This is a neighborhood restaurant for us & we tried it for the first time on a Friday night. Pros: we were sat straight away, seating was comfortable, Caleb's service was attentive, food came out really fast. Cons: it's not really the type of Mexican food I like. It's more like a tex Mexican take on Mexican food, like a Chuys or Torchy type of food, which isn't my favorite. But there wasn't anything inherently wrong with the food. This is a new spot that we passed by. I was craving tacos and went here. The place is huge and enough seating area. The host checked us in and got us a nice table. The server was quick and kind. She took our order of fish and pulled pork tacos and some nachos with guacamole. I really enjoyed the chips they were thin and crispy nothing like I have had before. I have tried a lot of famous place in NYC and this is really good comparison to many. I was concerned about my fish tacos but it was delicious and clean. I did order mango drink and I think they forgot which wasn't a big deal so we cancelled. Overall I did love the food and service and would definitely go back. My husband and I were in town for a funeral and decided to grab a late lunch. When we lived in CO we ate at Fuzzy's about twice a week but moved out of state. We knew Fuzzy's started out in Texas so checked for one nearby our hotel. This Kingwood location is so pretty with mature trees, a large indoor restaurant as well as plenty of outdoor seating weather permitting. We ate indoors with Josiah at table 15 on 6/6. We had the original shredded beef tacos on corn tortillas, black and refried beans for our sides. Johnny had a beer and I enjoyed the Josh Chardonnay. Great prices on both food and alcohol. The tacos were full of very tasty meat, a garlic aoili, lettuce and pico. We added a combo of their habanero sauce with the butt burning sauce and omg soooooo good. The restaurant was clean as were the bathrooms. Service and the food was excellent. So good in fact we came back in the evening and sat outside as it was a mild summer day with a great breeze. Maui gave us extraordinary service as did Tobias the next morning for breakfast. Ignore the iffy reviews, our experience all three visits was fantastic. One thing to note, this location is full table service. At other locations you order from the counter, get a pager type device that buzzes when your order Is up and you go pick it up. They also offered much better wine choices than any other Fuzzy's we have been to and we have eaten at Fuzzy's in FL (Altamonte Springs and Colonial Drive) which sadly both locations have closed and in CO (Denver, CO Springs, Fort Collins etc) so truly the best experience. This place is HOT & humid inside. On a 90° day during Memorial Day weekend, we would have been cooler sitting outside than inside. My husband was sweating profusely, which only added to how bad the rest of the time there was. Food is subpar TexMex. I would rather go to Torchy's. Our server Maui was fabulous. He seemed to be the only bartender/waiter in the restaurant. Every other worker was doing menial tasks. Once the place started filling up, Maui was overwhelmed with customers and had no help, which led to us sitting in this hot restaurant for even longer than we would have preferred. Food lacked flavor and spice. The garlic aioli and feta cheese on several of the menu items are strange choices for TexMex cuisine, in my opinion. This old Fuddruckers location has been reborn as the return of the venerable Fuzzy's chain to the north Houston area. Spacious modern look with a large bar area, some outdoor seating, and plenty of indoor tables and booths. Unlike any other Fuzzy's I have visited, this one has table service, and the staff was great. On the Thursday night we were there they had a DJ spinning some great tunes and the place was jumping. This location features the usual Fuzzy's menu of tacos, quesadillas, nachos, burritos and salads. Not as wide a variety of proteins as one might find at a Mexican taco truck or restaurant, but your basic steak, ground beef, chicken, carnitas and shrimp. Tacos were a good size, came quickly and were fresh and tasty. Half a dozen or so beers on tap, plus cans, and a full bar. We have missed our old Fuzzy's on Kuykendahl and while this location is not as convenient, it beats hauling ourselves down to Sugarland. Hopefully this is a resurgence of Fuzzy's in the area after so many locations closed. 1 read more

Fuzzy's just opened in the old location of fuddruckers in kingwood. Inside looks great. Plenty of bar seating and tables. Bunch of TVs around playing sports games. Service was a bit slow but they just opened so I won't fault them for that. To start we had the chips and queso. I really like the thin chips and it has some type of seasoning on it. To drink I had the watermelon margarita. Delish! Tacos were yum. I ordered two but filled up on the chips and queso so I only ate one and took the other one home. But the one I ate was delicious. The meat had a great flavor. I'm sure in a week or two they will be up and running no problem. I'll Deff be back again. read more

We went on opening night, so definitely will give grace. Margarita was delicious, but the tacos and chips and salsa not so much. I ordered fried fish on a corn tortilla and was served grilled fish on a flour tortilla. I didn't press the issue because they were so busy. I'll try again next time. Not really sure what they are trying to project. We had 1 fish taco, 1 shrimp taco and 1 Texas brisket taco with a side order of refried beans and cilantro rice. . The fish in the taco was hard, not sure if it was overcooked or still a little raw. The shrimp taco was just ok. The brisket in the Texas brisket taco didn't taste like any brisket I've ever eaten. It tasted more like a poor roast and both the fish and brisket were really tasteless. The beans were ok but the rice was tasteless. I ordered a draft Shiner and it was pretty much flat when it reached my table. I understand the startup problems but when the food isn't any good it's not worth the money. I'm not a huge fan of Torchy's but at least the tacos there have good flavor. There's just too many good Mexican restaurants around to spend money at this place. read more

I ordered the 12.50 margarita and it was watered down, I'm convinced there was no tequila in it, so that was lame. The chile relleno in the relleno taco was still raw and crunchy, is it supposed to be that way? Not sure because it was battered and fried. The burrito had loose cold shredded cheese on the inside and tortilla was cold. It would have been so much better if it was grilled. Perhaps it's growing pains, we will be back later down the road. Day #3 for Fuzzys and I made in time for a quick drink before closing. The transformation on the inside looks great . Nice bar and table service throughout the restaurant. I went alone because my wife just had back surgery and I was trying to find us something to eat,I went there 4 or 5 times before so I thought it would not be a problem, boy I was Wong , I didn't get my drink until 30 minutes,then I ordered a regular taco,20 more minutes and I asked the bar tender when I would get my taco and she walked into the back and came out and told me it would be another 5-10 minutes . I told her to never mind that I didn't want it any more,because the only other person at the bar was this lady who came in after me had all her food,drinks and I was like I didn't even have a drink of what I just ordered so I told her that I was not going to pay for that either and I want your managers phone number,and then out of nowhere this guy stands up and said Iam her manager, I am sorry but if he was there the whole time why didn't he get up Earlier to help out, I am sorry I was pissed off and the first thing I said was what the fuck , I wasn't going to cuss anymore but he told me to leave the restaurant , I understand and I'm sorry for saying that,but you're customers service needs a lot of help,he was sitting there with a drinking girl who was off but dose work there , I will never go there again and it's sad because I used to like it there,well best of luck to you all,better educated managers read more

We went for the first time on Sunday for dinner. There were six of us, and since the restaurant was pretty empty, we were seated quickly. I shared the Honcho Nachos with my niece -- the portion was huge, but there was so much queso that the chips were completely soggy and basically inedible. When the waitress asked if we wanted to take it home, I told her no because the queso made everything mushy. She even admitted, "Oh yeah, I noticed they put a lot of queso on yours. I'm sorry about that." Not a great first impression. The second issue was the service. I asked for a water refill and a to‑go container. Instead, she refilled my lemonade and brought two tiny containers. My husband ordered the steak quesadilla, took one bite, and said the steak was so tough it was hard to chew. He planned to take it home, but because the containers were so small, he had to squeeze it in. The food tasted like low‑quality, warmed‑up food. We sat at the bar and the bartender was a wreck and didn't mind letting everyone know she was overwhelmed. The only way we got waited on was hollering at a girl behind the bar as she was walking by. I came into fuzzys a few days ago for a quick lunch, but after the bartender Sarah told me that happy hour was in less than 30 minutes, I decided to stick it out and see what she was talking about! In total I was able to get a margarita, chips and queso, and two tacos all for under $20!! This place is amazing and the service is even better! Our bartender was super attentive and always had a smile on her face. She gave me a warm welcome as soon as I sat down! I am a big fan of their food and the service is even better. Day we went, we stood there about 25 minutes to even have someone take us to a table, fine, newly opened. Then, husband was brought a sweet tea, ordered unsweet. We sat there for long time and no one came back. Only thing we seen people rec.'ing was drinks and two table who were fixing to leave got chips delivered. Not once did we see any actual food come out of kitchen. We decided to leave so went and found someone to pay for a glass of sweet tea. Poor Host, he looked for someone to ring up our tea and finally he said, no charge since you did not t drink it. We have not gone back for we are willing to wait to try, if we do. You're sat down and asked your order & drinks but later on nobody offered us our refills for nearly 15+ minutes and I noticed they had a drink station so I asked one person and they mentioned we could get our own refills?? I think they'd do better if they stuck to being waited on or just make it clear it's a self service style. Staff and service were great! Restaurant was clean! But I am not impressed at all with the food. There was zero flavor. It reminds me more of an upscale Taco Bell than anything. If I wanted similar style tacos and queso with a much better flavor and same price, I would head to Torchy's right down the road. I had the birria tacos and my husband got a variety of tacos...he tried a shrimp taco, a fish taco, and steak taco. We also tried the trio of dips. Everything was lacking flavor and the meat in my birria tacos tasted like very low quality beef... like fast food. The house hot sauce was eerily similar to Taco Bell mild and hot sauce. Just overall very disappointing. Since this is a chain, I assume it's just the recipes, and not the staff. We went early afternoon on Sunday with a group of ten, the host did not greet us (he blankly said something like how many in your group, no smile) and seemed to not be too thrilled that we had 10 in our group. We did not have the heart to tell them because there was nothing they could have done to improve the quality of the ingredients they are using. If you want quality Mexican food ingredients and need to stay in Kingwood, I would recommend Chachi's, Torchy's or Kingwood Meat Market. Great transformation of the location, great atmosphere, great service. Food was just ok. Unsure why a restaurant that features tacos uses flour tortillas similar to Mission tortillas, makes no sense. This place just becomes another restaurant bar with bar food. Already have plenty of those in the area (Parry's, Brass Tap). Fuzzy's should upgrade the flavor by just going across the street and getting the H-E-B tortillas. read more
