I'm not going to lie, I was not impressed with G & C. To be fair, I was told that they're very hit or miss - sometimes their service is out of the park, and sometimes they fall flat. My experience was unfortunately the later. I was hit and had some rear corner panel damage. Their time estimate to repair my car was extended, and extended, and extended, oh, and extended...I understand, especially with auto body work, that new damage can be unexpected and elongate the time needed to repair a vehicle. What frustrated me with G & C was their inability to manage customer expectations, and failure to communicate. Don't tell me that my car will be ready Monday, then Tuesday, then Wednesday, then Thursday-Friday, and then never call me. I shouldn't have to call every other day inquiring if I can pick up my car because I was told it would be finished. I will not be back to G & C, nor will my friends or family continue to refer their auto body shop. Getting in an accident is stressful enough, working with an auto body shop shouldn't be. read more

My first visit was such a success that when my car was hit in a parking lot, I simply called my carrier and advised them I was taking it to G & C, which is one of their approved shops. I called to get an inspection and had concerns about taking car back and forth from the inspection, back to my house, then right back to be repaired. Instead of answering my question directly on weather or not they could just hold while parts were ordered, they went into a long lecture about my insurance company penalizing me (why?), then they said that parts need to be ordered (yes, understood, but answer the question), etc etc. then they cold transferred me to the "manager", and he answered and said "hello". Super confused about having my simple question answered, the "manager" suggested I have it towed. Still unclear about whether or not he thinks I should have it towed to the original inspection, or if he meant from the inspection back to my home, from my home back to the shop to be repaired, or all three, and with still no answer on whether or not I can leave it there while they order parts. He then proceeded to sense my frustration on not having this very simple question answered with a "no it cannot stay here" or "yes it can be here between the inspection and when we get started", he told me that he only wants customers who will be happy at the end of the repairs to come to his shop, so I should look else where for repairs. Never do business with this company. My families experience was so bad, that I find myself now writing my first business review. I hope this helps people in the future. This nightmare began in April 2011. My wife was in an accident in our Toyota Sequoia. The entire right side of the vehicle was damaged. Our insurance company sent us to G & C. The repairs initially took weeks, which is where we began to get a funny feeling about this company. They were always wishy-washy on the phone, etc. Our vehicle was returned to us in what we thought (hoped) was pre accident condition, which should be the mission of any auto body shop. It was not. Unfortunately, it took a pair of tires completely shredding out for us to figure out something was wrong. I took the car in to another repair shop to get a standard alignment. I was then asked by this shop "was this vehicle in an accident?" The read end of the vehicle (not body work) was shot and caused the tires to quickly wear unevenly on the inside. At this point, I took the car back to G&C to have it fixed right. They were apologetic and put my wife and three kids into their fleet Toyota Corolla that had a warning light on. It was explained to me by Jeff that this was a factory recall. G&C had my car for several more weeks, and were not seemingly really in a hurry to fix it. They would promise it would be done and then ask for more time. The vehicle was finally returned a couple days ago and we had more problems. First, the car was bone dry on gas. We returned their car topped off as any good person would do. Our car was not left at the shop without gas in it. Secondly, when my wife drove the car home, she heard a scraping noise. She returned the car and was told that it was the brake pads and it needed a brake job. Why would someone return a car to a mom and her three kids in an obviously dangerous condition? I test drove the car, and not only is there a scraping sound, but you can feel a thumping in your feet when you are driving, NOT stopping. At this point we decided the vehicle was too dangerous to drive. Called G&C last night and they told me to bring it back in. We will not. My only regret is that G&C gets paid while they never completed the repairs the way they should have. As I was writing this, I was called by Sean the owner. He said he was upset with the performance of his company and wants to make it right, but honestly my confidence in this company is shot. I will not put my family in a vehicle that has been in their doors. read more

Without an appointment, I walked into G and C to have some moldings installed on my pickup. I arrived at 12pm for an estimate. I figured they would get me in the next week. Not so, the staff agreed to immediately install the moldings. They gave me a ride home and were very easy to deal with. I hope I don't get in an accident, but I will use them if I do. I was very disappointed considering how highly G&C is spoken about on the radio. I went to get an estimate for my side driver mirror for my Mazda that needed to be fixed. Shannon was the guy that was helping me and told me that he placed the order for the mirror and that he would call me the following week when it came in. A week went by and I did not receive a call, so I called G&C and was told that the part was never placed. I got a hold of Shannon the next day and he stated how "it seems that everyone was getting in to accidents that week" and that he would try to get the part in as soon as possible and for me to arrange time the following week to go in since it would most likely be in by then. Well, 2 weeks went by and I did not receive a single call. It had been over a month, so I gave up. I went to the Larkfield Autobody where they gave me an estimate that was HALF the price and replaced my mirror all within one week! You should AT THE LEAST communicate with your customers. If you guys are performing at a high volume and don't have time to fit everyone in to the schedule, then do not tell your customers that you can assist them. read more

Super great place to work with, they kept me updated on my car and helped me with insurance. I wasn't really sure where to start so they walked me through all the steps of contacting insurance. Dropped my car off on a Monday and had it back by Thursday good as new! Got my rental car through them which was a Toyota Corolla which was clean and not too shabby! read more

I was driving around without a front end on my car for FAR TOO LONG so i decided to take it into G&C Auto Body in Windsor. I had already bought the aftermarket parts from a third party and that seemed to be no issue for the shop. Then after finding out that the parts I had bought were cracked, I thought I would have to buy a whole new bumper when instead, Jeff, helped me out and fixed the part at no extra charge. I dropped my car off for the weekend and as the new week rung in, so did my nice, sparkly, new car!! (or so it felt BRAND NEW!!) I was very pleased with my experience and all of the kind people who worked at G&C and the very comfy couch and awesome magazines they have in the lobby! Will definitely be going back if I ever need another repair just as I will refer anyone who needs work done on their vehicle. read more

The clear coat on the hood of my car had begun to fail after having had my car worked on at G&C 7 years earlier. I brought it in to the Windsor G&C to have it looked at. Jeff right away said, yes, the clear coat had failed and that they would take care of it. Horrible customer service! It's been two months since they took our money and yet the work has still not been completed. They ordered the wrong part 5 times. They did not even bother to keep in contact with us to keep us updated. I've had to call them each time. When I expressed my concern on their customer service the gentleman immediately took offense and said he did not want to continue with service because he was afraid of us being a difficult customer and a bad rating. Unbelievable!!! I asked to speak to his superior but he said he was not available and would not give me his phone number. What is that about??!! God only knows how long it's going to take for us to get our money back. I will never use this company and I DO NOT recommend you do either. read more

Second time customer, but first was at least 15 years ago in Santa Rosa. Had a good experience then, but my recent experience in Windsor was amazing. They did not have my car ready when it was supposed to be - more work needed than originally thought. Josh apologized profusely and then held out keys. To his personal car. A very nice car. That was above and beyond and just downright kind. He made it possible for me to get to work without having to find a ride. When my car was hit in Sept 2017, I was extremely happy with the work that G&C did. Unfortunately, I ended up having to need their services once more 6 months later. Their staff is very attentive and I stayed in close communication with the technician, Aaron, who kept a me updated every step of the way in the repairs. At one point, my car was supposed to be done, but Josh Crozart personally inspected my car and noticed some imperfections in the paint. They didn't want to turn it over to me until it was perfect. In the meantime, they were very gracious to let me drive their loaner for no charge, due to the extra time. All in all, I got my car back in better condition than what it was before the accident. Apparently it takes 4 weeks to replace a bumper and a rim on a car. Its been 6 months since they fixed the bumper and there is already condensation inside the break light they said they fixed. the backseat was also not rescued to the vehicle and lifted up when pulling my backpack off the floor... I don't know what do they mean G&C but it looks like you just Go & Come with no help . I would like to request to pay the attention to the management if you would like to serve better in your facilities not to make frustrating to the new client. Did you know most of the clients look new and the writer needs to help them solving the problem and making them happy. Do you know your clients are mostly there after the accident and they are in a stress and I was stressed while someone hit my new car . Instead of helping me with his ideas the writer 1st asked me ,Are you going to repair your car here before he goes to check my car and writing the estimate! It's not his business I'm going just for the estimate but he is not a true writer while his estimate was not a fact and he didn't check my car well and he kept my car unlocked the whole night while I saw the car unlocked in his lot the next morning. After that I went to the shop next day and I was in touch with insurance and they were ok to repair the car right away but he is telling he needs to get the green light from the insurance company and its about a week to wait. Execuse me , don't give me rumors while you have a long waiting to repair the vehicle and blamed to the insurance company? Just be fair and treat the people as u would like to be treated but you got 2 stars due to the polite lady in the front desk and another helpful Spanish guy in the front desk!!! So when i dropped my truck off I was very specific when I told them not to get overspray all over my truck. Now i see they did a crap job on taping off 90 percent of my truck. Clear overspray all over the front fender! How the hell are u gonna be that sloppy when the small repair was on the opposite rear corner? And now that its FINALLY done raining, I see it looks like they had a 12 year old practice with the buffer on my entire driver side of the truck bed. The entire thing is full of swirls from cab to tail light. I called and told them and he tried to blame me for hand washing my truck with a mitt. Lol. Sorry dude!! I detail my truck and my classic cars all the time. Never EVER has a wash mitt made my paint look like shit. I probablly wont take it back to them because obviously they dont know how to run a buffer and i dont have time to waste! Ive gone there 3 times with different cars. The other one was white. Easy to hide shit. Now im gonna pay to have someone buff my black truck and do it right and pay to clay bar the clear overspray off as well!Wont to back to gnc. read more

I have only been to G&C once, but I was very happy with the service, the professionalism and the courtesy of all the employees. And, I think that the manager walking around, introducing herself, chatting, making sure the customers are satisfied, speaks volumes for their business. If you need to get your car fixed go here! Shannon is absolutely the best with his people skills and car repair abilities. My car could have came back totaled and i would have been fine with it because he made the experience so great. He worked with my very difficult insurance and stopped them from totaling out my car AND took a percentage off of my deductible for agreeing to keep certain parts on the car. I will definitely take my car and future cars back here every time. It took the full two weeks to fix but it came out better than expected. Im so incredibly happy with the results. Very disappointing service, if you can call it service. Had to wait 3 days to get an appointment for an estimate. After a week of waiting for the estimate I called Jeff Fouts who looked at the car. Of course he was clueless as to who I was, "Oh yeah" he says "we were inundated with tow ins and insurance work, which takes precedence over your estimate" (I am paying out of pocket). A professional and competent person in this line of work should be able to provide an estimate in a few hours. I guess my cash job isn't what their looking for. They should have just told me that up front and I wouldn't have wasted my time. Will not be returning if and when I ever have an insurance claim... Or cash job. read more
