I came in for an estimate with a referral from State zFarms Insurance after an accident and initially thought the process was going normally. however, once I explained that I will not be getting the repairs done at their shop, the estimator's attitude noticeably changed, and the estimate that I received was low compared to the estimates that I received from state farms picture estimate and the other reputable auto body shops. I understand, that estimates can vary, but the huge difference made me question how accurate and honest the estimate really was.​ it felt like the estimate was lowered because I chose not to get the repairs done there, which was disappointing and very unprofessional. Came here as an option from my adjuster for an estimate of my damages for a AAA insurance pay out & because I wasn't going through them to get my damages fixed they gave me an estimate of $100. I have never been more offended & frustrated in my life. I had to refuse the offer from my own insurance, pursue the other persons insurance & amazingly got $2800 to fix my damages. i would NEVER refer this shop or encourage anyone to go here unless youre trying to get scammed and lowballed. Customer Service was Horrible @ 265 Eddy St..It took them forever to even acknowledge me as I entered the office.It felt like I was in a "zombie quiet room" Then while talking to "PK". Yea a nick name! I was met with a rude tone,because I asked a question, his follow up question was "do you NOT want to continue?" As if he is loosing patience with me.This happens far to much in Black Communities and we must stop doing business with those who prove they don't deserve our Business.Dont go to this location.For They want our Green,But can't stand our Black..ness!! read more

I brought my car to G&C Auto Body (South San Francisco) through Geico's preferred shop program after an accident on 10/18/25. My vehicle was later moved to the San Francisco location, and this is when the communication issues started. I had a an insuranced covered rental that would was only until 10/31. SF G&C would not call me and I received sporadic text messages, so I called multiple times to get updates. My repair completion date kept getting pushed back. On 11/11 my car was ready for pickup, so SF G&C brought my car back to SSF G&C. I arrived and did a check. We were getting ready to get into the car and leave but I noticed that the driver's seat made a loud cracking sound when raising or lowering it. The staff looked at it and told me the seat appeared broken, and that they would notify my Geico adjuster. Once the adjuster approves they will order the part. I asked if I should leave the car at the shop. I was told it was fine to take the car home because the staff made sure the bolts were on tight and that the shop would follow up. Days passed with no update, so I reached out to my Geico adjuster myself. He informed me that he had received no communication from G&C, and Geico had actually been open on Veterans Day (contrary to what the shop told me). He immediately contacted them, left a message, and planned to follow up. Shortly after, I missed a call from G&C and called back. I spoke with Eddy, who told me very abruptly, that I needed to take my car to a Toyota dealership and have them confirm whether the seat damage was from the accident. This was the first time anyone mentioned this requirement. When I asked why I hadn't been told this earlier, he simply repeated "that's what you need to do," without answering the question. When I asked why my adjuster wasn't notified like promised, the responses became increasingly curt and dismissive. At one point I was told that "the adjuster I talk to is different," even though my adjuster had already called and left a message minutes earlier. Something the shop claimed they never received. I ultimately scheduled the dealership appointment and learned it will cost $286 out of pocket just to get the diagnostic. Mind you I already paid my deductable. My concerns are not only about the additional expense, but the lack of transparency, the mixed information, and the unprofessional tone during follow-up. I expected consistent communication between the shop and my insurance, and clear guidance about next steps. What makes this experience especially frustrating is that this repair costs over $25,000, yet there was no sense of urgency or concern about the broken driver's seat which is a major safety component. Clear communication and accountability should be expected, especially for repairs of this scale. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with very little confidence in both locations' communication practices. I hope G&C leadership reviews this and improves how customers are informed and supported throughout the repair process. read more

Got into a fender bender a couple weeks ago. Among superficial damages, the right quarter panel was dented in and partially rubbing against my wheel, and the passenger door was dented so it didn't open. Brought my car to this shop and they worked magic! Took less than a week for the necessary parts to come in, and another week to repair my car. All I have to say is 2 months after first bringing my car in I've heard it all-, "parts delivered broken", "our mechanic broke his collarbone, here's the pic", "we didn't have you scheduled", "you need to make a $500 deposit", " I wasn't told you made the deposit", "that's why she doesn't work here", " it's up to you to confirm your appointment after you gave us the $500 deposit." G&C Auto Body is the BEST body shop I've ever dealt with. When someone backed into my parked car, their insurance company suggested G&C Auto Body. Eddie and his fantastic staff were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The rental car company picked me up at the G&C Auto Body and I was able to return the rental car there as well. Unresponsive after weeks of me following up. My Allstate representative sent me here as they are a approved mechanic. After taking time off work to bring my car for an estimate and weeks of me calling (speaking to someone twice who said a manager would followup and me leaving more voicemails), no call back, no estimate, and obviously, no repairs. If they didn't want the job or too busy, just say so and I'll take the car to another mechanic. It's very unprofessional to drag someone on for weeks and then no response. Avoid this place and Allstate should remove them as an approved vendor. read more

I made an appointment a week in advance and spoke to G&C twice and both times I specified that I would need rust repaired on my car. When I got there, they said they don't repair rust. They are very unreliable. Their front desk gives false information. read more

At first they were accommodating that's before I paid them. I had to return because the bumper installed had not been secured and there was a part that was flapping loosely and a part that goes under the light fell off because they didn't clipped the part appropriately. When I talked to the customer service person he said he would order the part and would call me once they receive it. 2 weeks went by and I didn't hear from them so I went to see and they had the part but didn't call me . They ordered the wrong part. I had to wait again but this time I made the effort to inquire about the part and I had to check in with them then they got an attitude when I would stop by. It took more than a month for them to fix the problem they were at fault for and it didn't take longer because I was going after work to get update.
