my best friend wanted to come here and i'm so glad we did, we got the chilaquiles, french toast, earl grey tea, hibiscus limeade and the pumpkin spice latte, both food items were a 10/10, so flavorful and perfectly made, i appreciated the chilaquiles being slightly spicy and the salsa they put on them was delicious which i was shocked cause most brunch spots have bland tasting salsa, all the workers i interacted with were nice and welcoming, the set up inside and outside is so cute, the hibiscus limeade wasn't too sweet which is perfect for me and the pumpkin spice latte is by far the best one i've ever had in my life! the prices are reasonable for the quality of food you get, definitely excited to come back! read more

A vibrant Saturday morning well spent in this restaurant. I loved my Avocado Farro bowl and my friend enjoyed his eggs benedict special. I also got a cup of tea for my couple hours of work. Brunch here was good. We arrived last Sunday at noon and it was pretty busy. We found a table as it opened up and the worker quickly came over to clean it up for us. I ordered the ham and cheese omelet, toast, and potatoes. I also ordered a side of French toast to share with the table. The omelet was ok but it was just too plain for me as it was really bland. The potatoes were delicious though and those were seasoned well. The French toast were also pretty good and they were fluffy on the inside. The cashier was friendly and the inside was clean. Can confirm: still a cute spot to bring your pup on Central near uptown! We both got coffees and shared the Frenchie Toast. My cold brew coffee was ready immediately, and they forgot his mocha (but grabbed it when they brought our plate). They have updated it since we were here last: there's an outdoor walk up/bar area with stools and a dog bowl for water. When we went, we saw a man with his pet parrot on his shoulder. So this indoor/outdoor patio is still animal friendly! Frenchie Toast was damn good! Would absolutely get it again if we were craving some near Uptown. Only downside to this place is parking is kinda tough. You really either luck out and grab one, or you're going to be stuck having to get back on Central and make a u-turn (and then again) to circle around. This spot is right next to the light rail so it's essentially on a one-way road. read more

My mom and I came here for breakfast. A new place for us to try. The place is nice and modern. The service is good, not much of service. I mean you go in order your food first, they give you a table number, and they bring the food out to you. If you get drip coffee you go and serve yourself. That coffee (drip coffee) was weak, we didn't really care for it. The food was ok, I got "DOS" plate the potatoes were too big, and I got a pancake and that was too sweet. I've been coming here regularly for the last 5 years and it has been nothing short of amazing almost every time. While all the food is great and consistent, the chorizo burrito and pancakes are especially exceptional. The food is noticeably better than other breakfast/brunch spots like the Henry, JoJos, daily jam, etc. The service is usually good, nothing outstanding but also nothing to complain about. Stopped for a late lunch, and even though they close at 3:00 and we arrived at 2:30, we were treated well by the person taking our order. (Don't worry--we were out before closing time!) There is a bar with what looks like beer, wine, and cocktails. And if course lots of specialty coffee. This place is clearly pretty popular, as there were still many people when we walked in. There is patio seating, an indoor/outdoor bar, and a large high-top table for bigger groups--both were full of people. It's a great aesthetic with beamed ceilings, wood on the walls, great lighting fixtures, and empty egg carton cups on the ceiling, which look pretty cool. There is also a bar. The menu has more breakfast than lunch choices, but everything sounds good. We had the chicken pretty sandwich and the chicken chopped salad. Both were delicious and quite large. I've been here several times and I get a different vibe each time. Sometimes I love it, and sometimes it's just okay. There's no real server, you order at the counter and they bring your food out when it's ready. There is a nice, young people vibe here and it's a pretty interesting modern environment. Very casual. The coffee is just okay. I prefer a stronger, more full bodied coffee. The breakfast and brunch items are creative and delicious. I always enjoy coming here. I tried the quiche from their specials which was so tasty--it came out hot and had mushrooms, spinach, and gruyere cheese with a nice crust. The salad it came with was lacking as far as flavor of the dressing, I think it was just heavy on the olive oil and made it a a little bitter. Could use a more acidic dressing especially with the arugula. The coffee drinks were all delicious. The caramelito and horchata latte were on the sweeter side, but the coffee and flavor combos were good. I would personally recommend the xocolate one for a stronger and less sweet coffee. read more

Overall, this place is just okay. My husband ordered the croquet Madame. It wasn't bad but not great. I order the parfait, it was good (fruits were fresh and decent portion). We also ordered 2 drinks: cappuccino and pumpkin latte. They were a big disappointment. Coffee wasn't good, quite bitter. The foam was horrible. I can do better than that at home. I had what started off to be a very tasty lunch with out of state friends and my very well-behaved dog here on a beautiful warm April Saturday afternoon. Of course, as responsible dog owners, we did not attempt to bring our dog inside, and instead sat outside on the patio. They had the misters running on an 85° afternoon which is too cool in Phoenix to run misters. We politely asked one of the bus boys if he wouldn't mind turning off the misters off so we could enjoy our lunch without getting wet. He went and asked the manager and returned and said that he had tried his best, but the manager insisted they must stay on because they "keep the restaurant cool inside." This made no sense to us because most of the patio is nowhere near the open window into the restaurant, and it was simply just not hot enough to be running them. Not to mention we and the dog were clearly getting soaked. When I completed my meal, I let my dog lick the plate on the ground. Much to my surprise, the same manager came running over, created a huge scene, grabbed the plate, chastised me and my friends for " a health code violation,"ceremonially threw the plate into the trash in front of us and stormed off. I went inside to confront him for the behavior, asking why he had to be so completely rude and create such a scene. He looked at me and said "misters are staying on and you committed a health code violation." I said fine, why did you have to make such a big deal about it? You could've just walked over, pleasantly let me know about the violation and asked me to throw away the plate when she was done. I would have even paid for the plate if that is what caused him so much angst. When I asked for his name, he said "don't worry about it" and stormed off once again. I have to say that I have never in my life been made to feel so unwelcome as a dog owner and will never return, nor bring friends here either. I have been here three times and every time has been a delight. Partial self service style- order at the counter, they bring the food to you, you grab your own drinks. I have had the Monte Carlo, the breakfast hamburger, and the chilaquiles! The monte Carlo was incredible, so was the breakfast hamburger!
