No, this is not a place that will compete with more upscale places, but if you are looking for solid fast food tacos you have found the best spot. For what they are, they are a five star location. I grew up eating Taco Bell back in the 60s, and was so happy when I found Taco Casa 20 some years ago! We all feel Casa is what the Bell used to be, before Bell started trying all new & different things, with higher prices/ smaller portions. This location, consistently delivers very good service. Accurate orders, with good size portions at a reasonable value! We especially love their Chilada's, however, everything here is done really well! It's always clean and well maintained, with the typical fast food dining area. Napkins and plastic wear are always well stocked and plentiful. Additionally, if you sign up for text messages, you frequently can get special deals... Like two Chiladas, for about the price of one. I love crispy beef tacos and have been going to Taco Bueno for convenience. But stumbled on Taco Casa last year and made 5 trips to various stores in Texas. The food is much better than the other chain fast food Mexican restaurants. The friendliness and service from staff is outstanding. Very well trained. I wish there were more stores in DFW. I was greeted right away by a smiling and friendly employee. The place was clean and fairly busy. My food was ready in about two or three minutes. I ordered a super burrito and a soft taco. This place scrimps on meat and beans in the food portions. The chilata was almost flat with hardly any meat inside. Also, the taco salad had maybe 2 tablespoons of meat and 3 of beans. Wow. These tacos are huge. The food was great. I was expecting Taco Bell sized portions and quality and was pleasantly surprised to see the fullest tacos I have ever seen. I'll start by saying the food here is very good. As far as fast food Mexican goes, it is heads and tails above several of its competitors. We needed a late dinner tonight, and my husband suggested Taco Casa. I remembered a previous visit when it was kind of late and the employees had very reluctantly served us while commenting about is being the last customers for the evening. A car pulled in while they were making our food, and that car was turned away. I remember thinking it seemed quite early for them to be closing and because of this I checked their website before venturing out tonight. Yelp and, more importantly, the Taco Casa website both said the drive through was open until 11. I pulled in at 10:05, and nobody would even acknowledge me on the intercom. I waited for a minute then pulled through. There were employees inside who saw me, but nobody acknowledged me. After a few minutes I drove off. I'm now down the street in a line that's a million miles long at the Taco Bell. There's obviously demand for an extra hour Taco Casa. Beyond that, the treatment of employees twice at this location is unacceptable. Your company's website should reflect your real hours. So disappointed. read more

Excellent taco Tuesday treat! There's a lot that just feels different about this place. Like they only charge $1 for tea, half the price of soda. Seems like other places charge the same price. And they have an automatic sliding door coming in and out. Not to mention, their tacos are delicious with generous toppings and the meat tastes like 100% beef. I would love to rate them higher but today they made me a little upset. First the food quality is pretty good for a fast food place that you know isn't healthy at all. But does fill that taco or burrito craving. Now the part that kept me coming back was they use to give city employees and school district employees a free drink. I know to some this doesn't sound like a big thing. But in the day when your soft drink is $2 that's a big chunk of your lunch budget when trying to eat on a budget. So today when I went in they rang it up as such and then one of the kids whispered to my attendant that we don't do that anymore. As a public servant it was nice to be able to take advantage of this and was reason I would come here over the several dozen competitors they have. This small change in policy will now make me just go to one of the other fast food taco shops, if I can't save a little by coming here then might as well eat real good tacos. I love the food! HOWEVER, my order was messed up 3 weeks ago and I paid for items I didn't receive. I didn't notice till I got home to feed the family. I called and went straight to v/mail where I had to leave a message. I left all my info and the reason for my call yet was NEVER called back. I even called the next day! So today I ask for the items I already paid for yet never received. They were ridiculous to the point t where I almost left my $20+ order to go to Taco Bell or Bueno.
