Due to circumstances beyond our control, we had the opportunity to experience Carreras Auto Body first hand. although they're not on the responsible party's preferred auto body shop list, they were on that of our insurance company and we're glad they were. Dan handled everything very professionally, and took on the load of dealing with the responsible partys insurance company noted for being non responsive and dragging their feet. (Not totally surprising since insurance companies are always reluctant to pay claims, especially if they're not for someone insured by them). Dan ended up having to re-order the door three times in order to get one that was suitable for the car and not just rusted out. They did a beautiful job on the car not only replacing the two doors (initially resisted by the aforementioned insurance company) but taking a couple of scratches that were beyond the insured damage area included in the estimate and total reimbursed by the insurance. I should add that the finished product is top notch. The paint and clearcoat matched perfectly with the nearby metal work, and the fitting of the doors perfectl. If I'm in the unfortunate position in the future to need Auto Body work services, Carreras would be my first choice. read more

Amazing experience from beginning to end. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Carreras Auto Body. I drove to Sonoma from Los Angeles and had a nasty encounter with a tree on a narrow road in the pitch dark. I didn't notice how serious the damage was until I dropped it off and Alex said he couldn't believe I was driving this car. I told him the car told me it was ok to drive (it did- it wasn't). When I got to Carrera, Alex took care of everything including the insurance company and was even patient with my weekly calls from Los Angeles. My car was ready on the estimated day (!), so I was able to book a flight in advance, with no worry of delay. (It was a three week repair job). The car is a black Audi Allroad and I had totally destroyed the front bumper, side panel, headlight and worse - the suspension. They did a fantastic paint job and repair and it looks and drives beautifully. I picked it up, got in the car and drove 433 miles back to Los Angeles, it handled beautifully all the way. I AM HERE TO SHOUT HOW AMAZING THIS PLACE AND ITS PEOPLE ARE!!!! My 75 year old mother's 2005 Honda Civic was hit by another driver and she was about to give up after getting no help from her AAA or the other driver's Farmer's Ins. They probably were super excited when they saw her age and her accent and literally treated her like crap. Their shop told her it was not worth fixing but would be happy to charge close to $7000 to do it. Another shop we went quoted a little less, $5700. The insurance offered $2500 and the most uncaring service with a 10 day deadline to accept or live them alone, by the tone of the adjusters voice. Then we found Carreras!!! Let me tell you...they drove the car, said it was more than worth fixing it, which we already knew...it's a freaking Honda!!!! They gave her a quote below $2500. They picked up her car in Santa Rosa. They dropped off her car after fixing it. My mom's car literally went to a spa treatment and my mom enjoyed time at home with no worries. Have you ever heard of that in this day and age? WHOO HOO! I have a new "favorite" business! Someone tried to park my Honda in the house by driving through the wall. Dan and his crew found a leak in my front glass window that several other body shops (including my Volvo dealership) had denied existed. Carreras auto body listened to my concerns and evidence that I thought there was a leak and patiently completed test after test, finally discovering the area of leakage. They repaired the issue efficiently and expertly. In addition I ordered a few after-market upgrades for my interior and which arrived quickly and were reasonably priced. Throughout the process, which took several days total, Dan worked with my schedule and even provided me with a fancy Mercedes Benz loaner car on the days I couldn't go without transportation. Dan and the whole team at Carreras are great. My son was rear ended in my wife's car on a Sunday. He called me and on the way I called Carreras. I was at the accident site for 20 minutes when the tow service arrived. The women who had hit him could not believe it since they had called 20 minutes before me and there was still no sign of their tow service even when I left 30 minutes later. We live in Sebastopol, and the next morning a loaner car was delivered to our home. It was a clean, new car and was more then we could have hoped for. Dan at Carreras handled the negotiations with the insurance companies and stood his ground when they requested he use inferior parts or processes. Carrera's was a class act from start to finish. Thumbs up on all counts!. My insurance company (AAA) sat on the claim for almost 2 weeks while apparently deciding whether or not to "total" the car. (2016 Fiat 500x). Alex at Carrera's was right on top of it! Calling AAA daily to encourage their decision-making. Alex had advised me that the repair was completely doable and that the result would restore my car back to an "as good as new" condition. He was 100% correct! My best friends son side swiped my car!! No you didnt read it on the cover of the National Enquirer, it happend to me right before Christmas. Her insurance took care of everything, "sigh of relief" I chose Carreras Autobody to do the repairs. I like to use local businesses, and they had done some work on a previous car, and it seemed like good work. I decided to wait until after the holidays to take it in, and last Monday was the lucky day. I was to meet someone at the shop at 7:15, where they would provide me with a loaner car and off I would go to work. Well, no one showed up until 7:30, but it was a Monday so the benefit of the doubt was given. They took my car, gave me a 2008 loaner car and off I went. They estimated about a week and I receieved a call on Thursday that it would be ready Friday evening. I went to pick it up on Friday. We settled up the bill and I waited as they finished up and brought it around front. OMG! I couldnt believe it was the same car, they did an outstanding job of repairing the passanger side, and even took out some dents not releated to the side swipe. They did excellent on the paint and restriping the side of the car. They also completely cleaned, detailed my car. I was so happy, I thought I would cry....(well, this girl does love her Mustang!!) I would say that they are a shop that does quality work, and I for one can appreciate that! read more

The other day I had a flat tire and I was stuck parked on Mill Street right across from Carreras Autobody, waiting for a tow. Dan Vassallo came over to me and asked if I needed help. I got rear ended and the insurance company of the guy at fault said G&C in Santa Rosa was their go to shop. I saw their two star average on yelp and said thanks but no thanks. I found Carrera's, which is like 4 blocks from my house (not to mention across the street from Enterprise Rent-A-Car). I dropped my car off at Carrera's and Alex walked me over to Enterprise to help me move all my stuff from my wrecked car to the rental. He kept me up to date on the process by calling me every few days. I got my car back in excellent condition in exactly the time estimated in the initial quote. They also fixed my front bumper for free (it was a bit dislodged) and gave me some extra body paint to touch up my car for no extra charge. What could have been a major hassle because of this accident ended up as just a minor inconvenience. Definitely five stars. read more
