I really appreciate G&C Auto Body for repairing or replacing the car door. It looks really new as if I got a new car or never got into an accident. It took weeks for this to process the repairs and everything is back to the way it was. I arrived during the evening and 30 minutes before they're closed. Perhaps that's why there weren't many people? Also they have water bottles and coffee inside the building while you can wait to get your car back or other things. What looked minor turned into a repair costing approximately $7,100, and I am genuinely grateful for G&C Auto Body's craftsmanship in repairing and restoring my car to its original condition. My vehicle was hit while at a stop sign, and the other driver's insurance, USAA, took responsibility for the repairs to my 2025 Tesla Model Y. Their only in-network provider, which was a Tesla-certified shop, was G&C Auto Body. I worked with Wilbert Vargas throughout the process, letting me know what may be needed for the repair, the time allotted to get the parts from Tesla, and how the supplemental would work if additional parts & labor are required after they start removing the parts to begin the repair. G&C Auto Body was extremely helpful and responsive, calling Enterprise to arrange a shuttle to pick me up for my rental, sending updates on the repair's progress, and letting me reschedule the pickup date to one that was easier for me. I contacted G&C Auto Body Shop because they assured me they could combine a quote for PPF with a quote to fix the damage underneath the PPF, as the insurance company stated they would only pay out one quote. The quote for the PPF was $800, and Savannah told me she would add the cost for the damage underneath the PPF to that $800 and submit it to the insurance company. However, when I contacted the insurance company, they informed me that the approved quote was only for $200. When I reached out to Savannah for clarification, she explained that this was how they input it and that they would add the rest of the amount supplementally after I dropped off my vehicle. This approach feels like a deceptive tactic to force customers into having their work done at their shop, rather than being upfront and transparent about costs. When I visited the shop to discuss this with Savannah, she became very angry and told me, "We are a body shop, not a quote shop." I found this entire experience to be dishonest and frustrating. I would not recommend this shop if you value transparency and straightforward communication. read more

I just picked up my car today from G & C Auto Body and I almost thought I was looking at someone else's car. My car (Tesla Model 3) had a dent and some paint damage from a collision on 880 last week. The dent, paint damage, and some other damages were all repaired by G & C Auto Body and you can't even tell there was ever a dent. Edit: shout out to Mustafa personally! I'll work on adding some before and after pictures later (if I can edit a review later? I'm not sure at the moment) because seeing is believing. I recently got rear ended and was forwarded here by AAA. It's a family owned business, that's relatively new (to me anyways), and is super clean. Luis performed my initial inspection and suspected that there could be more damage to the muffler pipes since my exhaust was hit in the accident. He even offered to remove the muffler and let me see the extent of the damage without me even asking which was great! The staff here are very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Luis gave me a detailed explanation of what my insurance would cover and truly helped me get everything I wanted at the best price. All of their work has a lifetime warranty which is fantastic. I'm glad they stand by their workmanship because it says air a lot about how great this business is. Definitely 10/10! Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the service Luis provided me and I highly recommend them to anyone that needs auto body work. read more

I had my 2016 Mazda dropped off at their San Jose location (San Carlos st) and it was transported to their Fremont location to get fixed. My car was fixed quickly I can say and once I got my vehicle back a couple items were missing all my change in my door handle was gone my marijuana that I purposely left in the glove department was gone some Home Depot buckets that I had in my trunk were gone they left their masking tape in my trunk which had no reason to be there because my damage was in the front of my vehicle. So I advise anyone who does take their car here to make sure you take everything out of your vehicle I mean everything. I contacted the branch manager I told him about my experience and told him about the items missing he got my number and told me he would follow up he never did all they did was send a email stating they were not responsible for any Missing items and that they have a very strict policy for theft so please take these thing into consideration when leaving you vehicle with this company. read more

I do NOT recommend this body shop! The customer service is terrible, and I found myself constantly chasing them for updates. For context, I visited this shop on Monday, 10/14 at 8 AM PT. One of the staff inspected my car, took photos, and said they'd share the details with a colleague who works with Geico. They assured me I'd be contacted the next day with next steps, which seemed fine at the time. By Day 3 (10/16), I had yet to hear from anyone, so I called the body shop. They told me they were still waiting to hear from Geico. After multiple calls with my Geico adjustor--who was confused because he hadn't received any estimate--it became clear that the shop had never shared the necessary information. What I was told earlier was completely incorrect. From Day 4 through Day 6, I called the shop 3-4 times daily trying to get answers. Carmen, the front desk staff, was consistently unable to reach the person in charge of my car. He was either out to lunch, busy with another customer, or simply unavailable, and I never received a call back. Now it's Day 8, and my car hasn't even been brought into the shop, let alone started. I'm taking my business elsewhere, and I strongly recommend others do the same. There are plenty of Geico-affiliated and other reputable body shops in the area that actually care about their customers and provide better service. read more

Terrible Experience with G and C Auto I recently had minor fender bender and was advised by my insurance to take my car to G and C Auto Shop. The experience was nothing short of a nightmare. 1. Lack of communication: I was told by auto shop that they would call me in a couple of days. However, I did not hear from them for couple of weeks. My insurance reached out to me claiming that the auto shop had been trying to contact me, but it turned out that they have been calling an old number. My insurance had my current number and somehow that crucial information. Was not passed on. 2: Unjustifiable repairs: When i eventually got the details of the cost for the work to be done, I was shocked to find out that the auto shop had removed the parts that didn't even needed to be touched. I had to pay to have my car towed to another auto shop who were equally puzzled about what G and C had done to my car and confirmed that what G and C to my car was completely Unjustifiable! 3. Exuberant charges: The charges G and C was outrageous--three times more than the estimated cost of repairs. What should have been $ 4000 was inflated to $ 14,000. 4. Total Loss Declaration: Due to inflated costs my insurance deemed my car total loss leaving me stunned when they asked me to sign off my car to them. I took my car for a fender bender and I was left with no car for more than a month and I payed out of pocket for rental car. I'm extremely disappointed and shocked by how poorly G and C Auto Shop handled this simple fender bender situation. I trusted them with my car and I'm dealing with the fallout of their incompetence. It's cost me, time, money and emotional distress. I would not recommend this auto shop to anyone. read more

Worst company work with , don't know anything about customer service and they are there to scam people by telling at last minute when you come to pick that they will charge 2.5% on card payment or get cashier check, who in the world will go to bank pay and get cashier check for them and waste hours doing that. They FORCE you to pay 2.5% fee by not disclosing it anytime when they disclose 5- 6 time for deductible but no mention of the fee they will charge. Cheating in broad day light and when you ask them you did not tell me this, they will point you to a small note they have posted, and they are assuming everyone reads every wall hanging and every note. They think they have no responsibility or obligation to inform about the 2.5% charge. They purposely hide the fact that they will charge you the fee on credit card . read more

My Tesla S was rear ended and this place took amazing care of my car. As a Tesla owner, I know how hard it is to get Tesla parts and how long it can take! They communicated with me every Tuesday and Thursday and left numerous vm updates throughout the week! My Tesla Model 3 performance was rear ended and this place took amazing care of my car. They advised me about hard it is to get Tesla parts and how long it can take! We waited for the parts to arrive and then made an appointment to have the repairs completed. I received text messages every every Tuesday and Thursday updates throughout the week! Savannah was especially responsive to my requests and I really appreciate her attention to the repair of my vehicle. They were especially responsive when I required a ride back to my home. It's been so frustrating working with them. I chose them b/c they were closest to me that the insurance company works with. We set up an inspection session, and that was a week ago. Throughout the week, I kept checking if the insurance company received the estimation (b/c they need to approve it for the shop to work on my car), and it's always shown as not. at first, they said they didnt send estimation to insurance company yet b/c they had to send me the estimation first. I never received it, so 2 days later I called in, they said "oh I sent it. I'll send it again in 10 min". hours go by, I still don't see it. called in again, and had them send over to me in real time, making sure I do receive the email before hanging up. Finally received it. their response was "oh weird how the previous sends didnt go through". ok fine, maybe their system had some glitches. After that, I still don't see insurance company receiving the estimation. I called G&C almost every day, they'd tell me "yes i'll send it in 30 min" "yes i'll send it today" Yet, I don't thinnk they ever did. Bc later on that guy said "ya there's a lot work I need to do before sending it in. i'll send them in today" but they've been saying "i'll send it in a moment" for few days??! Finally, more days go by, it's still shown as not sent. I call them again, they say "oh weird how it's not going through. maybe it's stuck somewhere" OMG stop bullshitting me! if your system is THIS glitchy, then 1) you should know and then be more proactive to make sure the other end receives it 2) you would be working on to fix it INSTEAD of just "oh i sent it! its not my fault you/they didnt receive it" like "hello????!!" so either they are super irresponsible or they are lying. none of these are good traits. ----UPDATE--- So I ended up going to another body shop instead. wow what a day and night difference!!! I just went yesterday AND THEY ALREADY SENT ME AND THE INSURANCE COMPANY THE ESTIMATES. So yup, these guys here at G&C definitely deserved their 1 star. read more

DONT WASTE A SECOND AT THIS PLACE. I booked an appointment on a Thursday for 1pm, I was assuming someone would take a look at the car. Got there and checked in, the receptionist said to wait. Another girl came and said she'll take pictures cause the other guy that was supposed to take a look just went to lunch. Why would you go on lunch when you have a scheduled inspection?! She said wait until end of day, crickets. Called Friday, asked for a follow up, the guy is not available and I asked for a call back before end of day, zero calls. Called Monday morning, asked for a follow up and call back, called 3 hours later and still nothing. I called back and I asked to wait in line cause the guy was inspecting another car, 30minutes on hold. I hung up and called again. The lady said she can't get a hold of the person in charge of my estimate. I asked if there's any notes on the car, she said well "IM GUESSING he hasn't looked at it cause the estimate says $30" that $30 was from my insurance cause they can't tell the actual damages from pictures! SMH. Awful place!!!! She offered me email addresses and can't even connect me to a manager to speak with. Just dont do it. You'll save yourself a headache and TIME read more

If I could give zero starts I would. I guess one will work. I dropped my car here to have paint work done on the outside. They returned it with the interior completely disgusting. My interior is black and they returned it cover in silver dust from the paint they worked on. It was completely unacceptable. Then they continued to tell Me they don't really "detail" inside cars. My Rav4 repair on Feb, 2023 at this shop, their sale representive give me invoice with "IOU" of charge $659 for replace Spare Cover, she promise the cover will be ready in one or two month and she will call me to installed. They do not take pride in their work. Over $15k in work done on our daughter's truck. Work is done for sure. And after her dad cleaned it - it looks real nice. But wait - why did he have to clean it? We should have arrived to a repaired and clean vehicle. The engine was dusty and dirty - where they were working and the entire truck was covered in dust and dirt. When I asked Savannah - what's the first thing she noticed on our truck? She hadn't a clue. I told her "it's filthy". To this she kindly reminded me I was at an auto body shop. Really? I hadn't realized. I thought for a second I was at a construction site. Thanks for the reminder Savannah - without it I really had NO idea where I was. . She offered to have them wipe it down. Uh no thanks to wiping dirt into the paint. Wth? ‍ I thought we were at a body shop ?? Anyone knows not to wipe dirt off a car especially fresh paint. Takes little effort to be polite and to present your customers with repaired and clean vehicles. Shows pride in your work. Go to Michael J's - they provide excellent service, respect of their customers and your vehicle comes back to you show ready. They also had the courtesy to tell me how to care for their work - at MJ's they made sure I knew how to care for my vehicle and their work when I left. read more

I'm just upset about dealing with them. My insurance agency decided to choose them. The cat was almost stolen from my car. It wasn't stolen, stealers just cut it on one side and was scared to finish his job. Basically, the piece was broken and my car was making loud sound and I was having hanging cat. I called this office to ask, how long it might take to fix my cat. They were just getting my phone number and promised call back. They never called back. I had to keep calling to make sure my cat will be fixed. And always same communication within a week. This first thing that made me upset. Another, that they didn't fix the cat, they had to replace, which made my insurance since this accident happened twice per month. So, they couldn't fix it, it was second disappointed thing for me. The last one, I requested to retur my catalyst converter, bcz it was brand new. And I didn't know how exactly it looks like. They promised me this part was the most expensive thing that usually is being taken out. And they returned me exhaust only. This is not okay. I'm so frustrating and freaking out. I would never go back to them and going antirecommend to all people about their service that they are providing with a lie. Definitely avoiding this place. read more

TESLA OWNERS BEWARE Avoid this place like the plague. Literally go to any other autobody shop that is certified for Tesla repair. This place is the absolute worst. I should have heeded the warnings of all the previous Tesla related car reviews but this place is horrible. David is the main go to person for Tesla related repairs but good luck getting any help from him. If you want to be ghosted and never have any of your questions answered go here. Otherwise, do not waste your time here for any Tesla related repairs. They are so unprofessional. They always say they will contact you or call you but days, weeks, months go by WITHOUT ANY WORD. You yourself have to put in the effort to get ANY UPDATE on your vehicle status. It is absolutely absurd. The one time I managed to get a hold of David on the phone, he was speaking to me regarding another vehicle. How unprofessional is that? They will lie to you about time frame estimates. Excellent 5-start service experience at the G&C Auto. I hit a table on the highway and damaged the front bumper, front fender, and scratched the passenger side door. I had a couple of quotes from different repair shops. G&C Auto was the direct repair shop with AAA insurance. I spoke to Mustafa at G&C Auto to get an estimate. Mustafa is a great guy, extremely helpful and transparent upfront. Mustafa explained the entire procedure and gave me the total cost and when the car would be ready. My Model Y took an additional week than the original date that I was given. Mustafa explained that Tesla delayed the shipment and promised that he would rush the repair process upon arrival on the part. I picked up my car the same day when G&C Auto received the part. G&C Auto detailed the entire car before I picked up my car. G&C Auto was easy to work with, and I really appreciated Mustafa's expertise, honesty, courtesy, and straightforward attitude. read more
