Salmon chowder, grilled cheese, chicken feta wrap That was so good WOW! Fresh made saucy delicious Tons of juicy tomatoes, fresh lettuce, lots of chunky feta. My pregnant af wife and future son were in agreement best thing we've eaten all pregnancy! Grilled cheese was buttered and crispy and delicious. Service was a bit too slow. Please don't keep your potential customers waiting too long I'm sorry, but I can't give this business a good rating due to the terribly slow service. I tried stopping by for breakfast twice and found myself backed up in a long line that barely moved. The first day I went there, I sat in line for 23 minutes without progressing forward. The second time, I was waiting in line for almost an hour. It was a dismal type of service at best. Word of advice to the owners: please speed up your food service and find a way to cook and serve your customers more efficiently. You will not be getting my business until you do. read more

My family and I are new to the area and trying out local coffee houses and eateries to find our favorites. We have visited many times before moving, but Gabby's was always closed during the times we happened to come by. We were delighted when we finally had the opportunity because it is the cutest little place and really drives home that quaint country atmosphere. If you are driving up, I recommend knowing what you want. I don't know if we missed it, but we did not see a full menu. Both times we went, the woman who took our order did not seem immediately friendly; however, was very friendly after getting our order. So perhaps it was the morning rush, or maybe she was very focused on trying to get our order. I'm not sure, but she ended it on a pleasant note. I enjoyed their coffee. It was smooth, did not taste burnt, and was not overly sweet when ordering drinks with flavored syrups. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious and enjoyed by myself and our 3 kids. The blackberry bread pudding was to die for. Came warm and hugged by a buttery syrup, enough for 2 or 3 people to share. I had really high hopes for the cinnamon rolls, but sadly, the one we got wasn't worth finishing. The top was burnt, it lacked flavor, it was very light (not much to it...a lot of air), and was extremely dry. Not sure if it was just an off day or what. Will try again in the future to see. This is the only reason for rating a 4 vs. 5. Other than the cinnamon roll, we really enjoyed this little coffee stop and the food they have to offer. Came here for breakfast and had a latte and a ham and egg breakfast sandwich. Both were delicious! The portions are generous. I saved half of the sandwich for later. The barista was polite and made a great latte. Because of reviews on here I had to try a cinnamon roll and I highly recommend it. This is a great place and I'll be back to try their BBQ. If you're in a hurry or just want to get a quick coffee I wouldn't recommend coming here because it takes time to make good, homemade food. On Friday and Saturdays they have their smokehouse barbecue. They have chicken, ribs and brisket. We had their brisket. It was so flavorful, it didn't need the barbecue sauce. The coleslaw didn't need any salt pepper or anything else added to it. And the beans, what can I say, but the best I've ever tasted. A small place with BIG flavor. read more

We were too early yesterday so they weren't done yet; lesson learned to call ahead next time before we drive out there. We ended up trying a French donut which seemed more like a coffee cake. Split review. 1 Star for the sandwich, 5 stars for the bbq station. 1 Star for the sandwich I ordered here. I ordered a cheese and veggie sandwich. The swiss cheese was obviously Kraft singles type cheese, the kind that looks like shiny wax. Not real cheese if you ask me. It had one slice of cheese. I ordered sourdough bread but it tasted like Wonder bread. I had about three bites of the sandwich and threw the rest away. They need to use better quality ingredients or not offer sandwiches. We took our food to go and taking it back wasn't worth it. 5 stars for the personality at the bbq station. I was with family who really enjoyed the bbq. They were immediately offered a sample. I declined because I am a vegetarian. But we had some great conversation. My family purchased a whole chicken and a brisket meal and they really like it. I have not eaten at the Java drive through, but the BBQ stand has the best BBQ in the area. All three main items, the chicken, brisket and pork ribs are fantastic. The owners are very pleasant and I have never waited for more than 5 minutes to get my food. The food is heavily smoked like all good traditional BBQ, so if that bothers you, this might not be for you. Keep in mind that they are only open Thursdays and Fridays. read more

Gabbys did it again! Today I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was out of this world! The roll was soft, the cabbage gave it a nice little crunch to balance the texture. I Eat here all the time and would say that it's probably the Best place for lunch in the Sequim area. (actually the only place that really qualifies). They have good hot sandwich selection and Brian make up some really cool home made deserts, including a really mean bread pudding. Prices are really quite cheep for what you get compared to a mainstream fast food joint. Oh... and they let you tab your bill up to 50 bucks before they make you pay ;) The Espresso is good 85% of the time but for the price I can't complain Overall it's a really nice place to hang out, have some good food and BS with the usual suspects. I've been coming here for over a year and for my overall opinion I give it 1 star. It seems harsh but that is how the customer service is. The girls are very moody and can be very rude. I don't like to start my mornings off dealing with bad attitudes.
