Two parents looking for a nice night out without the kiddos thought let's grab a few drinks and shoot some pool. Nice atmosphere and the food is decent. However, there's something funky happening at the bar. Not only did we wait 10-15 minutes for someone to approach our table for a drink order. We ordered cheese sticks and wings to coat our stomachs. Great food. Wings are great and cheese sticks are homemade , however after drinking (2)Wrigley Sidecars, (3) shots of congac and I am still sober enough to write this review. Not to mention play 3 rounds of pool. My partner enjoyed (2) Old Fashion (1) Modelo (1) shot of whiskey and neither of us are even buzzed. And as you can see the tip is automatically added so servers don't feel the need to provide quality experience. Not the place to go for drinks just pool. $$WASTED

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. We walked into this establishment on a Saturday night wanting a few beers and some time at a pool table. We were fine paying the out outrageously expensive fees that it required to play pool. When we were getting ready to leave (30 minutes later MAX), we were accused of stealing a cue ball. First of all.. what would I want a cue ball for? Second of all.. where in the world would I put said cue ball? They asked to check our purses and then called the police. The police told us that they do this all the time and to just pay our tabs and leave. One of the five of us got his tab and it was $83! On his tab was a bucket of beer, 3 coors lights, and three 'premium' shots. This was very strange because we do not drink coors and did not order premium shots. Long story not so short, don't go here. They will call the cops and bend you over.

In the sea of high end and upscale places G-Cue is a great place to unwind. The beer selection is fairly limited and didn't contain anything I'd normally drink outside of a few Lagunitas. I didn't try the food nor any of the mixed drinks. The pool tables (which let's face it are the reason you're there) are well maintained. The cost isn't cheap (I believe 18 per hour + 2 per pool cue rental) but the reality is that keeping that much square footage in such a hot market isn't cheap. There is a jukebox playing music and last night whomever was loading it up was playing all my favorites. It felt very much like the grown up version of the shit hole smokey dive of a pool hall where I spent my youth.

I hadn't even heard of this bar before spotting it while sitting in a cafe across the street with friends. We decided to stop in for a drink right before heading to a concert a block away. Let me tell you, I'm glad we decided to pop in. My drink was awesome and the bar tender was super nice. I ordered a cocktail named "the loop" and it did looped me! Lol. It had just the right amount of kick and l was delightfully satisfied. They have a full bar and you can order food. Also they have plenty of billiards tables if you're into that. A nice spacious joint that me and my friends plan to visit again real soon.

They charge to use their bad cue sticks, and way over priced for pool. I would stay clear and try else where. Definitely never going back.

We were there early in the day so it wasn't very busy, but there's virtual golf, a shuffleboard table, a bar and probably more stuff that we didn't see. In one hour we fit in two games with four people pretty much perfectly (we picked up the pace in round 2). The digital scorekeeping is very helpful! Watch out for the ball return: it spat out the ball onto the floor about half the time, so mind your feet! It was very hot in the place despite it not being terribly warm outside; we were all sweating! Overall though, I was thrilled to have an opportunity to go bowling again since I haven't been able to in quite a while.

We happened to be there on a Sunday at 9pm, where there was a discount for $25/hour. We stayed until closing at 11pm and it was fun. The system allows you to explore different courses, practice on the driving range, record yourself to watch your form, and good and drinks. The staff were friendly, considering it's Chicago. It also want busy. I believe there were 11 bays, each with their own club set. The downside was probably the tech didn't always capture angles and whatnot correctly so there were a few glitches on occasion. We also didn't have every club in the golf bag they provided so it would be nice to have that organized. It's also on the pricey end. Overall, it was our first time doing the experience and we enjoyed it. There seems to be other locations with a different atmosphere perhaps we can check out on another visit. Happy exploring! It was over March Madness, so there were always men or women's games on the televisions. Besides being a happening place, there was also decent food. Upon our check-in, we even received complimentary bubbles as a welcome drink in the Game Room. For one of our dinners, we decided to enjoy some Game Room food while I taught my friend how to play chess. We ordered a delicious dish of WSC Cheese Sticks (made with Wisconsin brick cheese and marinara). We then each ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap, consisting of crispy chicken, romaine lettuce, parmigiano Reggiano, and house chips. We both upgraded our chips to French fries. I thought the food was good (not excellent but not bland like other reviews stated). The best part of the experience is the vibe in the space. There were also protests in the area earlier in the day so many of the non-hotel guests in the Game Room were from that (as we could tell from the signs they had with them). Even if you go to the Game Room website (https://www.gameroomchi.com), you're in for some fun just getting into the website. On their website are upcoming events (like karaoke), details on booking private events, menus, and more. They serve their all day menu from 11 AM to close daily. Their hours are Monday through Thursday from 11 AM to 11 PM, Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 1 AM (kitchen closes at 11 PM), and Sunday from 11 AM to 9 PM. There is also Happy Hour on weekdays from 3 PM to 5 PM, which include $10 wings, Old Style combos, and half off pitchers. While there were more exciting places to be in Chicago, for a hotel guest or someone in the area, this was a fun place to hang out, grab a bite, play some board games, and watch some games on TV. Certainly recommend it!

Unfortunately Machine was not open, which is downstairs from this place, so we went here. Usually there is a bouncer outside, covering both places, but no one was at the door so me and The Queen walked upstairs. The bouncer was upstairs and saw us come in, so he asked for ID. He explained that everyone gets card before they come in, which is not a issue for me. The overall vibe, for me, was definitely a frat hangout vibe. There are arcade games all over the place and cutesy names for beers and cocktails, like the Froot Loops (vodka, coriander honey, oat milk, shochu, saline, milk carton, and froot loops). Man I do not do cocktails and this is the reason why. There is too much going on in that glass for me to deal with. Prices for cocktails range from $14-$15. BFF #1 got a vodka soda for $13, but looking at the size of the glass, it was on the small side. BFF #1 said it was on the weak side. I was happy to hear that there was prosecco, so I got that. The Doctor showed up and got a beer. The selection of beers was limited from what I could see on the wall, maybe there was a list someone else behind the bar. The bartender was a really sweet, she was all smiles and kept calling me baby, which was so funny to me. I tipped her well because she was great on them pours of prosecco. We did not do food as we were heading to Club Lago for dinner and I didn't realize that they had food until I checked into Yelp and saw the online menu. The Queen actually went to a DJ set here with Roosevelt, I believe, and said it was a good event. Not a place I would normally hang out in, but I can see the appeal for folks in their 20s as I would definitely say outside of The Queen, the three of us were the oldest folks in there. Lots of people taking Instagram photos and posing or making short videos with those ring lights. I imagine it can get super loud when it is busy, but that is a vibe for some folks. I would say if that is your thing, this is the place for you.
