Now that I've had some time to settled into my new place and reflect on this experience I wanted to share how about it was. If you are looking for movers that are prompt and respectful G&G movers are not the ones for you. Luis(owner) is clueless and Michelle(manager) is rude. Worse customer service and experience ever. I've never left a review for anything (good or bad) but this is how bad my experience was. July 5th I called and made a reservation for my move Saturday august 7th 8am. Paid my deposit in full. July 29th a week before my move, I call just to confirm again. I spoke to Michelle and she basically told me I dont have a reservation on file, after sharing my invoice she then tells me of someone put it for the wrong date (Friday august 6th at 8am).I was understanding, no big deal I can do Friday. She then tells me oh the time Friday august 6th 8am is not available. Imagine my confusion since I was just told I was booked for that day . She then calls me back to let me know They have a slot open for Saturday august 7th at 12pm. Me trying to be understanding AGAIN I said sure I'll take it. August 7th comes around and 12pm, 1pm comes and goes and no word from the movers. I call and get Michelle again and she informs need my time is really a fine frame from 12-4pm. That they would show up anytime between then. I was annoyed since august at 12 wasn't even my original booking but I understood things happen. She told me the movers would get to me no later than 4pm I said okay. 3:45pm rolls around again no word from Michelle or the movers. So I call her obviously upset and she has the audacity to tell me "well our first client had more stuff then they told us so we are still working, things happen". Im like ?????????? I booked a whole service with you and paid. At the end of that all you tell me they won't be able to get to me until 6pm. Yup 6pm a whole 2hrs late after my initial anticipated time. Obviously annoyed I kept it cool because I'm at their mercy. I had to move out that day. Fast forward the movers including the owner (Luis) show up at 6pm and move my things. TOOK THESE MEN 3hrs (9pm). Mind you I have a one bedroom and my things were boxed up and organized ready to go. once they finish he shows me the bill. I ask him how he planned on compensating me for being 2hrs late. He said well I can take off 30mins. I inform him about my initial reservation getting messed up by Michelle and how I was told they would for sure get there by 4pm but they came at 6. After some back and forth he only agreed to discount me for 1hr even though then showed up 2hrs later and inconvenienced my whole day, my initial reservation was for 8am. He also told me I don't have to worry about booking with them again. I also informed him on Michelle's behavior. Poor customer service, every time I called to check on ETA it was as if I'm annoying her and she was completely unapologetic about the mistake that was their fault to begin with. On top of all that I was up until 5am unpacking everything. I worked the next day. Since my original reservation was for 8am I was expecting to be done way earlier than that. Because of that I missed work on Monday. Since I spent all day with the move I was not able to get internet and cable services set up in the apartment in time. Spent all day waiting on these people. Completely ruined my day plans and caused to have a panic attack because I was sure they were going to show up. In conclusion: This company has terrible business practices, don't value your time your respect service agreements. They were also rude. I honestly shouldn't have paid them at all but I'm a young lady so during the confrontation about payment things got heated and I just wanted them to get out of my apartment. If anybody is a lawyer or has some advice on how I can get my money back pls contact me. They completely violated our agreement and I'm thinking of suing to get my money back. Luis did an excellent job of keeping me inform with an arrival window. They arrived timely and ready to work. I did not have to do anything. They were careful with my furniture moving it out of storage to my home. Good attitude, didn't waste time and they were serious about what they were doing. I like that they were patient as we figured out where to set furniture in the bedroom. It took moving it a couple of times before we got it right. So, you have to move. I know what you're thinking: "well, this is going to suck." I am here to tell you friend, it doesn't have to. We hired G&G Movers after sifting through many recommendations on Nextdoor, and they were INCREDIBLE. Michelle, a supervisor, was on-site for the entire experience, reached out to us before hand to confirm the details, and was super flexible when our moving date got pushed back the day before we were originally supposed to move. Our team of 3 moved a 2400 sq for house info 3 storage units in 10 hours. They were swift, efficient, and SUPER CAREFUL with all of our belongings which included a lot of antiques and furniture. Luis and his crew were the best! From the time they showed up (on time), during and after they were done, they made sure to use moving blankets, wrap, etc to ensure they took care of my items. Even though they were careful/caution with my items, they were so fast and with a great attitude especially with it being so hot out!!! Do Not Use this company unless you have money to spare! Movers showed up just a little late, no big deal. Only one spoke English, the move took a VERY LONG TIME, with three guys. My apartment was a very small two bedroom and had elevators. They were VERY slow, I moved only 15 minutes away and the process took all day and COST A FORTUNE!!! I gave two stars because they did wrap tv's and furniture. Despite that, my sofa got chipped and the leg on my dresser was damaged. read more

They were able to move everything so quickly and didn't waste time. Our time was valued and respected. (Even loading up a flight of The team wrapped our couches, wood table and bed frames so there would be no damages. We were hesitant if movers would have a big enough truck for our 3 bedroom house to a five bedroom and they did- their truck is HUGE! Used G&G for a second time, this time for a much bigger move out to the suburbs. They had the best price of everyone I researched and have a proven history of doing well. They showed up a little bit early and communicated the whole time. Michelle, Luís, and the two gentlemen with them were so efficient and polite. They never complained or damaged any of our stuff/walls- even going up stairs and around tight corners. Everything was wrapped and they were very proactive in helping us tape last minute boxes. I really liked how communicative George was from the office. A simple call is all it took to arrange a furniture delivery from my hotel in Oklahoma on a Saturday. The delivery was fast and efficient. I used them twice to move my entire house. Unfortunately they messed up both times. The first time they did not pack an entire cabinet from the bathroom that had a lot of items that had to be replaced. The second time they were loaded boxes into the truck and apparently left some of them on the curb with recycled boxes and the items were thrown away with the trash! Luis, Michelle and Eduardo were excellent, extremely professional, respectful and extremely polite. I had never used a mover before but I just had some surgery so I couldn't do it. Man am I glad!! These guys make me wish I used them long before. Michelle wouldn't even let me touch a thing. Kept telling me they got it, you don't want to redo the surgery. They even called the night before to discuss the weather (day after t giving storms) and called me when they were on their way. Very punctual and worked so fast while taking care not to damage anything. Every time I asked a question it was "no problem". In response to the businesses response.. I never said "The movers before did it" because it's brand new furniture that was delivered and perfectly new. And whom ever made this response is lying because I never had that conversation with anyone lol. No one ever called me about my stuff being damaged because it wasn't. Whom ever just made this response was not at my home so how could you call me a lier? I have no reason to lie.. I am stating facts and my truth to help the next person that tries to deal with these horrible movers. They would rather lie and point fingers at the customer than just make it right. And this is why this is a terrible business to work with. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BUSINESS Where do I begin? The lady over the phone who is in charge of booking is very rude. She is not about customer service nor does she care about the customer. The day of delivery they were 2 1/2 hours late. Only one of the three men I hired actually put forth effort to work and move quickly. The other two men every time I went downstairs were taking their sweet time and hanging in the back of the truck. One was even trying to holler at one of my neighbors who was not interested. it was very ghetto and unprofessional. I expressed to them how important my mirror was and that it was fragile one of the men grabbed my mirror without Care and crumbled the top in his hand and broke my mirror. One of the guys pleaded with me that he could fix it but he drilled nails into the wood just making it worse. My entertainment system is brand new and was not damaged before this move and they damaged it. I moved from an apartment to a home I just finished building and one of the men walked in red dirt and put foot prints on my brand new carpet up the stairs and made a trail. I spent the first night in my brand new home cleaning off my carpet train to get it not to stain. I contacted them after and asked if they were insured and if there was anything they could do about my damaged furniture and carpet. She told me my furniture is no longer worth what I bought it for and I would not get anything for it. She also said the guys told her they did not damage it therefore she doesn't believe it's their fault. Despite me calling with a good attitude because I understand things happen. Her lack of professionalism and empathy baffled me. She said she would speak with the manager and call me back it's been four days and I have not heard nothing from this company. Luis and his team were very professional; communication was fluent and they were very responsive; they reconfirmed their arrival time 24 hrs prior and arrived 10 min earlier than scheduled. This was our first time using movers, so I don't know how the typical experience is, but I can say that there's no way it could be better than G&G. They were flexible with our delayed closing, showed up as scheduled, and got everything moved quickly, professionally, and with no damage at all. Even the gigantic desk made it up the stairway with 3 bends without a single nick to the walls or rails. We only had planned on them taking our large items, and that we would bring the boxes ourselves because the allotted time was tight, but they got nearly everything AND finished early. read more

A joke how they treat potential customers! I talked to Luis and requested a quote. Asked him to include a discount in his quote if it was possible since I was moving within the same property just another building. He said he would look into possible discount. He sent me an email without a subject, quoting the same price he did on the phone. I thanked him for the quote, then asked if he could give me a discount if I paid in cash (like many companies do) and mentioned that I was interested in the time slot he had indicated. I got this reply back - "I can't give you discount. If you like there are many other's cheap companies. But please don't make me loose my time trying to get discount in our rates that are already lower. I'm sorry have a good day Ash!" Way to go. read more

I hired G&G to move my mother-in-law from one assisted living facility to another. They arrived early and were extremely efficient and careful. We had to make an extra stop to swap out some furniture and they didn't mind at all, and they were very patient and kind with my elderly mother-in-law. They exceeded expectations. They were on time, quick, and friendly. Overall, great experience and I will be using them again in the future. Worth every penny!!! I moved on Sunday and although it was extra for A Sunday move, the crew that showed up worked their ass off every single minute. From the time they showed up (early) they moved non stop in the heat without a break. They broke down al of my beds and even put them up without a single problem. They took my TVs off the wall too in about 3 minutes and wrapped them up completely. I could go on and on, but the point is these guys were amazing and moved my 3 bedroom house 8 miles away in 5.5 hours and nothing broke. Super professional and down to earth too. G&G deserve more than the 5 stars allowed. Not only did they come earlier than the appt time (a plus for me) but they were friendly and in the year of COVID they came in wearing mask. The guys didn't complain about the extra stop at my storage, they didn't complain about the 3 flights of stairs with my million and one boxes, AND they didn't complain about the sofa situation. They were very fast and efficient no time wasted in any location. One gentleman after any question or response I gave his reply was always "Ok, cool." That truly put me at ease through the process because we all know how stressful moving can be. The guys were friendly and very efficient with moving our furniture. Everything was handled carefully, and nothing was damaged. We had some heavy furniture, and they were able to move it with no problem. These guys had all the proper tools and materials. They were very kind.
