Extremely mediocre. We have enjoyed other locations but would not return here. It wasn't busy so we got our food timely. Got shredded chicken soft tacos and they were awful. Hard to say exactly what, but just blah. I had a ground beef and it was fine and a shrimp taco which essentially was a lettuce taco with a couple shrimp inside. The last issue was the temperature. I was so cold in here that you couldn't finish your meal before it got cold. As far as this chain goes, this one misses the mark. read more

Loved the fresh salsa and chips with spicy seasoning. The bacon, egg, potato and cheese burrito was the bomb.com. Big enough to split with someone...but I managed to eat most of it. The Grapevine location is just a few minutes drive from DFW airport. Hits the spot after a long flight. Prices are awesome, too! read more

tacos are pretty good but please tell Uncle Ben to stay out of the kitchen (yeah I am pointing at your boxed rice) The queso was mac and cheese sauce. the gauc dip was pleasing except for the shredded lettuce placed on the bottom to be used as a filler. Staff was very friendly, the bar looked well stocked but I did not partake in any beverages. Even if I wanted to go back my kids said hellz no! I might go back to have a rita and watch a sports game....they do have a patio not much to gawk at read more

Yes, I'm a Fuzzy's addict. I was here for lunch the other day. I love those crunchy tacos!!!! This particular location is on a busy one-way road, currently under construction, so getting here is a little difficult if you're stuck on the other side of the street! But, it's as good as all the other Fuzzy's around here. They have a nice patio out there - but you'll be facing that busy street and construction so, maybe not the best place to chill! But the tacos were awesome, as always. Service was friendly - they helped pick up after ourselves. Yay Fuzzy's!!! read more

Came here and had a good time for a quick lunch visit. Good drink specials and the food was good for the price. It wasn't a mind blowing experience, but then again .. I wasn't looking for that. Fuzzys is not going to be a place I visit ever again. Wow, really gross. The tacos are nasty point blank. We ordered several different kinds because a few co-workers had told me to try them out. Being from San Diego, I'm constantly looking for some good tacos, burritos - anything Mexican. Sadly, sorely, overwhelmingly disappointed. The sign on the door reads "Welcome to Your New Addiction"; It couldn't be more accurate. I admit that I'm a creature of habit, but their salads are phenomenal. Have you ever had to literally ask someone through the expo window for there to be someone in front after you've waited for 10 mins? Neither have I until I decided to visit this location just for the kid to walk out laughing as if there wasn't a line of 4 people waiting for him or anyone for that matter. read more

We had a great time eating here. The food was pretty good. The servers were nice. It looked like a cool bar and consistent drink specials and lots of TV's to watch the game. I would definitely like to come back. App: Queso with chorizo - pretty tasty with their chips. It wasn't life changing or anything, but tasted good. I had fajitas and they were tasty. The beef was a little chewy, but still a positive experience. The prices were right. The employees were happy to see us and it was great for a quick lunch. read more

I am shocked to see I haven't written a review of this location. The last two times I ate there I had dictated scathing reviews in my head while still eating it. I guess I got tired of dealing with it by the time I could sit down and write one. Let's get something straight, I would never recommend any Fuzzy's as a great meal. If you are the type of person who loves Fuzzy's... and I know you are out there because they keep popping up, then I guess add a star. Frankly, I think I'm being kind. Okay, with that out of the way, even if you are a fan of this chain, don't go to THIS location. When my team and I transferred to this area, they were really excited about the amount of restaurants in the area, specifically Fuzzy's. I've never been a fan, but I usually don't mind going along with the group for lunch since I barely have time to eat it. They weren't great when we first moved over here, but generally solid and I would occasionally give in because members of the team really wanted to eat there. They've been going downhill for a while and I've just had it. I will no longer eat here, but frankly no one seemed that disappointed when I stated this to my team. Here are the stats from the last five visits: - The food has been very cold on the last 3 visits, not cool, extremely cold. - We always call in an order ahead of time and four of the times the food wasn't ready even though we arrived well after the time they told us. No one has been apologetic or very friendly. - On three of those visits more than half of the tacos were soggy and dripping grease and too gross to eat. - They have mixed up the orders twice. - They have not followed instructions (example no onions) on three of those visits. - The Latin Fried Potatoes are the only thing I have consistently liked and they left them out of two of the orders altogether while replacing them with beans on another. The food is so-so at best. I have had visits where the fish, shrimp and special ground beef tasted pretty good and visits where they are cold, incorrectly cooked, tasted old or were very greasy rendering them inedible. The rice and beans have never tasted very good. I've heard their nachos are good though. As I've said, I've eaten from here because others in a group wanted to. No more though, I'm not having any part of it unless I hear there has been an overhaul of this location. I really hate how harsh all of this sounds, but it's just not worth your money, especially not with all the options in the area. If you are a fan, go for it, but as of now this location is a complete gamble. read more

My love for this place is kind of ridiculous.... it never lets me down! To start with the welcoming staff as often as I go here it does kind of change often but! They are great with hiring very personable crews who legit always welcome you in and talk to you like they know you. Or maybe they have a secret picture of my face somewhere that says 'this girl always eats here by herself be nice to her' lmao Next to their food always being fresh and made perfect to the T, they always go above and beyond when I ask for extra sauce, cilantro, be sure that my potatoes are piping hot and fresh! I'm pretty needy when it comes to eating at restaurants and I never get an attitude when putting in my order and requesting things that some people would get annoyed with. You know how it can be....some restaurant employees aren't very nice when you start mixing things up on the menu lol But I also love the fact that not only is their food extremely yummy! Their bar is even better! And fun! This is also a great place to come with friends bc they have great drink specials. The bartender also is amazing with helping you choose drinks! She made me a fuzzy driver with a blue moon in it and OMG it tasted like an adult Orange Julius and I was in heaven! I live 2 miles from another fuzzys location but I always choose this grapevine one because the atmosphere is more welcoming and the food is better. read more

Food was incredibly hot and fresh! My sister and I ordered the queso with chorizo, the two chicken enchilada plate, and the two taco plate (shrimp). Everything was so delicious and very filling. The gentlemen who was the cashier last night was so friendly and checked on us quite frequently to make sure we where enjoying ourselves. read more

I only give 2 because the margarita was pretty good. But the food was cold and the cashier wasn't coherent enough to take the order properly. Kept stumbling his words, eyes were dropping and couldn't form a sentence. Sounds like a drug test is in order. Not to mention the food was super cold and my order was wrong. Sad representation of Fuzzy's. read more

Good, fast tacos for lunch. A little on the pricey side, but they are delicious. I will be back! The black beans were a little bland. I didn't particularly like the flavor of the Butt Burning Hot Sauce. Grilled shrimp taco and the spicy pork taco were both delicious and had a nice, fresh flavor to them. The cilantro lime rice was decent, but tasted just like Chinese fast food fried rice. read more

Pros...nice atmosphere. Their meat for their tacos are tender and we'll seasoned. Their chips are fresh. Cons... They do not know what a street taco is and this is disappointing when you are wanting street tacos for dinner. Street tacos should be served on 2 your inch corn tortillas, not 1 six inch torilla. There is a reason for using 2 tortillas; a single tortilla will fall apart. read more

My husband and I went here for lunch after some Memorial Day shopping. I ordered the taco plate (brisket) and he got the combo plate. I thought the brisket was only okay. It had so much grease, and not the good kind. Yeah, believe it. But, then again, I am Hispanic and I was raised in El Valle so my standards of brisket are already high on the delicious scale. Mi gente knows what's up. (Haha). But moving forward, the cilantro lime rice that came with is was a little too dry. The black beans were that fresh from a can flavor, and very salty. I felt like the tacos that the Irving Fuzzy's had made were much better. Don't get me wrong here, everyone. This was simply a case of me ordering the wrong plate! My food was "okay," but not "great." My husband's food, on the other-hand, was a completely different story. I tried my husband's combo plate with his chicken enchilada and chicken taco, and it was fantastic! The mix mex rice was really delicious. It was nice and moist, but still textured with the peppers mixed in for that kiss of spicy flavor. Perfectly salted. The enchilada with its cheese and tomatillo sauce was beautifully made, with that subtle marriage of the chicken tinga flavor. It practically melted in your mouth! And the chicken taco was fresh and flavorful. Bottom line, I think this location needs to work on the Brisket flavor. But! Definitely order the enchilada plate/combo plate and choose either chicken of beef tacos. Still a good place to eat if you want something delicious and at a fair price. read more

Who doesn't love Fuzzy's? The menu is huge and everyone can find something. They load their tacos up nicely and the queso is really good. Service is friendly and you don't have to wait long to get your food. If you order queso, it comes out immediately so you can snack while you wait for your food. If you want the coldest beer in town, they don't disappoint. The tea is really good too. Some of my faves are the shrimp quesadillas and the nachos. They are huge and enough to share. I've been going here for years and years and I can't believe I hadn't reviewed it yet. read more

Before arriving in Texas, if someone asked me if I would like a Fuzzy taco for lunch I might have slapped them. Now I know that Fuzzy's is a Baja-style taco place. I had also never heard of Baja-style prior to arriving in Texas. For those that may not know, Baja-style apparently means lettuce, tomato, cilantro, cheddar and feta cheese, and garlic sauce. I am not a feta fan, so I always order mine sans-feta. I have had lunch at this location several times. I have tried grilled shrimp and grilled fish soft tacos. I have tried spicy pork soft tacos. I would eat all those tacos again. On a sad day in diet history I ordered the California Heat soft taco, which was tastefully....but not so tasty that I would care to spend 650 calories on one again. Six hundred and fifty calories for uno taco! Crazy. The chips and salsa is pretty good and I love the mango iced tea, which is unsweetened. My only issue with this place is the temperature. In summer and winter it seems to be chilly inside. Bring a sweater. BTW, tacos are cheap on Taco Tuesday. You're Welcome! read more

Average to me is 3 star. Watching the Rangers game on the big screen on the patio! Ordered a 2 taco combo plate, shredded chicken, shredded brisket, 2 sides - refried beans and cilantro lime rice. Food was hot and fresh. Food is not comparable to California Mexican food or Tex-Mex. They have their own take on tacos/Mexican food. Definitely recommend, I will be back! They also have a nice selection of draft beer including DOS xx lager, one of my favs. Bottom line if your looking for hot fresh tacos with an interesting twist this is a place to try. read more

When my husband picked up our tacos- the kitchen help was terrible! And the music SUCKED. Boring location! Save your money and go to the Grapevine Glade location! Our regular joint, Peace Burger, has finally got a run for it's money. The tacos are cheap and delicious. The grilled veggie salad is stupid good, humongous, and doesn't even need dressing - just use the Fuzzy's Hot Sauce. The beer is cheap and served in goblets. Let me repeat, THE BEER IS SERVED IN GOBLETS. Anything that gives me the opportunity to reference Harry Potter is much appreciated, particularly when alcohol is involved. So we can get in and out of here, full of delicious food and tasty beer, usually for close to $20. I'm sorry, Peace Burger. It's not you, it's the goblets. read more

I came here a while ago and their tacos were pretty good. Very small tacos for $3-$4 which is a bit much. I had ordered the tempura fish taco, grilled shrimp taco, tempura shrimp taco, and crawfish taco (they don't have this anymore). My favorite tacos to eat was the grilled shrimp and crawfish. The sauces that were provided with each taco was tasty (and needed to give it more flavor). Overall, not a bad spot to come to for tacos but I've had better. read more

Kids ordered nachos and quesadilla with Oreo choros. Churos were very hard. Cheese on the nachos was off. Very little help on staff. Wife ordered alcohol drink from menu and they didn't know what it was. Food did t seem as fresh and environment is not near as nice as our hometown Fuzzy's that we love. read more

This location has become the go-to spot for Friday Happy Hours! $2 Ziegen Bocks in ice cold goblets go down easy on hot Texas days. The bartenders hustle to keep everyone happy, but make sure you know what you want before you order because the bar area is small and there's no room for the timid during happy hour. Man up, speak up, and they'll get your drinks out fast! Although there is construction in the area it is still easy to get in and out of the parking lot. Take your time though, have a seat on the patio and enjoy your drink! Everything on the menu is freshly prepared and tastes great, but this isn't Tex-Mex so if you like a little heat (like me) grab some of the Butt Burner Hot Sauce and load up! read more

Lots of seating inside and out; outside offers a great view of the common area; a great place for children to play. The tableside made guacamole was absolutely delicious; probably the best I've had!! The steak nachos were recommended by a friend and we were quite delicious. After studying the choices of margaritas available; I decided on hell freezes over. Not only was it fun; the dry eyes lasted forever; it was extremely tasty. The wait staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. I can't wait to go back and try something different and also get the guacamole and margarita again!

I got the cheese one and it was supposed to be in a spinach cream mushroom sauce. All of the cheese was not fully cooked through and the spinach wasn't cooked or in the sauce. Just thrown on top. There was no flavor to the sauce at all so it was very disappointing. I'd be willing to try again and maybe this was an off day for them.

I had not been to this particular Uncle Julio's before, in fact, it is set off the road enough that if you blink you might miss it. Walking in you immediately notice that the ambiance pays tribute to their other stores in that there is a nice blend of traditional Mexican decor blended with modern decor. I ordered Fajitas. I am going to say they were respectable. Not the best I have had, but way better than a lot I have had. Would I get them again? Probably, but there are a lot of other things I would try on the menu before getting them again. Being my coworker's birthday, we ordered a Chocolate Piñata for dessert. It was a fun experience to have people at the table take a swing at it, until out came Churros, and Fresh Fruit. There was an array of sauces to dip the Fruit and Churros in. Our Service was a bit slow at times, and for that I am taking a star off the rating. We all sat on the patio, which may have contributed to our feeling forgotten a few times

The free chips and salsa were good but not outstanding. The salsa was warm and obviously homemade, but it lacked kick. It was tasty but not "OMG this is good." I started with a cup of Roberto's queso which is the standard queso cheese with some ground beef, pico, and a tablespoon of guacamole. It too was good but not outstanding. I am not sure what it was missing but there was something that was needed. I had the two beef tacos and they were just average. Not much flavor or anything distinctive. The ground beef was not well seasoned so they were kind of bland. The rice and black beans were also kind of bland. Frankly, my tacos at home are better. The wife had the taco salad and liked it, although it did not come with any dressing. She used the salsa. Not sure if that was an oversight or that is the way the salad is served. She was also happy that they serve Negro Modelo on tap, so she was happy. The kid had nachos with black beans and cheese and did not complain. Overall, the meal was fine, nothing was terrible, but nothing really stood out as a compelling reason to return.

Such was the case recently when we paid a visit to Mesa. The first order of business was getting an appetizer to go with the chips and salsa. Upon the server's recommendation we got the queso Blanco. It was quite possibly the blandest queso I have ever eaten. At this point I started to worry that it was a sign of things to come. However, the extra spicy salsa that we also requested to go with the chips was more flavorful and gave me hope for the entrees. The good news is that my chicken and cheese enchiladas turned out to be better than the insipid appetizer. The not so good news is that it was still a mediocre meal. The rest of my family had mixed feelings about their food. My husband, who got 2 beef enchiladas, said his were overly salty but otherwise average. The bacon wrapped shrimp that my mother got were a little overcooked but she liked the sides. Both of my sons' entrees, the Mesa burrito and the chicken strips, were very well received. People like to say that even when pizza is bad it's still good. For me, that also applies to Tex-Mex. But, considering the plethora options out there, I doubt I will be returning anytime soon.

Basically, you couldn't go wrong with a visit here no matter your preferences. I don't know exactly when or how many times the ownership changed over the years, but apart from the name, nothing about this place is the same today. It was immediately evident upon being served chips and queso that both seemed like they came straight from a package. The extra hot salsa we requested turned out to be a creamy, green concoction that had a jalapeno-y flavor, but somehow still wasn't spicy. I will give them credit, however, for a very tasty regular salsa that appeared to be made in house. For my entree I ordered the Picante Enchiladas. Contrary to what the name implies there was no detectable heat. Furthermore, the grilled chicken on top had the distinct flavor of a frozen version made by Kroger. Once again, that prepackaged element reared it's ugly head. My husband and sons were mostly underwhelmed by their meals as well. The phrase "I've had better" was echoed around the table. And, they aren't normally a picky bunch! Our server brought everything out quickly, checked on us often, and kept our drinks topped up throughout our meal. So kudos to him! I have said this before, but it bears repeating. The Tex Mex arena is far too competitive for mediocre food like they serve here. It's a shame that a place I once considered to be 4-5 star establishment barely earns 3 stars now.

Service started off a bit slow, as we waited about 10 minutes before anyone came to take our order, but once we were attended to, everything went smoothly.
