I had a frustrating experience at this location. My husband accidentally forgot his wallet , so I ordered a beer for myself and showed my valid ID. Before I could even pay, the manager told me that if I handed the beer to my husband, they would confiscate it because he didn't have his ID. I completely understand refusing to sell alcohol to someone who cannot present identification, and I respect the need to follow policies and protect your liquor license. What I did not appreciate was how the situation was handled. My husband is clearly in his mid-40s and instead of explaining that this was simply the restaurant's policy, it was presented as though we were doing something illegal. A calm, respectful explanation would have gone a long way. Instead, the interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational and dismissive. At that point, my family of 4 chose to leave without ordering. I hope this location provides additional customer service training for management. Good, Solid Tacos - Not Quite Fantastic... I swung by Fuzzy's Tacos in Grapevine recently, looking for a casual bite, and it largely hit the spot. My service was good, there was a new guy on the register and he did a nice job, emperor being new. The kitchen prepared my meal fairly quickly. I opted for the Grilled Shrimp Tacos, and they were definitely good. The shrimp were well-cooked and flavorful, and the overall combination of ingredients was enjoyable. They were a bit over-powered by the garlic sauce they put on the taco, but that's just my taste. Along with that, I got the Queso and Chips The queso was a bit thin but still satisfying, and the chips were perfectly crisp for dipping. Everything I tried was pretty tasty and well-prepared. It's a solid choice for a quick, satisfying taco fix. However, I wouldn't go as far as to say anything was "fantastic." They were good, dependable, and I'd certainly return for another meal, but they didn't quite reach that "wow" level for me. Great burrito bowls were had. All the ingredients seemed nice and fresh! Decent portions and good atmosphere.

We have come here quite a few times for some quick fish tacos and a beer or the impressive grilled shrimp salad . . . and a beer; what is really impressive about this location is the management. Yesterday we met the general manager working the register, greeting the customers and taking orders left and right. He took orders, poured beers, checked on the kitchen, and went around ensuring all the tables were picked up and clean. Not a COVID thing, either - he did this before. Our chips were stale - he intercepted me on my way to the kitchen window and asked if there was an issue. I told him there was, what it was, and he immediately set out to fix it. He went back in the kitchen and found me a fresh new batch of chips that h himself tried out for freshness. No rudeness, no rolling of the eyes - just what is the problem, and let me make it right. Damned impressive, especially nowadays. As for the beer - ice cold. Food - delicious. It is a Fuzzy's, it is a chain, but the service here sets it up a notch. read more

I had an urge for fish tacos and this Fuzzy's did not disappoint! I got a shrimp tempura and a mahi tempura Baja taco. They both had generous portions of meat and were piled high with fresh lettuce, tomato, cilantro, and white cheese on corn tortillas. Very tasty! I liked the mahi tempura taco better than the shrimp but that's just me, I wanted to try them both. The manager was working alongside the others which is a good sign and he stopped by the table to ask how everything was. My girlfriend has shellfish allergies so I asked the manager if they fried the shrimp and fish in the same cooker. He said they did but if you let the clerk know you have an allergy when you place your order they would cook your order in a clean pan by itself so there would be no cross contamination. OK update time. Gone a tad downhill lately. I hate to say it. Because I generally love the casual-ness of this establishment. This also used to be one of my favorite locations. I do not know if it is due to the lack of care with their Door Dash customers but the last few times I've ordered my usual fajita chicken salad the quality has been lacking. The lettuce is always brown and often times I will ask for an item to be removed and the request will be ignored. The chips have also tasted stale or like they have been sitting out. I usually just pick the chicken out and eat that with my avocado dressing because that is the only thing that tastes fresh. Perhaps management or something has changed ONCE AGAIN. I can't quite put my finger on what is going on. I've also dined indoors and the tables sometimes are not cleaned. I hope they pay attention to reviews and make some necessary changes. The food was fantastic, our whole table enjoyed our dinner and drinks. What really made it 5 stars: the workers. They were so incredibly patient and kind to my overtired child. She was exhausted and on the brink of a meltdown. One of the staff members went to the crane game and won a stuffed animal for my daughter. She brought it over and completely changed my kiddos mood. She spent the rest of the night holding it and taking pictures with it. This woman completely turned our dinner around. I didn't catch her name but she had colored hair and gauges. I met here for lunch with some friends from church and my first thought upon pulling into the lot was, "wow, this is a difficult intersection." The parking lot is a bit tricky to navigate because the spot I chose ended up having a speed bump behind it so it took forever for me to be able to back out due to cars having to drive slowly then by the time that one go out from behind me, another had decided to go. I finally had to just back out, safely but quickly. The food was fresh and tasty, but the tea was mislabeled so I definitely took a BIG swing of unsweetened tea and almost choked. maybe it was just an off day and someone didn't pay attention to which one they put the sugar into but I saved a few other people from experiencing a cruel un-sugary slap in the face. I ordered the grilled fish taco, it was the worst fish taco I ever took a bite of. It was rubbery and gross and I spit out the bite I took. I had also ordered the new steak taco it had g ribs in it and look great in picture and for 5 dollars that came with a fountain drink. Sadly it looked nothing like the picture. It was small and had four fries that were soft and brown and it was smothered all over with orange sauce. I managed to eat it as I was over hungry . I would not order food from here again. Also when I first arrived at 9:10 pm I drove around parking lot and double checked the closing time on my phone as the lights were real dim and a cone was placed directly in front of door and most of seating was blocked off, I had the feeling the staff wanted to be done for the night. So I live within 5 minutes of Fuzzy's. We used GrubHub to order our food for delivery. Within 20 minutes we had our food, which was the plus side. The negative side was that everything was absolutely cold. Not lukewarm, cold. The refried beans, the tacos/meat, rice, enchiladas....you name it, it was cold. I paid over $80 after delivery fees and everything and that meal was worth maybe $15. Taco Bell would have even been a better option and better value for my money. read more

I love some fuzzy tacos! I usually get chicken tacos along with an order of chips and quacamole. On our most recent visit there wasnt a line so we quickly got in and ordered. I also love their Mango (I think its mango) Iced tea. yumm... The restaurant was clean and there was plenty of seating, inside and outside. Although the outside patio had a cover around the sides. I think it had been cold recently so that is why they had it on. The gentlemen cleaing the tables was kind and eager to make sure we sat at a clean table. He was very helpful when we needed a little extra cleaning on our table...little sticky but he came right over and apologized for it and took care of the problem. The potatoes taste like they were sitting out for 24 hours, the cilantro lime rice was room temperature. I'll visit another location, hopefully I can give 5 stars next time. Love all their tacos, the girls at the front every time i've gone have been so sweet and helpful. Beer is cheap. Happy hours are amazing. Just found out they do a 7am-5pm one to get people in earlier, which I'm happy with because I work odd days and hours. Location is great, right off the highway. Best part is they prepare the food SO fast; we'd order, sit down say two words and it's done already. Dog friendly porch is such a huge plus. Always offer big bowl of water for our pup. read more

The person who rang up my order acted like I was keeping her from doing something better. When your food is ready they call your number. The girl called my number, i went up and she very rudely told me she had not called it. I didnt even get back to my seat when she called my number again but added a snarky comment about my food getting cold. When I went back up again she looked at me and was again very rude. Amazing food, every single time. I've been going to Fuzzy's for several years, and they've consistently made the most incredible--while sometimes odd-sounding--dishes! When I first heard of the Fuzzy's Taco chain, my initial thought was that "Fuzzy's" is a pretty unappetizing word. I'm easily grossed out by certain verbiage, and Fuzzy's - to me - just isn't a favorable name for a food establishment. I went recently and waited nearly twenty minutes in line. Granted, it was dinner time on a Thursday night. It was absolutely packed, so I have no doubt that people truly love this place. I'm just not one of them. I'd say their food is mediocre, their special "garlic sauce" is most-likely mayonnaise with a hint of garlic powder, and the place overall is extremely messy. You order your food and pick it up at the front, so there aren't waiters around to consistently help out. People busing tables are few and far between, and it's so crowded that most patrons grab a table as soon as one's free, so you end up siting with the previous group's mess. You'd think people could at least somewhat pick up after themselves, but nah!! We ended up taking our food to go because the patio was far too crowded with mobile children for my liking. They forgot to give us our chips and salsa, and there was a large bug's leg in my veggie taco. Definitely a bug leg. These things happen, I know. There's all sorts of bug parts in most food we eat, so, extra protein points! All in all, I'm not a big fan. But they do have an extensive menu and cheap food, beer, and margaritas. I am getting sick and tired of the lack of quality control on the food their line cooks put out. We got two spicy pulled pork sandwiches last night. Mine was perfect, but my husband's was so freaking burnt that he literally had to stop eating it. He's someone who usually enjoys a little overcooked crisp, but this was freaking BLACK and INEDIBLE. We unfortunately got our food to-go and didn't feel like driving all the way back up there, so we just cut our losses this time. This has happened several times to us at this location now. I don't understand how someone could see completely burnt bread and think that is appropriate or okay to serve to a customer? We've had undercooked potatoes, completely burnt potatoes. The staff at Fuzzy's is super nice, and the restaurant is spacious and clean. In many ways, it is a great place to go for a quick, affordable meal. The breakfast taco, burritos and platters are very good. I really like their breakfast potatoes. I am really not a big fan of their regular tacos. The shredded chicken always tastes like it is from a can. The shrimp are small, and are sparingly used in tacos or burritos. I like the tacos at SoCal and Torchy's much better, although they are also much more expensive. The side dishes are good. read more

I live within walking distance from Fuzzy's, so it's a convenient place to go to for breakfast. Or it would be if I liked the food there. I judge any Mexican / Tex-mex food place by the quality of their beans. They're canned here. Or at least they taste that way. The rest of the food is pretty standard. There isn't anything exceptional about the tacos or the breakfast dishes. If it weren't for the food, this place would be great. Grapevine Fuzzy's: Biggest Pro- Cheapest bar beer prices in Grapevine daily. (And 3 separate happy hours) Biggest Con- The absolute worst bar service at any establishment in the city--including Southlake. The pro doesn't need much explaining, they have LakeFire on tap :) ($2 draft during happy hour) Con is almost unbelievable. Don't expect anyone to take your drink order unless you are sitting at the indoor bar. There's an outdoor bar but I've yet to have my drink order taken there in 4 visits (each several hours long--AND sitting at the outdoor bar top). Expect no chitchat. Your empty drinks will not be removed. Expect no courtesy reminders about specials or happy hour. **Currently my bartender is outside chilling with her friends and ignoring everyone at the indoor and outdoor bar (but don't worry even if this is unusual-- eating food and general "disappearing" is how things usually go** I like reasonable beer price so I'll keep coming--but never have I considered less than a 20% tip until I've been here. Love this Fuzzy's Taco shop. They make the best breakfast burritos on earth. And they play rock music from way back. Some of the rock music they play is back from the 60's and 70's. They play other music some of the time but I really appreciate hearing all the old bands I still like. And their enchilada plate is great. And they have huge Margarita glasses. They look like they hold at least a quart. Me and my wife usually share one because they are huge. All the food is great, the staff is friendly and courteous, and the service is fast. You won't wait very long to get food here even when they are busy. Not much beats munching down on a big breakfast burrito and listening to some great oldies band music from days gone by. Last visit: Queso was cold, took it back and they brought out more "warm" queso that was about the same. Guacamole looks like a lot, until you realize the bottom of the cup is full of lettuce. My first Fuzzy's experience was in Mineral Wells Texas. A very hip and trendy vibe with a Country meets Red Neck meets Younger Generation. I have since tried a couple of others locations and its just not the same. The street Tacos are very good and they give you a wide variety of options for the fillings. I ordered the cheese enchiladas tonight and was very disappointed. They had little cheese inside and none on top. No onion either. The corn tortillas were the same size as the taco tortilla if that gives you an idea. Plus they were just folded, not rolled. Two little cheese enchiladas with a small portion of rice and a cup of beans for $7 is rather high. I arrived about 930 and closing time is 10. The manager tells an associate that she needs to run everyone out by 1015. The tea was dumped before the guests were done eating. No one bothers to ask if we might want a refill before they dump it.
