We hired GN Rentals for our Anand Karaj at the Fremont Gurdwara. It was really hard to get in contact with them or even get a timely response but so many people had referred them so we decided to just go with their company. Everything seemed ok once we signed the contract and paid them until the week of the wedding. My parents had separately asked them for a quote for our home events we'd be doing and needed a tent and some rentals. They sent over the quote but it was too high and could not get a response from him so they decided to pass on them and never signed a contract nor paid them a deposit. Two days before our wedding, they showed up at my parents house unannounced claiming we "viewed the quote" so that meant we agreed to do business with them. I will emphasize, nowhere did my parents sign any sort of contract nor pay them any type of deposit. After trying to explain this to Kamal, the head guy, he threatened to cancel our separate contract with them for our Gurdwara wedding, unless my parents paid him $500+ additional dollars for the time it took his people to get to my parents house. While trying to understand his rationale behind this, he hung up on my parents. Our coordinator later called him back saying we found other rental companies who had availability so we would like to cancel with him and he then changed his tune and said "I am a business, I will not require them to pay the additional money and will go ahead and do the Gurdwara wedding." I don't think it's ethical to try to milk extra money out of customers who already signed and paid you in full. I will not be using his services again. read more

They tell you one price at the initial meeting and then at drop off they upcharge the living hell out of you and then when you try to communicate with you they ignore you. Sucks for this business because I have a business that would require the things they offer but I do not like working with people who simply cannot communicate. read more

We rented a few tables and chairs for our backyard engagement party. Their prices are super affordable, especially if you're doing a small event. When we initially inquired about rates, they were super communicative. My parents even stopped by their warehouse to scope out their very extensive collection of items. Once we placed our order, however, we were a little underwhelmed by the communication. My mom had to follow up multiple times to get confirmations/information about our order. They also delivered our stuff a day early--what if my parents hadn't been at home to receive it? We also had to remind them to come pick the stuff back up the next day. Many of their linens had permanent, unsightly stains on them when we received them. Luckily, they provided extras, but we ended up having just the right amount since half of them had stains and were unusable. In addition, the chairs were not super clean either (a couple had ant infestations and were unusable), so my mom and I had to wipe them down right before the event. Since this was our first time doing party rentals, we weren't sure if this quality is standard, but given their high ratings, we were a little disappointed to receive a few unsightly items. read more

We rented chairs from them for our wedding ceremony in San Jose. GN Event Rental was very easy to work with. They promptly arrived for set up and pick up as scheduled (I've rented from other companies that are normally late or give you a 3 hour window, but not a problem with GN Event Rental). We rented their standard folding chairs and standard 6 foot tables. Their rental prices/setup fees were the best pricing we could find in the area. The condition of the chairs seemed fine as well (although, didn't really see it on the wedding day!). If you go to their location you can see different set ups with their props/equipment. They don't hustle you for their chairs or tables back! They work around YOUR schedule (so even if it's a day or so late, they didn't even charge extra for that!) so we made sure we gave em a nice tip! The table and chairs we rented were not fancy and it wasn't in brand new or pristine conditions, but it was clean and did it what it was suppose to and what we needed them there for (casual backyard brunch). Plus, I had pretty table cloth and tons of bouquets of flower were there to spruce things up. We employed GN rental for the chairs for our Wedding Ceremony. They had the best prices by far, and were completely professional. We initially had a concern for the timing of the drop off and pickup of the chairs, since San Jose Municipal garden, where our ceremony was held, were strict with when we could and couldn't be there. However, this concern was unfounded as GN delivered and picked up on time. There was a small hiccup where GN initially set up our chairs in the wrong section of the Rose Garden, however, my coordinator gave them a call and they immediately came back and took down all the chairs and moved them to the correct location. I hosted a friend's wedding in my backyard. A few days before her wedding it was raining like crazy so to be safe she ordered a tent from G.N. Event Rental. From what I heard from her, their service was fantastic and she was thrilled - which was important. However... I noticed that the tent she got was not in the best condition. There were small holes all over the top of the tent. Luckily it didn't rain on her wedding day so it wasn't a big deal. The tent left my yard in OK condition, but the barrels of water used to secure the tent were dumped out on my the lawn, making it soggy and marsh-like for a couple days. I wasn't really prepared for that. Also, I noticed that one of our bushes was a bit messed up after they pulled up all the poles and everything from the ground. To some degree I know some of this was unavoidable, but especially after seeing the condition the bush was left in I wish they would've consulted me or shown a bit more care with where they were placing the poles and barrels. read more
