Glad to have found this place from a quick search while in this area on an empty stomach and starving. It's a great diner with lots of great comfort foods that will have you leaving full and satisfied. It was really tough deciding what to get but the pot roast noodle special sounded so good and so unique. I've never heard of anything like it and decided to go for it. I wasn't disappointed. It was like having a really thick minestrone soup on top of really tender beef topped over a bed of soft noodles. Got a really nice side salad to start and then finished with a take home rice pudding (which I sprinkled some cinnamon on for added enjoyment). Really great atmosphere with really fast and friendly service. Everything you could ask for in a local diner. Can't wait to come back here again soon. read more

Whoa! Ordered tuna salad -salad it was absolutely delicious. Huge, came with scoop of tuna, scoop of potato salad, and scoop of cottage cheese, Kalamatta olives, peperoncinis, cucumber, green pepper, lettuce, and tomato. Sooooooo good! Man sitting in booth behind us seen it delivered, and ordered it himself! Also very affordable...2 salads with proteins, 2 drinks, 2 coffees, and 1 shared dessert: $44 plus tip. Food was fine, servings are good but customer service sucks. Expect your server to disappear and be stranded for most of your meal and for other servers to be loudly boasting how much they make off people while on the clock sitting and working. Servers would rather talk with each-other for 30 minutes in front of your face and avoid eye contact for service than actually make sure you're okay before doing whatever. I got the shepard's pie and was let down. It had way more corn (and no other veggies) than anything. Hardly any seasoning and melted American slices of cheese. That's 3 strikes for me. I would have preferred more meat and potatoes and maybe some peas. Shredded cheddar would have made all the difference. It is not a fancy place for a meal It is a small establishment, that is family owned, and has been there for a few decades. It always sits ont he same spot and makes the same meals. This is traditional home cooking. Nothing fancy with that. It is what you expect and what you will receive. To me it is a place you might go with your parents and then come back with your own friends or children. It is that type of place. We decided to go for dinner after coming out of a meeting. It was about 530pm and a good time to visit. We stepped inside and it was not too crowded. Many empty tables. We sat down and the waitress came over to help us out. We had a large menu to select from. It is truly breakfast, lunch and dinner no matter what time you are there. We had a menu for everything. This being Tuesday the specials were for Tuesday. These are items you do not see on other days or in the menu every day. It is Tuesday. The interesting thing it was items I have not seen in years. The last time I did was when my mother made it ages ago. We took our time and then decided. It was a spilt between someone for breakfast and someone for dinner. Perfect. I started with Split Pea Soup. That was special for tonight. It was original. This is they way we make it and they way we learned how to make it. This was not from a restaurant. This was made in the back the way you make it at home. It was creamy, think, just the right flavor. There were some onions, carrots, celery and slices of ham. Each use of the spoon made me feel I was back home for this. Then came the meal itself. We had the 2X Plate. This was two eggs, two bacon, and two pancakes. Again, this was home made style. Not out of a machine. It was the cook in the back making the dish for you. And it was fresh. The pancakes were large. Perfect for breakfast in the morning. Next I had the Pot Roast (beef) over egg noodles. When they brought it out I saw it as my mother made it. It was in a light red sauce. There were onions, carrots, peppers and slices of beef (3) that was so tender you did not need a knife to cut. It fell apart. The noodles had a touch of butter to make it fresh. Together I recalled what I ate as a kid. Almost like mom's. I knew how this was made. With my meal I also received dessert. This was bread pudding. The old style. It was again made in the back that morning. It was real bread. You could see the crust. It was creamy and tasty. Not sweet. Authentic. Ideal to remember the way we had it. Yes, this is an old establishment. Nothing fancy. Just good home cooking. And by 630pm it was getting packed. This is local neighbors coming in for the meal or the specials that night. We will be back. Maybe for breakfast next time....hmmmmm. read more

I stopped here for a quick meal on the way to the airport. The server was attentive while taking our order and recommended the orzo soup and apple pie. Both were mediocre at best. There was no follow up by the server as to why the food was not eaten. The restaurant windows and blinds were very dirty. There were several servers standing around doing nothing. Mediocre It was busy for breakfast on a weekday morning. Service was a little confused and it was hard to get a coffee refill. The servers, however, were all very pleasant. I had the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast which was good. The French toast was cooked all the way through and not soggy in the middle like I often get at other places. The eggs were fine. The ham was thinly sliced and should have had a better sear, so nothing special. The grits were a big disappointment. They were very bland and had a gummy consistency. The addition of lots of butter, salt and pepper only helped marginally. The biscuit was pretty dense and only OK. Our server today was Nikki and she was precious, friendly, professional and very attentive as well as the other servers. The cooks are always amazing and for the first time I had a club sandwich. The cheeseburger club. Loaded with meat and vegetables I was barely able to finish the whole thing. The restaurant is always clean and so are the restrooms.
