I came here while on tour with my band, When We Met. This venue takes good care of their artists! I had a delicious pulled pork sandwich and a couple whiskey sodas during our hang time. Great sound person, fun stage and nice people. All around good vibes, we will definitely come back!! Thank you The Sound Lounge for keeping live music ALIVE!

Just the place downtown Grants Pass needed! The new Sound Lounge has great cocktails, kombucha and a delicious full menu featuring local meats from Cartwright's and the best home-made fry sauce EVER - all served until closing. No wimpy bar menu here! Live music or DJ on Friday and Saturday nights and Burlesque Bingo on the last Thursday of the month. I loved my vodka tonic with a splash of Dana's homemade marionberry syrup. The large back patio has a nice covered area and misters for those hot summer days. Pool tables and lottery make this a great spot for the entire crew!

They have great live music and most are original artist not cover bands which I appreciate. Best music venue in southern oregon!

7$ drinks served in a plastic cup that would maybe be suitable for a child's birthday party. No thanks

Stumbled upon this spot while wandering around after checking into the hotel next door…read more We grabbed a beer from the bar and settled onto one of the patios to take in the scenery. Ended up striking up a conversation with one of the employees, Blade, who was fantastic. We mentioned how much we admired the potted floral arrangements lining the patio, every detail felt so intentional and looked absolutely beautiful. Blade gave credit to one of the owners, Elvie Cartwright. Well Elvie, if you see this: you have an incredible green thumb and an artist's eye for beauty. Kudos. And excellent call on hiring wonderful staff like Blade.

Our seating was in the bar downstairs which was very busy and noisy which was ok for 2 of us unfortunately 2 of our party were deaf and that was an issue for visiting. Our dinners: clam linguine, small clams in butter wine sauce was good, lots of broth and noodles could have had more clams. Dinner salads were great, big, crisp and fresh. Hubby had the meatballs with whipped potatoes, not a big meal but very tasty. I often buy ribeye steaks at the Cartwright's market and they are wonderful. Cartwright's owns Taprock restaurant so I figured that's the steak they'd serve but no it was thin and tough like a top round steak, it was cooked med rare that I ordered. It wasn't cheap, won't order again. Margaritas were very good. Service was excellent and there was lots of hired help in all areas. Our waitress was attentive, personable and we enjoyed her service.

Decent steak dinner. I ordered the oysters Rockefeller…read moreappetizer special and the value was definitely there with the four large oysters and creamy herbed topping; the hollandaise sauce, however, either curdled and went back to separated butter or was very very plain. I asked whether a mistake was made and butter was served instead, and turned out the hollandaise was just very subtle that day. I ordered the 16 oz Delmonico cut and the server recommended that one to be cooked to medium rare temp as opposed to rare because of how fatty the cut is and I'm glad I listened to Marci. There are no-cost toppings you can add and I selected the blue cheese compounded butter one and I'm glad I did. The special side that day was mashed red potatoes and I enjoyed how generous the serving was but I found them under seasoned. The steak was good. Maybe $50 good; I'd definitely melt but another cut next time that works well with the rare temp. The tiramisu dessert was divine and the texture and taste of the mascarpone mousse made up for the bland hollandaise from earlier. I ordered a side Ceasar and it was alright; really wish there was an option to add a steak onto the Ceasar salad entrée.

As a family, we have been going to 151 for tens of years. Last night My wife and I met our friends…read morefor our yearly anniversary dinner. We all knew what we wanted for dinner as we had been going there so often. We ordered Prime rib baked potato with soup Halibut rice with soup, My wife ordered the special crab stuffed Shrimp gratin potato's with salad, I had the filet medium [not filet as i like it red in the middle] gratin potato's. All the dinners came cold with the exception of the baked potato. I ask the waitress if my dinner was wrong as the meat has a very small steak , about 2 inch's long, 1 inch wide and 3/4 inch thick, I had to ask her twice as she said yes the first time, the second question was, is this a $60 baseball filet. She said yes. I tried the potato's "cold", everyone said their food was cold. We tried to eat the cold food but it had had turned the night into a flop. The waitress came back to the table while I was in the restroom asking if we were taking the leftovers home, everyone agreed NO! She came back to the table after I returned, to say that she was crediting the meals, but when she returned the bills were wrong for both families. In the end the waitress removed only my diet Coke from the bill and that was it. I don't know what has happened to our beloved 151, but I can say My family will not be returning until there are some serious changes there.

Just got back from an early weekday dinner at Jimmy's -- great time to go!…read moreWe've been wanting to check this out for a while now since the new ownership came in earlier this year, and we weren't disappointed! Super friendly and accomodating service, with the whole outdoor dining area now spanking clean, with hanging pots of flowers, too. The food was also great! Hubby had one of Jimmy's classic burgers, and I had a Nathan's hot dog with all of the condiments. With the latter, our server graciously cut the dog into thirds because I knew I wouldn't be able to eat the entire dog. Also, the quality of the meat could be tasted in both orders. We also shared a milkshake-of-the-month--blueberry, from a local farm--and hubby added an order of onion rings. I tried the pickle fries a few weeks ago and they were flavorful, perfectly fried, and not greasy at all. The only reason I've given Jimmy's four stars instead of five is that I'd LOVE to have my hot dog bun warmed, just like it's done in NYC and Chicago. The bun wasn't cold, but room temperature. Hopefully this is an easy fix and is doable. However, we will DEFINITELY be back! :)

Well I ordered entirely to much food... no small portions here…read more Jimmy's deluxe burger with no tomato. Beef is fresh and flavorful, bun soft but didn't fall apart. Fries are the right thickness with a crispy seasoned exterior, fluffy inside. They give you a spoon with the shake and it stands upright, they're THICK!! The kicker?? Zucchini fries. More like zucchini logs. The batter is perfection. It's not thin or thick but it doesn't fall off or apart with each bite and you can actually bite through the whole thing. Go eat at Jimmy's, you won't be disappointed. Not to mention the staff is super friendly.
