The melted cheese on the exterior of the crepes, the cacophony of flavors from the different ingredients, made for an experience we'll come back for. Came here on a Sunday morning looking for a quick breakfast and this place did not disappoint! I ordered the BBQ chicken with an addition of avocado and waited approximately ~15 minutes for my order. The crepe wrap had this perfectly crisp netting surrounding the outer layer of the crepe. It completely won me over with the first bite as I'm someone that enjoys crispy and crunchy textures in my food. Everything down to the chicken, the fillings, and the crepe itself were just delicious. I came as a party of 3 and for the first half of our eating experience we were eating in complete silence because of how good our wraps tasted. What began as a tribute to owner, Marcel's brother Sebastian as a pop up in a small alleyway became a Palm Springs staple and just opened their 2nd location in the east valley neighborhood of downtown Indio. Not only are their crepes bomb and a revolution of the craft but the salads are perfection. And don't worry, if you do order a salad, you don't miss out on the crepe as they include one rolled up as a breadstick in your salad box. As a salad girlie, I've had my strife with the lack of good salads out here in the east valley. Especially at a quick spot and didn't expect to find it here. They used that incredible baby butter lettuce too. The lettuce was crisp and fresh just how I like it! We ordered the chicken Caesar salad, a life staple for me and the buffalo chicken crepe to share amongst 2 adults and one kid. We said, "we weren't that hungry" but then ate everything because it was so good. One of the best parts, GLUTEN FREE inclusive! Every crepe can be made gluten free which leaves you unlimited with sandwich options, pizza rolls, cheeseburger, etc. Our kid felt actual joy to have unlimited menu options, that doesn't happen every where. The staff is so kind and informative. They seemed truly joyful to be at this 2nd location. The layout and aesthetic is industrial modern with beautiful little touches like seabirds painted on the concrete walls which I suspect are a tribute to Sebastian, freedom and the ability to dream. Plus, a tribute to my home (Brooklyn) and biggie with everyone's fave quote/song on the wall. If you've been to the original, you'll want to check out this new spot. And if you're not familiar with these cheesy style crepes, get out and support Gabino's Creperie East ASAP. Your heart and tummy will be happy. Now they're open from 11 am to 8 pm daily which means this is no longer just a lunch spot but a place to vibe and connect after work with friends or for dinner with the fam before enjoying downtown Indio. I LOVE savory crepes! I prefer them over sweet. So when I see a restaurant that offers savory, I get excited. Service was good & food came out fast. Cute little shop & I love the Biggie's quote on the wall! We got super lucky & snagged a parking up front, but I can see on a normal day what a pain parking would be since it's very limited. My hubby thought the crepes were on the pricy side, but honestly it was a good size & surprisingly filling. I struggled to finish mine. The texture was nice & crunchy, but I think I prefer it without the crispy cheese because it was boarder line salty. I tried the pesto & the Caesar. Everything is served on a crepe that features a crunchy cheese outside and the fillings on the inside...have faith in what they do, you will love it if you love good food! My friend told me about Gabino's and during our last visit to Indio, was able to stop in. I believe it's in downtown Indio on a cute street and complete with a nice big outdoor seating area and lovely wall art. Inside has a minimalist aesthetic with an open kitchen (I mean, who doesn't like seeing crepes being made!?). Maybe they could tell this was our first time here, but they asked and gave us a warm greeting. They also told us to squeeze the crepe a little and eat them like a sandwich. I'd say I'm more used to sweet crepes than savory ones so this was something different for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it! We ordered the BBQ and Caesar crepes and really felt like the crispy cheese lining the crepe added so much to the texture and flavor. I'm not one for superlatives, ok who am I kidding, I love them. But suffice to say that Gabino's is a S tier creperie. The crepes themselves play tbis weird trick of being the intersection of crispy, chewy and soft at the same time. The fillings, in my case the Chicken Caesar, are soft and brimming with umami. They also have a smattering of cheese that crisps up on the plancha adding to the textural complexity. The restaurant itself is pretty stark and minimalist. It isn't the most inviting but who cares when the food is THAT good. They turned around my order pretty quickly and the people working there seemed invested in providing good service. It's a must stop when I'm in the desert. They recently added burgers to their menu but I'm sold on their crepes; they really are that good. read more

We have been excited to try Gabino's for a while now. I heard great things. On Tuesday we were out at Temalpakh Farm and were hungry for lunch. Gabino's is right at the end of Miles and since it was a Tuesday lunch time, we had a great spot outside to enjoy their very creative meals. My husband enjoyed the Barbecue crepe which is wrapped for easy eating. I loved the Pesto crepe- such a super portion for the price in 2026 I must say. My son was happy with the Chicken Ranch. He is a true Ranch person. We got to sit outside in the beautiful sunny patio. All I can say is Wow!! I want to go back now!! Give this sweet team some love, people. They had sandwiches and burgers. I decided to try the chicken pesto crepe. Wow, I'm really glad I did!! It was super good! The gentleman hat helped me was super friendly for sure. The original Gabino's location in Palm Springs is great so this cute, new location is nice to have on this side of the Valley. The crepes are large and could be shareable depending on your hunger level. Might be a little messy though! If there's a line at the cashier, be prepared to wait as it's all cooked to order. It's cool to watch them make it. The bathroom situation is also a little...interesting. You have to walk outside to the back of the building through a dark room (maybe the light was out), into a single person bathroom that was not very clean. I might hold it and use the restrooms across the way at the Taphouse! Bathrooms aside, the service is friendly and the food is yummy. That's probably most important. read more

These unique handhelds that are also called Crepewhiches simply can't be found anywhere else. Simply put, they are so freakin' delicious that you will crave the often! It was eerily like a ghost town almost. Indoor and outdoor seating. Order at the register and they call your name over the speaker if you're outside. There's a pick up window there, and the restroom is around back - you have to go outside to get to it. Casual atmosphere. Fast and friendly service. This place highlights the fact that they were on a Guy Fieri show! We got 3 different savory crepes and the one sweet crepe on their menu. All were great, but super messy! Gambino's is part of the new trendy Indio scene, very modern and a fresh unique concept. Lots of great renovation happening in Indio with some exciting higher-end restaurants opening soon so go check it out and spend the afternoon day-drinking and shopping while buzzed. LOCATION: excellent with a lot to do after stuffing your face with a humongous crepe. FACILITY: new, open concept, clean. Indoor and outdoor seating. Check hours of operation was 11am to 3pm. MENU: simple, ask questions but pretty sure everything is good here as the super secret sauce is smothered on everything I believe. FOOD PREP: very professional in the process from order to delivery. An open kitchen concept is interesting to watch and it works here. FOOD QUALITY: very good which has people lining up outside to enjoy, again simple. WAITSTAFF: great reception from the owner I believe, more than happy to explain and make suggestions. Since this was our first visit so we were the idiots trying to overthink the menu. OVERALL VALUE: well now this is expensive but the chopped cheese crepe cone thing is huge. Way to much for me so thankfully we shared. Our crepe was $18 as we added avocado. I'll return to enjoy a few other items like the veggie! TIP: we visited early on a Saturday and only had a few people ahead of us. While the ordering process is quick, waiting for your made to order food can take some time which is why there may be big lines at peak times. That said it is quite expensive for what is essentially a fast food experience ($50 for 2 crepes, 2 cans of soda and 2 small bags of chips). Id also like to see them have sides other than bagged chips and a legit drink setup (just cans and bottles). This was my first time visiting, as I was in the area on business and decided to stop by for lunch. I'm so glad I did--this place truly did not disappoint. I ordered the barbecue chicken crepe and opted for the gluten-free version. Let me just say, I've had my fair share of gluten-free crepes before, but this was by far the best one I've ever tasted. The crepe itself had an incredible texture--soft, yet slightly crispy on the edges--and the flavor was like an explosion in my mouth. Absolutely delicious. The barbecue chicken filling was also gluten-free (I asked, and the staff kindly double-checked for me). It was packed generously with chicken, and they also added some fresh cherry tomatoes--although I only got a couple, which was perfect for me since I'm not a huge fan. Combined with a good amount of fresh lettuce, everything came together beautifully. The dish was flavorful, satisfying, and left me full without feeling heavy. As a heads-up, the prices are on the higher side, especially if you're opting for the gluten-free crepe, which adds a $3 surcharge (not including tax). Parking is free on the street, though it might take a few minutes to find a spot. One minor downside: they don't have restrooms inside, and I didn't notice any public restrooms nearby, so plan accordingly. All in all, this place is fantastic.
