The system? Not good. Technology, legal documents, communications? Not good. The actual doctors and…read morenurses and physical therapists? They did seem good, and I genuinely liked most of them. The hospital is in a nice location and we appreciated having sunlight and views. But the hospital is bad with communicating with each other and with us family members, bad with paperwork and legal bureaucracy, bad with computers. I watched my brother writhing in pain for 45 minutes while a nurse couldn't get the computer to allow the next dose of pain meds to come through. Eventually a pharmacy worker came up and they stood around the computer going, "Huh! That's interesting. Never seen that before." I had to file my power of attorney documents multiple times. "Maybe you should file it again with us in person," one guy said. I had already filed it, in person, at their front desk, and even had the receipt for it. The real hands-on medical staff was focused on my brother's basic health needs to some degree, and I am thankful for the medical professionals who saved his life. The hospital SYSTEM only cared about getting my brother out of his hospital bed as soon as possible, into some other kind of care facility, even though he'd caught a new bacterial infection while in their hospital.

My daughter had a long labor and the ladies here were all so caring, patient and helpful. After she gave birth, they took care of my daughter and baby to make sure everything was good and normal. The lactation nurse was very patient and helpful as well. Overall, I felt the staff at this hospital made our visit very welcoming and stress free.

I wanted to talk to the receptionist who struck me as genuinely hearing me. I spoke with her, she listened and was paying attention to my words. I felt heard and seen. Until.... Until the nasty receptionist who was passive aggressive, rude, disrespectful earlier on the phone to me, and not just to me but also to my melanin blessed sweet girl. This receptionist interrupted my conversation, stood up, leaned into our conversation and tried to take it over. She got louder and louder dominating our conversation. I immediately told her I was talking to the other lady because my interaction with her was so bad earlier. She persisted! At this point I told her to stop! yet she persisted with her aggressive assault on my conversation. I was done being nice, done listening to her hijack my conversation, and finally told her to shut her mouth. She spun out! and launched a verbal tirade at me. I told her to shut her mouth a few times as a man from across the room, behind me starts yelling at me. He continues to yell at me, from across the room. The nasty receptionist was still blathering at me so I couldn't hear what he was saying. I assumed he was some weird Ken, and tried to focus on my conversation. Then I look and see a guy in sweats (who was actually security) yelling at me to get out. I was mortified he was speaking to me. He continued to yell at me in front of a room with at least 15 people telling me I was disrespectful and needed to get out. Never ever in my 56 years have I ever been asked to leave somewhere, I've NEVER had an interaction with any security or police. I'm going to leave my background and backstory out because it only matters to me, but I will say I have a unique perspective that most do not on public safety, public relations, security and law, and what happened tonight was more than bad. My kids later let me know they were talking about me, and my girl in the back. I am 56, grey hair and look professional even when casual. I look like anyone's grandma. So I must assume this is how everyone is treated. Having a few bad actors in clinic is a bad look. I will be taking my time preparing a formal complaint against the receptionist and the security guard, and I will give this issue all of my energy until I feel this is corrected. A receptionist who is so arrogant and entitled to interrupt and take over the other receptionist conversation with me has no respect for her coworkers or clients. And a security guard who escalated a situation rather than de-escalating it, used verbal intimidation and verbally kicked me out is a liability. Not only have I NEVER experienced something like this ever in my life, I have never been ganged up on by healthcare staff. I am interested in seeing how they are going to try and spin this on their end. This was egregious. And a HUGE mistake on them. I will never return.

One time the call was ringing but just when I thought I got ahold of someone the call was disconnected. I tried again, and it went to voicemail and this was at 10:30 am on a Monday. I want to say that, for me, McKenzie-Willamette hospital is the best hospital in the area. I have…read morehad to go to the hospital 3 times for emergency and the wait was less than 1/2 hour in all 3 cases. I was taken care of and the problem I had was taken care of by the doctors and nurses. The last few months I was at the hospital due to blocked arteries which caused me to have a triple bypass, heart shocked twice, an ablation, and finally a pacemaker implanted. After my bypass I ended up in the Cardiac Care Unit where I was taken care of by the most professional caring doctors and nurses. It was like my comfort and recovery were the most important task they had. It is no wonder that they and the doctors and nurses at the McKenzie Heart Group are a level 3 star for patient care and outcomes. My understanding is that is the highest level attainable and there are only 3 in all of Oregon. Two in Portland and one at McKenzie-Willamette hospital with the McKenzie Heart group. You couldn't do any better than them for your heart care especially if you need bypass surgery.

Came in, and sat down and did the paperwork. From entering the facility to seeing a MD was less than 15 mins. The front desk staff, the RN I did background and assessments with, and the MD were wonderful. Left with some antibiotics, and a follow up appointment with a specialist to fix the toenail. Definitely would recommend if you have a NON-LIFE THREATENING issue going on. The place is bright, clean, easy to park, and very easy to get it.

I've had a nagging bad cough hanging on for far too long and finally decided to do something about…read moreit. Not having established a primary care doc in the area yet since moving to Eugene last year, I went to this location a few days ago. It's super convenient for me as it's a few minutes walk from my office. The interior is bright and clean. The staff seemed genuinely happy and helpful. I was seen by Dr. Ken...something...and he was pleasant, knowledgeable and didn't rush me (which sometimes you feel like they are pushing you out the door when you go to a walk-in clinic). The check-in process took about 10 minutes since I was a new patient--the normal info giving, check insurance and sign the waivers steps. I only had to wait in the lobby a few minutes before being called back by a nurse. Once in the exam room, I did feel like the wait for the Dr. to come in seemed long (~10 minutes) because I was the very first and, presumably, only patient in the clinic that morning--came in at 8:05am and it opens at 8am. However, not a major issue for me. I'm sorry to see that Mike N. felt so poorly about his experience here. I would recommend this clinic for any basic health needs when you are unable to see your regular doctor or it's outside of normal hours.

Despite me updating it. Then they took the total charge for the visit out of my account because they billed the wrong insurance. Have literally been trying to get this taken care of for two weeks now and the money still hasn't been returned to me. The second time I went they sent the prescription to the wrong pharmacy, despite me giving them my current pharmacy information. The people working there are nice but the billing mistake cost me a lot of money and it's been incredibly stressful to try and get this resolved. To be clear - I called the urgent care directly and was told that they billed the wrong insurance. My OLD insurance and were in the process of re-billing my actual insurance. This review isn't because I don't understand the billing process - it's because even, almost a month after that conversation - I still have not been able to get a refund from them :) They charged $250 because of their billing the wrong insurance and even though they have re-billed my proper insurance, I still have not gotten the money back.

The nurses and MA were all helpful despite the long wait. But recognizing that this is an urgent care and a walk in clinic, that's expected. Con: Despite having a wait area the space of about 15' x 9', patients were not required to wear a mask even if they're coughing and clearly showing signs of being infectious to others in that tight space. Being that this is a health facility. policy should reflect the wellbeing of everyone. There were elderlies, people with compromised immune system and children which makes mask requirement evermore important.

My daughter developed a fever whilst we're home visiting. She was so miserable, her fever just…read morewasn't moving, and then she started showing other symptoms like having a runny nose and a bit of cough, plus she started becoming pretty hoarse. My sister is a nurse so I had her check her a few times for wheezing and whatnot, and possibly to put me at ease she suggested I take her to urgent care. This one was closest. One of the things it has going for it is that it's not Riverbend, because the ER there is insane. We were in and out of here within about an hour. The receptionist wasn't the friendliest but the other staff we interacted with were. While I appreciate that it was relatively quick for us to be seen and leave--which I especially appreciated because trying to keep a toddler happy in a place like that isn't always easy--it was what happened after my visit that left me a little unsure about the place. My child had a COVID-flu-RSV test and they called back with the results after we left. Unfortunately my babe had RSV (thank god she had a vaccine for it as soon as she was eligible because I can't imagine her having this without it, but that's another story). I had questions about how to best care for her during her illness and the person I spoke with couldn't answer my questions and was instead asking whomever was sitting with her at the desk. It did not at all inspire confidence, and I called my daughter's pediatrician to get advice I felt I could trust.
