I had such a great experience at Pierre's after a small fender bender that damaged my front bumper and hood. It was my first time dealing with an insurance claim and was hesitant, but Valerie was super helpful and provided excellent communication (especially since I wasn't getting answers from my carrier). The customer service is top notch and the repair work was performed at the highest quality for competitive value (another nearby quote obtained was almost 30% higher and would have taken twice as long). I unfortunately walked out to the most SF scenario to find my car park and clearly hit and damaged, with no note of course. Pierre's Auto-body was in my insurance network and I'm so happy they were. They fixed $7k worth of damage in 5 days. I was under a time crunch because I only had a week before I was traveling for a month and they were so accommodating and efficient. They team of folks who get you scheduled, do the assessment are thorough, kind and very responsive. I will be taking my car back here when needed (hopefully not often). They are a small shop so when you bring your car in there can be a bit of a wait 30-60mins so plan accordingly but other than that they are fantastic! read more

I've taken three cars here over 20 years, previously my experience would be 5 stars but this last experience was disappointing. My 2017 BMW car suffered minor damage on the rear drive's side door and quarter panel- just scratches and small dent from an incident in a parking lot. The other party's insurance covered the damages and referred me to Pierre's. Since I had previous experience, I thought it would be a good choice but it wasn't. The service has gone downhill. The repairs were initially estimated to only take 5 days, that turned out to be nearly three weeks. I know they are a busy shop but, I called numerous times and no one there ever returned my phone calls. I also sent several emails about the status of the repairs-- none were returned. I had to drive there and ask about the status in person. When the repairs were completed, I had to decline accepting because there were drips in the paint. They didn't dispute the quality and took the car back. Three days later no calls. I had to come by to check on the status. The paint still has runs in it and in one place they sanded the paint down but didn't clear coat it. The keys were in the car so I just left in frustration. I will need to have another facility finish the job. I really want to leave Pierre's a good review since I've been a customer for so long. Also, I know they have to deal with a lot of unhappy individuals because of the nature of the business, but it doesn't take much to be polite or cordial which is also lacking. After an obnoxious quote $9,000 from a different body shop I just swung into Pierre's one day to see what they would say. The customer service was perfect, I was there for 30 minutes. Instead of pushing me hard on replacing the entire bumper like the other shop did on my Porsche Cayenne, they were able to remove 98% of the paint transfer and pop the dent out from a minor accident i had a while ago. I'm super happy with the service and the final result. Highly recommend this shop if you need work done. While waiting I also noticed they've been in business since 1967 so they have plenty of experience with everything out there and can fix anything foreign or domestic. I'd trust them with my Lamborghini (if I owned one) :) read more

The lady checking us in was wonderful and friendly. The work they did was great as far as I can tell. They billed the insurance company and we paid our $500 copay. Even though all we paid was the copay, they kept us in the loop about what was being done on the car and they told us specifically what the costs were, explaining that it wouldn't affect what we had to pay. The car has been functioning like new since they fixed it. We had been rear ended and the sensors were all messed up. This body shop fixed it up like new and we haven't had any trouble since. They did it all in a timely manner and kept us up to date on completion time. Overall we are happy with the experience! read more

I thought I would be in good hands since they are french & had good reviews & I grew up there so it would be easy to communicate. The body repair was good as expected BUT they ruined the electrical circuit of my convertible Audit TT & now I cannot drive my car anymore. They had outsourced the car for repair & left the top down so leaving my car in the rain! This is a long overdue review (service was Oct 2020) but I would highly recommend them. I got in a minor t-bone accident and their service was excellent. When they returned my truck, I noticed the paint job at the bottom back of the cab wasn't quite right (no one would normally notice unless you're really looking at it). There was no fuss or hassle and their response was pretty much "yup, that definitely isn't right. Let us know when is convenient for you for us to fix it". So while having it fixed perfect from the start would have been great, knowing how they handle things when there is a problem is something I highly value. This is the only place I will bring my Honda to. I got quotes from another repair shot which was twice as high as Pierre's. The staff was friendly worked with me to find a used part instead of a new part. They have been in business since the 60's so you know they are experts in car repair. Five stars for Pierre's. Six for Evelyne. This is the ONLY place I will EVER go for auto body work within 100 miles of San Francisco. And thanks to a delightful combination of break-in's on back alleys in SOMA, cell-phone texters rear-ending me on 101 after I just landed at SFO 20 minutes earlier from a 6 AM flight out of LAX, and my Texan neighbor "accidentally" losing control of the winch for his speed boat which slid right into my car (conveniently two weeks after we beat the crap out of his Rangers in the World Series....I'm not pointing fingers...I'm just making an innocent observation)...I'm at Pierre's a few times a year. They even replaced all the upholstery and nearly every panel in my car and it STILL looks great. (you don't want to know what necessitated THAT repair job). My car looks like new every time. They even washed it again after it rained on it one day when I was later to pick it up. Evelyne is amazing and if you take your car anywhere but Pierre's, it's be like pulling starting pitcher Russ Ortiz for setup man Felix Rodriguez and giving him the game ball with out in the bottom of the seventh inning of Game Six of the World Series or owning anything resembling a Rally Monkey. read more

With Evelyne working under her shop for now 29 years she knew exactly what to do, what to say, to make sure everything is cleared with my insurance and that my car is ready for repairs. Probably the fastest, friendliest, and best experience I've ever had with an auto body repair show. Unfortunately, I've been in a half dozen fender benders (none my fault) and out of all the auto body shops I've had experiences with, I can honestly say that this was my best experience ever. From start to finish, Evelyne was there to make sure I got all the things that I needed. She gave me the estimate, gave me an approximate time of when my car was going to be done, and made sure I was all squared away with the rental car folks. Yes, Evelyne is friendly, efficient, and, at times, intense but it's all in an effort to make sure that your car is taken care of. I've been to other auto body shops that are much larger and fancier (Sterling Auto Body), but Pierre's definitely won in my opinion. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my car to Pierre's again if/when I need some work done to my car (though, heaven forbid it be another accident). Since it is a shop located in the city, you may have to wait a few minutes to get them to shuffle the cars around but hey, Arizmendi is next door and Social Pub is across the street. So no worries there. On a side note, I thought I had problems with my wipers after I got my car back and before I could even say another word, I was told to bring it in and that they would take a look at it. Of course, once I got there, it wasn't doing what I told them over the phone it was doing. Either way, Pierre's staff were just genuinely happy that my car was in working order even if it was just me imagining things. It was great to know that they really stand by their work either way. Also, they polished my very fogged-up headlamps and now they look like they just came out of the showroom. And they did it as a courtesy since I was getting other work done. Somebody hit my car and scratched my car from the driver's side door all the way to the back bumpers. I was given few choices of auto body shops to choose from and I chose Pierre's Auto Body. I live around the area and saw that this place is always busy so I thought they are busy for a reason. And let me tell you I was not wrong. From the start to end, Evelyne was the person who took care of me from the paperworks and updating me. When I walked in to drop off my car, Evelyne and the other lady, who I didn't get the chance of getting the name, were delightful. Making sure everything went well, and having a conversation with me which made me feel more at ease. As I dropped off my car, rental company, Hertz, dropped off my car for me and the fixing began. Every other day or so, Evelyne gave me a call to update me on the status. But when I wasn't able to come to the phone, she left me a text message with the update and always finished the text with I hope you have a great day, or I will be contacting you by this day with another update. The whole process was easy and knowing what was happening to my car at which day, it made me trust them even more. The day I picked up my car, it was perfect. They cleaned the inside of my car, washed the outside of my car, and the repair was flawless. At first I was going to give Pierre's Auto Body of 5, but then it went down to a 4, and now a 3. Don't get me wrong, the customer service was exceptional! They were very personal, and a pleasure to do business with. I took my 2008 Ford Ranger here after getting t boned on the freeway. Everything went smoothly with my insurance, and I didn't have to pay a dime. The quote said 9 business days, it took 7. So that was great. Then I went to pick up my truck. When I got in, I noticed this stick like thing in the front seat, but assumed it was some piece they must have replaced and forgot to throw away. Then I got home and realized it was the piece that goes in between the window and the inside of the door (you know, that velvety part that run across the length of the window at the bottom). So I went back in and they put it back. But I don't get it, the lady who works there pulled my truck up when I came to get it, so why didn't she see that part of the car that obviously wasn't put back where it should have been??? Also, my truck was cleaner, but my back window is covered in white stuff, and the inside of my car has a dusty film of white over everything. They didn't clean it too well, but then again, they aren't a car wash, just a body shop. Hopefully I won't have any more damage to my car, so I won't have to worry about getting body work done in San Francisco again. read more

This being a safety issue I immediately went back and they told me it was a mistake they forgot to connect the wires. I was like okay great, 4 days later i called about the estimate, she forgot to email it to me the day I dropped off my car. I am nervous at this point cause now I feel I can't trust this place due to lack of communication. I called them for updates on when I can pick up my car they kept telling me the "next day". Everytime I call they always say we will call and update you. Cut to end of Nov never got a follow up call & have no idea when I will get my car back. The dog literally scratched up the entire door. I mean maybe 50 nail scratches. It was awful and devastating. I took the car in and they buffed them out in an hour. I was so impressed.
