-Lao cuisine right in the heart of of Palm Spring's busy Palm Canyon Drive. We came here for lunch after seeing the crowds coming here the other day. We had a disappointing dinner at 533 Viet Fusion the other day, so we were hankering for some better options for Asian food. The Grilled Salmon was cooked perfectly - soft, juicy, and the garlic ponzu sauce was light and subtle. Lots of places tend to overcook salmon or overwhelm it either sauce. Fuzion's version kept everything well balanced. Our 3yo son ate nearly half of the filet. (5 stars) Thr Khua Mee noodle dish with chicken was the other 5-star dish. Loaded with mushrooms, stir-fried egg noodles, and juicy, flavorful chicken. (5 stars) The Basil Chicken over rice was also solid, and we got it non-spicy to play it safe. Like the other two dishes I loved how they used just enough sauce with ample side of veggies to accompany the chicken (4 stars). Definitely one of our better experiences with Asian food in Palm Springs. 5 stars. read more

Hit Fuzion Five after showing up too early for VillageFest. We were hungry and a party of four. It was crowded, but we were seated right away. The restaurant seemed short-staffed. A person was working the bar and another was covering (seemingly) all the tables. There was a constant flow of people coming in to pick up take out. Some of them customers, some of them probably Door Dashers. There was someone coming out of the kitchen (a cook?) dropping food at tables. The food took a while to arrive, as you might imagine. When it did arrive, it was very good. I would love to go again when they aren't so busy and see if service is better. Our server was very nice but just stretched too thin. read more

Cute little restaurant in downtown Palm Springs. PHO seems to be hard to find in PS so it was nice to find a place downtown. We went for lunch on a Thursday and got right in. We were greeted by a friendly host and the service was good and attentive. Here's what we had: Chicken lettuce wraps- Small wraps but nice flavor. 3 of 5 stars Chicken pad Thai- The dish was tasty, we asked for medium heat but there were some super hot peppers in there. Overall the flavor was good but not sure how I felt about the thin noodles. 3.5 of 5 stars. Brisket Pho- Good broth, not a lot of brisket. Over pretty good but I've had better. 3 of 5 stars. Exquisite food, beautiful decor and attentive, kind service. What more can you want? The iced tea is jasmine, imported from Vietnam. Delicious. We ordered the golden triangle and the Phad Thai. The golden triangle had great presentation and was a feast for the eyes as well as the mouth. Also, being open on a Monday is helpful. A lot of restaurants here seem to be closed Mondays. The hey even have a great happy hour. I haven't tried the pho yet, but will as soon as the temps drop a bit. They've got nice luncheon specials and a full bar. We were craving pho after a long hike nearby so we decided to drop by this place. We were happily greeted and seated by the host/server. After looking over the menu, we decided on a Laos curry noodle dish, pho dac biet with all the meats, and the golden triangle, a ceviche type dish with lao flavors. It's more of an appetizer though where you wrap veggies around the lime cured raw fish. The curry noodle and golden triangle came out first which was odd. I ended up sharing the appetizer and finishing my noodles while my partner's pho was no where in sight. At that point, I tried to flag down the server but they were all in the back. By the time, our original server came back, I told her that we had been waiting for his pho and she just told us that she would check on it. Turns out there was some mistake and that's why he didn't receive it. No apology at the moment. One came later at the end of service, which was a little late. Anyway, the pho was pretty laughable. It came out warm not hot and the flavor was a bit odd. The worst part was there were like 4 pieces of meat including two hard meatballs. I've never paid $20 for a small dac biet bowl of pho in my life. The size was ridiculous for the price. The curry noodles tasted fine so it seems like they specialize in that cuisine more. The golden Triangle was not worth $23 as it was literally an appetizer. This place was convenient and on the main road but I wouldn't come back. The service and food were disappointing. read more

Went to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and came down when it was dark, went to this spot in nearby downtown Palm Springs that's open until after 9pm. Our family ordered pho and bún thịt nướng, broth was excellent. Hard rice. Horrible service. We told the server what was wrong with the food and he told the manager. When we tried to tell the manager he did not apologize or compensate some of the bill. Sir, this was not sticky rice! Drunken noodles does not even use the correct type of noodles. Very greasy and uses Ramen noodle noodles. What kind of drunken noodles is this? more vegetables and meat than noodles. Chicken curry noodles had no curry. It tasted like Tom Yum soup instead. Tasted like freezer chicken. The potstickers were from Costco. Sticky rice was hard as a rock and seemed like steam rice couldn't even form a ball. Jerky was hard that was served along with papaya salad. Mango Boba smoothie was artificial and tasted disgusting along with the Boba inside. All of these plates cost $20 plus and were tiny portion size with more lettuce than the main meal (i.e. larb and papaya salad). Please skip this restaurant!!! Came in on a Saturday night around 5:30-6:00 pm and it wasn't busy. Took almost 10 minutes to be seated and then once seated, there was no acknowledgement for well over 15! I just sat there watching maybe 1 server walk around and someone else who looked like he could've been the Manager. My mom, aunt and I were looking for somewhere to go for Thanksgiving dinner after a long day of traveling. We stumbled upon this place and I'm glad we did. I looooooove this place! I usually order from door dash but occasionally stop in. The Chicken Curry Noodles are my absolute fav. It's bright and has loads of flavor. I always go with that or (sometimes and lol) the Brisket Pho. The Pho is top notch! Tasty pho, but the chicken was tough and overcooked. The Veggies were fresh and well cooked. Spring Roll was packed with shrimp and veggies, but the rice paper wrapper was rubbery. I always love being able to take a stroll and find a great new restaurant! They advertise themselves as a Vietnamese and Loa restaurant, but they also serve Thai as well in this fusion explosion of goodness. I had the stir-fried basil with chicken, broccoli, corn, mushrooms and rice. It was a perfect and delicious meal that kept me warm on a chillier day. The service was also quick and efficient and they were even kind enough to bring us hot water and tea pot without even asking. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, but considering the bustling nature of Palm Springs downtown, I recommend sitting outside and people watching. It's easily findable right on the corner of Palm Canyon Drive and Bristol Road. Bad service, long wait time, small portions, Forced to pay their tip amount! Came here yesterday for lunch. Something happened with guests at another table that caused the staff to get in a sour mood. It took us a good while to be able to place our order. I had to flag down a server and let him know we were ready to order. The server was in a bad mood because of the above and was very impatient when taking our order. The main dishes were small portioned and the spoons they gave us were dirty (dusty with fibers on them) I understood why the server was in a bad mood but didn't appreciate the lack of professionalism. We came here after the fair. We had greasy food and wanted something lighter. I thought it was really tasty for the most part. The bbq fresh rolls were so light and packed with a delicious vegetable. The fried rice was bland. The pad kee mow had excellent flavor. I was expecting the thick flat noodles but it was so flavorful I didn't mind. I really just wouldn't get the fried rice again. The server was nice. I think they might be understaffed. He checked us on once and we had already finished our food. I saw he was working the bar too. Again nice but for a full house he didn't have much help. There was another younger man who brought out food. He wasn't welcoming and when I asked for chili flakes he said they didn't have anything of the sort. Then I asked about chili oil he said oh yeah and then brought an empty jar. Server great but overwhelmed. Food runner needs a little more training. The plates as in dishes looked very beautiful. I loved the blue. The bathroom was a mess. This was the cleaner one of the two. It didn't feel dirty or run down just looked like someone needed to do a little check in. Chicken pho was good (it'll satisfy your pho craving) - it's legit pho but of course not the best pho I've ever had. Beef jerky wasn't best I've ever had either but does the job. Same for the papaya salad. I eat real SEA papaya salad so all these americanized papaya salads served at SEA restaurants esp in LA/socal never impress me. Mai thai tea was doable. Like the concept more than the actual drink. Service was great! Ambiance is great! They close from 2-5pm like most other restaurants in the area. A surprise find on this side of town. Rather it be here than not. But not my favorite SEA restaurant I've ever had. Not bad though. Maybe for less authentic pallettes, you'll enjoy this place more. read more

We ate there mid-week at 2:00 PM when i wasn't full. I had ordered the Pho and my dining partner ordered the spring rolls. The Pho was mediocre. The spring rolls were very good. The issue was that the service was extremely slow. I don't know if all of Palm Springs has cut back on wait staff because tourists are not coming, but I also encountered the slow service at a major restaurant that evening.
