I just got my car back. Everything about my experience was FANTASTIC with G&C in Larkfield. It was estimated that they would have my car back in 8 days and it took two days. They gave for my AAA-insured 2005 Honda CR-V a $6,200 estimate (it was somewhat sloppily sawed off.) Since car was worth $6000-$5800 (probably higher today), AAA said total it and surrender car for $5800 or take $3500 (+/-)and keep car. Kept car, took payment...and had repaired satisfactorily for $1400 elsewhere (at a Marin County muffler shop).The inept (lazy?) claim handler was in COLORADO,not local; didn't want any other bids once she had G&C's, even when my multiple call-around showed nobody charging even half the G&C bid. (Car passed smog test no problem shortly after work was done.) read more

Sometimes my beautiful Flex gets little dings here and there, but this time a shattered my drivers side window as I closed the door onto my umbrella! We have taken our cars to Lazzini's Auto Body off Petaluma Hill Rd. several times but haven't been on my own. Boy, are these guys accommodating! I had minor damage but needed 3 days in shop. They gave me a great lead on a reasonably priced rental near their shop and drove me there and provided transportation to the rental dealer. The location is crowded (lots of cars) but the service is great. See Ricky, the manager. He was so good he even fixed the loose fitting passenger door at no cost. So I'll share experience which unfortunately shows the morals of this company. My car was in an accident and just been in their shop for repairs a couple weeks prior to this incident you're about to read. I was told that since my car being months old and a 2021 that not all the parts of my repair came in for the repair of my vehicle from the crash. Then they instructed me that when my insurance company asks me if the repairs are complete to say "Yes, they are done" and that my parts are just on the way but I'd be able to have my car back while we waited, the claim was done. My car was released to me without having to pay a deductible at that time. About a week later they called me and said that was an error and asked if I'd pay. I explained yes I'd gladly pay but when the repairs were fully completed. Payment for services are due upon completion. The representative from the company told me that was ok and that they should have the missing parts in soon. Unfortunately my car ended up needing new repairs after a glass company damaged my dash replacing the windshield. The damage happened while it was being repaired at GnC but wasn't their fault. The other company repaired my vehicle while it was there to save time. Luckily they said they would be able to complete the other repair from the previous claim at the same time it was on getting the dash fixed. Perfect! My wife is getting sick of having to take the car into places and the amount of appointments we've had to deal with is getting to be a bit much. So we planned the repair date for when the parts came in so it could all be done. I was pretty excited to hear how fast they got the repair done after dropping it off in the morning. Later that day I was told me my car was ready for pick up and that both repairs had been finished. Then more bad news, I was told that while replacing the dash they cracked another part it and unfortunately that replacement for what they broke was going to take some time to get in and said I could come pick up my car if I paid the deposit. I expressed my frustration with the situation and I said I would pay for services once they were completed and not before. They weren't completed so I told him I didn't want my car returned to me til my repairs were done. He was frustrated by the conversation but understood why after my previous experiences with this overall repair. At first he wasn't sure what to do so I told him we should reach out to Geico for there advice on the situation. He said he would contact them and call me back. He later called me saying he talked to the Geico rep, Kia for the part and said he got our rental car extended and would have the new part for what they broke in on Monday and would have my car back to me Tuesday maybe sooner, but didn't want to promise anything. The very next day, I was sent a text message and then received a phone call. I was explained that my vehicle was fully repaired with all the parts that were missing from the previous claim and the damaged they had caused we're done. Here's the text message for reference. "Hello, this is John @ G&C. The last parts for you car came in and everything is all done for this claim and the last one that you came in for, Your car will be ready for pick up @ 4pm. does that work with your schedule." Awesome! All done! I thanked him for handling the situation quickly despite the error. I even said that I would be happy to use their services again if ever needed. Now with all of this going on I didn't really explain to my wife about the situation with the additional damages. This hasn't been pleasant for her to deal with so I didn't want to add to her stress. So she had no idea what to look for when picking up the vehicle today. When she brought the car home after paying what was owed. I went and inspected the vehicle to find the broken panel my wife wasn't aware of was repaired with duct tape! It's not fixed at all! I was intentionally lied too so they could turn in my insurance claim and get paid even though the repairs are not completed. That's bad business! read more

I had originally taken my vehicle to Blake's on Dutton Ave. for an appraisal for a minor fender bender and was completely turned off by the lack of professionalism (https://tinyurl.com/y7zmer2d). A friend had recommended Larkfield Body and Paint after recently getting her car repaired. I came in for an appraisal and the process was simple and straightforward. The cost of repair was inline with Blake's. I was able to get an appointment a week and a half out. I took my car in on a Tuesday and it was ready by Thursday evening. I wasn't able to pick it up until the following week as I was out of town for work and they were more than understanding and accommodating. The staff was friendly, the service was great, and unlike Blake's the staff treated each other and their customers with respect. I don't know if it's possible, but my bumper looks better now than it did before my accident. I'd highly recommend Larkfield. I hope to never have to come back, but I now know where I'll be taking my vehicle in the unfortunate event someone hits me again. read more

I drop my car off first thing on a Friday morning and the lady who was helping me with starting of the paperwork was smiling, cheerful and very informative with the whole insurance, rental and the repair process that made the start of my morning a lot less stressful then I thought it would be. The lady was on my side to make sure I had a vehicle in a reasonable time that what was agreed when Hertz Rental left the wrong rental car at the auto body shop for me. I took my car into G and C autobody at Larkfield today because I could not open my door due to someone hitting the front quarter panel. Jason had a look at it (lovely guy) and summoned Mandy to fix it. She fixed it in a couple of minutes, Jason touched up some minor scrapes with some paint and then Mandy fixed the side of the bumper which was pulling away from the car. The best auto place I've ever been. I dropped by so they could take a look and get an estimate together for me. Mitch, the gentleman who stared to help me out noticed the bird poo on car. (Nasty tree over my parking spot, all the birds hang out on this tree) he mentioned how it can eat the paint and asked if he could wash all of it off my car for me. Of course, I accepted and he took my car across the lot for a few minutes. He brought it back looking like it had gone through a car wash! Very nice of him to do and for free. I got the estimate and made an appointment for after I spoke with my insurance company. I went to drop off my car for the repair, and they already had the rental car parked up front, started and nice and warm when I arrived. Temps at the time were 40/50's, so it was nice to jump into a nice warm car. After the repairs were done, I picked up my car in BETTER condition than dropping it off. Not only did they vacuum my floors, they dusted the dashboard, and the repair itself looked flawless. Dealing with autobody shops is never enjoyable. I choose to go to Larkfield because they are a small/local business that i'm told are own by nice people. I went here 10 years ago and I remember the service being friendlier and more prompt. This time I had difficulty connecting with the woman in charge of overseeing my repairs, sometimes I would have to call multiple times/leave multiple messages. My repairs kept getting delayed because of insurance which I know isn't their fault but is sitll rather annoying. THe work on the car itself was great you can't even tell the car was almost totalled, however there was greasy handprints on the interior of the car as well as dirty foot prints on the driver side. read more

I have used this shop twice in the last 10 years. In 2001 I brought in a 1 year old Suburban for some body and paint work on the right rear quarter panel. 10 years later that quarter panel paint still looks new! (The rest of the vehicle is showing the normal age of a 10 year old car that is always parked in the sun!) I don't think I can criticize them for using better paint than the original can I? A few years later I brought in a 2006 Lexus for some body and paint work. Five years later I can't even remember where the repair was because it is flawless. I brought the same 2006 Lexus in yesterday after my wife's minor fender bender. The owner himself did a thorough inspection and gave me an estimate. I brought my Mercedes in to have the front fender and door panel repaired after a hit and run. I was in a time crunch because we were planning to leave for a cruise in a week and had planned to drive the car to Southern California. Not only were they able to complete the repairs on time but the quality of the work done exceeded my expectations. My 2005 Mercedes is dark blue-one of the hardest paint colors to match especially when over time cars fade in color. But the guys at Larkfield perfectly matched the color. I highly recommend them.
