Myself, Mom and my partner were in town for Mother's Day and thought a trip up the mountain would be nice. We rode the tram up with plans to eat at the restaurant. The wait was about 30 minutes so we grabbed some drinks from the bar and took in the sun outside. It's a spectacular view from the top. It's been so long since I came up here and don't even remember if there was a restaurant before. It was the 60th anniversary of the tram so the entire restaurant was set up for casual dining. Once seated, we were bummed we didn't get a window. BUT, there was a table by the window available. I was told it was for somebody before us. Huh? Where are they? I hate to be that person, but I don't think that was the case. I kept my eye on that table and was going to cause a scene, but my partner told me to let it go. Anyway, the food was delicious. My partner had a side salad and a ceviche dish. She loved it. I had a side of tempura veggies (I loved tempura veggies and the mushroom was chefs kiss), some Santa Fe spring rolls. Mom had a burger and fries. It was a good meal and a nice area to chill. The bar was packed with hikers who were most likely post-hike and filling up on snacks and beer. We took the tram up, which was really fun! Did a little hike up top then decided to eat before heading back down. There was a bit wait for a table. Option to sit in the little entry hallway or outside, but risk being missed called in. Phone service isn't reliable so if you Wander too far you may miss your table call. Once we were in, we got a table in the corner of the room with glass windows so it was a great view. Food was good. Husband got red chile bbq glazed salmon and I got mediterranean sandwich with hummus. Both were good and filled our stomachs after a nice little hike. A little pricey, but to be expected as I'm sure all the food is hard to travel up there to the resturant. Overall great experience. We are out of owners and we're already up there for the tram ride so why not! read more

I originally would have written a 1 star review but the waitress and bartender were spectacular, so I increase my rating. I came to this restaurant as a solo traveler at 5:30 for a 6:30 reservation as they had recommended. I checked in and went to the bar. The front desk said they would find me there when my table was ready which would be around 6:15. At 6:30, I watched another couple who arrived on the tram after me who also had a 6:30 reservation get seated before me. So, I go up to the front desk and they said oh, we are ready for you! But they never came to the bar to look for me. I was brought to a second waiting area. In this waiting area, I waited 30 minutes and watched other couples who came after me get seated before me. In fact, everyone got seated before me and I was left to wait for a table even though I was in the secondary waiting area before everyone else. This left me feeling very disrespected because I knew I had the same reservation time as people who came after me. The food was good and the waitress and bartender were excellent. This is a good tourist spot. But if you want to feel the respect and courtesy that you should have with a fine dining restaurant, this is not the place. read more

Tonight we took the tram to the top of Sandia Peak. It was sunlight going up and dark going down. I had a very tasty double smash burger with hickory smoked bacon, Swiss cheese, and caramelized onions. It came with a heaping order is sweet potato French fries and lettuce, tomato, and red onion slice on the side to add. My friend has a piece of salmon with a tasty BBQ glaze. It was over a bed of mixed veggies and rice. I just had ice tea. We both enjoyed our dinner, coming back down the tram in pitch dark with the twinkling city light below. Going to Ten 3 is an experience. It's like going to Disney. You don't go there for just the food - but that would be plenty. Let's start at the bottom because this IS an experience. We easily found a parking spot and walked over and stood in the line for the tram. But we wanted to make sure we wouldn't be standing in line too long for our reservation. We ended up checking in across the corridor and they checked us in over there and let us know we would be told when we could go up as the next group on the tram. Oh, it was pouring rain. By the time we got on the tram it had stopped raining. About halfway up to the top the tram stopped. Apparently the other car was experiencing some wind and when one car stops, they both stop. About 30 seconds later we were back under way. About 15 feet from the dock at the top, the wind really started to blow. The tram stopped, the fog surrounded us and it started to rain. Got some cool shots but people were starting to get concerned. We may have been there for 5 minutes which I'm sure felt much longer. The rain stopped and the fog cleared. It took a little longer for the wind to stop blowing before they would let us dock and exit the car. Still a little rain. By the time we got to the restaurant we were right on time. We parked over an hour before our reservation. By the time we sat down the skies partially cleared and the sun was setting. To say that it looked magical still doesn't adequately describe that scene. We got the menus and our waiter, Jennifer answered all of our questions about the menu items. Lots of very new takes on many different meals. It was difficult to decide. That's okay / get the bread and some wine and continue to look and checkout your neighbors. To say we got the NY Strip and the fish is just pedantic. These meals are so special. It is obvious that a lot of thought and care is put into creating the recipe and preparing the actual meal. Every bite was absolutely delicious. It wasn't cheap but it wasn't just food. The roasted garlic green chili hummus with pita bread was great, they were also able to refill the pita since there was so much dip. I enjoyed the quality of the cappuccino. It is interesting that from reading another review about not feeling welcomed is the same vibe we got. Came on Labor Day and sat at the bar. The servers at the bar seemed apprehensivqe to wait on until we made uncomfortable eye contact with them. Asked for the Bison burger and they brought us a double cheeseburger. Went for lunch and added our name to the wait list...we were a group of 6 given a 30-45 min wait time frame....totally fine, we walked around but then decided we wanted to order a drink while we wait. They only allow a certain amount of people in at a time for to go orders...food orders and drink orders are done in the same spot; at the time it was by the 2 bartenders that were also running the full bar! It led to an incredibly slow experience with a very long line of people waiting in the hallways to get permission to step in and order. We finally got our table - we were a group of 6 - this really isn't a place for big groups, just small inside. Our waiter did excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. Service was wonderful. The view is unbeatable. The food is good. It wasn't anything that would blow your socks off. I ordered the ten 3 margarita, shrimp egg rolls, and the apple cider zeppoles for dessert. Ten 3 margarita: it's a solid spicy margarita. I wanted something unique that I'd never had before. But it tastes like a standard spicy margarita to me even though they use their house made green chili pineapple syrup. Can't say this was anything special. Shrimp eggrolls: I don't see this on the current menu any longer. The shrimp tasted fresh. The pickled purple lettuce below it had a good balance to it. Everything tasted balanced. But very par. Not upset about it but also didn't blow me away. The apple cider zeppoles were the best. They look dense but they're not! They're actually really light and perfectly fried. We had a date night at Ten 3 the other night! Let me tell you how fantastic the entire experience was.... The tram ride up to the restaurant was breathtaking! The views, all around were gorgeous. In the fine dining restaurant, it was elegant with huge glass windows surrounding the establishment, so anywhere you sat the view was amazing. We ordered 2 dirty martinis and some bread to start with! Three different types of bread made in house with some olive oil and a whipped butter. It was a celebration of our 6 year anniversary so of course we had to get steaks! The filet minion melted in your mouth and was cooked to perfection. While visiting Albuquerque, we had Ten 3 bookmarked and couldn't wait to try it out. I wanted to come here as soon as we got off the tram ride. Upon walking in, I was impressed by the beautiful floor to ceiling windows with 360 view! They weren't very busy so I asked the hostess for a window seat. She took my number and I asked if we could wait at the bar and grab a drink. She said "Sure!" So we did. This is when our experience fell flat! We sat at the bar and waited, waited, waited. No acknowledgement at all from the bartender. We sat for a good ten minutes, awkwardly while she chatted with the couple next to us. It wasn't until another customer sat on my side that she finally gave us a menu. I asked my hubby if it was me or did he feel like she doesn't like us? He agreed and he noticed too how she was friendly and helpful to others. Well, mind you, ten minutes had already gone by and we ordered our drinks and ordered two entrees. I let her know when she gave us our drinks that we were waiting for a window seat and she told us that she would have to close our tab and we would have to order from the server at our table. She apologized and said she should've mentioned that to us in the beginning. I didn't want no trouble, I apologized and told her it's my fault and we'll just stay and eat at the bar. Hindsight, should've closed out our tab! Our food come, hubs got the Munoz Hero w/fries and I got the Chopped salad. The menu says it's a chopped iceberg wedge and it was a quarter piece of an iceberg. Anyways, we sat there and she never refilled our waters or asked if our food was ok? But made sure to ask people around us if they were good. If you don't take that as a clear sign that she DGAF, you'd have to be comatose! It was so awkward and uncomfortable. Our high of being at 10K feet above sea level was quickly deflated! I hate giving negative reviews but this was not acceptable. After riding up Sandia Peak Tramway I had lunch. They have casual dining Mon, closed Tues-Wed, Thur-Sun and fine dining Thur-Mon from 430pm-730pm. Fine dining requires reservations. Of course you have to purchase a Tramway ticket online to reach the restaurant. No roads from summit to east side & shear rock on west side. Nice menu with plenty of food & drink choices. I had a Athletic Run Wild IPA non-alcoholic beer, the Faulty Loop Wrap of chicken, cheddar cheese and bacon wrapped in a spinach tortilla and french fries. Very good. read more

I was lucky enough to be taken here for Valentine's Day and it was such a special dinner! This restaurant is on top of the sandias, so you are required to take the tram up which is a delight. We went to the fancy side of Ten 3, they have a casual dinning side with bar seating. The fancy side is reservation only and does have a dress code. That's the only hard part is being super cold in a dress on top of the mountain but it's worth it! The food was sooooo excellent and the service was top tier. Amazing views and warm greetings from the chilly outdoors. Rode the tram up to the top and had an Amazing operator narrator Jake. There is a formal section of the restaurant which needs reservations and a casual area around the bar which is first come first serve. We managed to get up to the top just in time for sunset in January which is around 5:15 pm. Be careful with the drinks, one is more than enough when you're at 10,000 ft. Get some food if you imbibe. We ordered the nacho trio, which was pretty good although the chips seemed like they were just Tostitos and not made from a local chip maker. The salsa, cheese sauce, and guacamole were good but could have used larger portions (or fewer chips). We also tried the tempura veggies. Our experience with these were a bit too salty. There was an oyster mushroom in the plate that was rather chewy, not sure if it's supposed to be that chewy. read more

Casual dinner review here. I went up before to check out the hiking, and checked out this place. It's not a big hike from the sandia crest parking area. Beautiful easy pathway, and worth it. TEN3 is one of those places that can be a really nice date night too, or like what we did. Easy stroll to enjoy some food. Our server was Brittany, and she was awesome. Super nice and kind, maybe alittle bit crazy, but aren't we all. her words :) We had our 4 month old, strapped her on my chest for the hike. SHe behaved well thank god. The chip trio, amazing. Chips are delicious, The green chili queso is awesome. It was delicious. We shared a sandia pink vodka drink, and it hit our top 3 drinks that we have had. It did not beat out the vodka drink we had in Switzerland. We did have the turkey sandwich with fries. The queso dip on that was amazing, and the fries were pretty good. We went to Ten 3 for our anniversary. Sadly (and outside of their control), our anniversary falls on Labor Day weekend AND there was an electrical storm on the top of the mountain. Soooooo..... we waited 90 minutes to go up on the Tram and an equivalent wait to go back down. Oof, right? The three hour buffers aside, the meal was pretty special. My issues were the table placement (right in front of the entry into the kitchen, so we got all of the noise and traffic for the entire restaurant), the so-so fried mushrooms side (lukewarm with so much breading it negated any taste from the mushrooms themselves) and the brisk pacing (we sat later than all of our surrounding tables and got our entrees a brisk 15 minutes later so we were in and out in under an hour). We also got a happy birthday card instead of a happy anniversary card, but it seemed to be on par with the wackiness of the evening. Our waiter was wonderful and he apologized for the incorrect card and the super-fast arrival of the entrees. We appreciated his guidance in ordering our entrees (Cornish Game Hen and a Pork Tenderloin) and the dessert. He also executed the fire on our baked Alaska with aplomb. So. When the reservation says "business casual" and you dress "business casual" that also for the weather a 20 year old can turn you away for not being formal enough "that's too sporty, our dress code is very strict". But you can have the consolation prize of dining in the casual seating and they "won't penalize you and charge you the cancellation fee". Wow. Thanks. Casual dining is so loud you can't hear the people at your table, and the menu is not at all the same as you were eager for. It's mostly burgers and wraps, stuff you could get at any mediocre diner. The chip trio was literally a couple of tablespoons of each and not spectacular in any way. The fam got burgers which were flat, over done, and the toppings (which are all extra) were completely wrong. I didn't even take a pic they looked so boring. The poke somehow managed to be beautiful and yet have little flavor. At least it was healthy. Bonus? It took a full hour from ordering to hit the table. The drinks and the view are fantastic. I wish I could say anything else was. Planning to take the fam up the tram? Remember that these reservations are also weather dependent (but don't dress for the weather), and you must arrive very early to get there. I decided I had to give this a try since it was no longer high finance (it's clearly been a while) and I had heard the food was much better. The views of course are always spectacular, that's the selling point. We took the tram up and went for lunch - hiking over and stopping for lunch is also a good option since the lounge area doesn't require specific fancy dress or a reservation. Our server was great, answered any questions we had and made sure we didn't need anything. We ordered the chile garlic hummus which to our surprise came with pita bread that was covered in turmeric which didn't really add much to the dish but made it rather messy. That said, it was tasty and had a good kick to it. I ordered the burrata sandwich with the sweet potato fries and they were both quite good. All in all the food is good, still quite pricey, but you're paying for the view. At least now you might actually enjoy your meal!! I do recommend checking it out if you haven't been since the old establishment and certainly a nice place to visit periodically. read more

I don't write reviews very often, but after seeing other reviews felt I needed to. We had an amazing experience. Had Sat night reservations for the fine dining side. Tram ride up, amazing (same for ride down). We didn't get a window seat but the restaurant is small and all tables have a view. For drinks my son had a mocktail, hubby an old fashioned, and I added gin to the berry mocktail, all excellent. We started with the octopus & pork belly apps. Octopus was over cooked and tough but the pork belly was delicious and tender. For mains we had the stripped bass, the pork tenderloin , and ny strip. All phenomenal!! Cooked perfectly. Zero complaints. For dessert we had the creme brulee trio & white chocolate cake. Again, zero complaints. All absolutely delicious and beautiful presentation. Prices are in line with other fine dining establishments. Portions on all dishes were decent, had left over ny strip, pork tenderloin & cake. Service was impeccable. Did not feel rushed or that it was too slow. Exactly what I expect for fine dining. Attire wise, my son wore jeans (no holes or rips), hubby wore khakis and button down & we had no issues being seated. Their website clearly calls out what is appropriate attire. The website also notes that the last seating is at 7:30. 100% recommend Ten 3. We had a great experience and will be back when we are in town to visit our son. read more

Beautiful renovated with massive windows, it was a shame that not all the tables in the restaurant could share a similarly fantastic view. We requested a window side table for two but were sat the farthest away from the window despite there being open tables there. The food was quite delicious, we had the smash bison burger, cooked really well and crispy with great flavor.
