I stopped by this place today, finally! My husband is not a sushi fan but I went with a friend. We ordered a few rolls. Everything tasted fresh and really good. They were super nice and it wasn't too busy so the host let us pick the table we wanted. Their menu has a lot more choices than I thought they would including salads and burgers. It was kind of dark and moody inside which was cool with the bar with lots of neon signs and plenty of cocktail options. We didn't try any drinks but saw a few we'd like to try next time. I see this place received many mixed reviews, so Ill just share my experience. A friend and I dropped in for lunch and did not have long till we had to return to a conference. I felt the teriyaki grilled steak I ordered was just what I wanted with great flavor and price. My friend had a Sushi plate and there was a lot of food and taste for the price. Food came pretty fast considering they were really busy. Atmosphere, well....defintely had the kind of vibe where I would have enjoyed it more with a glass or two of wine, but couldn't since I was working. The manager was refusing to refund the difference, tried to get us to repay for our meal and then attempt to do a dispute through the bank and maybe get our money back. Tried to tell us he couldn't refund us, and when I asked to speak to the owner or their contact information he also refused. This place has consistently good sushi, unlike otner places in town where it can be hit or miss. The prices are also the best in town they always prepare the sushi rice how it's supposed to be for sushi-where as other places have rolled their sushi with dinner rice-if you know what I mean you know what I mean lol they also are always busy so I know their fish is fresh and it has always been great! Regardless of a nationwide staffing shortage, they have a solid core staff that has stuck through the hard Covid times and it's nice to see familiar friendly faces! Even when it's packed and they are understaffed they hit the ground running-and make it work. They have consistent hours too and stay open later than most places which is really a bonus for restaurants in this little town. Lastly, they have the BEST fries and ranch dressing! Their burgers are great and have some other non-sushi dinner items for kids and adults who don't like sushi. Then after still no check in from server, daughter reached out to hostess for a box and check. She was snide. "we're busy" we literally just want to leave, still with no check in from server. Went out to an early dinner here with friends. Restaurant was nearly empty around 4pm. They have a decent menu with variety. We got a couple sushi rolls and the bacon Mac n cheese, which were very good. The deep fried veggie platter was also delicious! Service definitely needs some major improvements as our waiter was non existent. We all sat around with empty waters and he never came back to check on us or even bring us the bill. We waited long enough and decided to stand up at the front and hope someone would notice. I asked that a mask be put on and the manager complied. I received a snarky attitude from one of the waitresses and as soon as I left, the masks were removed from the staff.
