    Lobster roll
    Darren G.

I do really like fresh market side of this business, since the prices were fair and had great variety of fresh seafood even better then Adam's in respects. Like soft shell blue crab which is hard to find. Now as for eating here, I found the service pretty abysmal and it's really a to go place more than anything else. The Thai popcorn shrimp was great, since it was light on sauce and very light breading, so I had more shrimp than the usual overcooked fried with micro salad shrimp. For the lobster roll, they perfectly toasted and buttered the roll, plenty of lobster and very fine celery bits, only thing I would loved it had more mayo since the lobster salad was pretty dry. Prices here are pretty comparable to red lobster but not up to par

We try to come here every time we go to the New Paltz area and have never been disappointed. The blackened fish with 2 sides is our typical go-to but the shrimp and grits were great today and for the fish reluctantly kiddo there's a great kids menu.

Fresh seafood counter and a hot food section so you can get whatever you are looking for! Great for takeout. They do have some seating available too. Large selection of fresh fish and they take the fresh seafood to make cooked food. Huge menu! Some of our favorites are the clam chowder, fried shrimp, oysters, broiled cod, chicken sandwich, fish sandwich, and fish tacos.

    Fried Calamari

Have eaten here a few times in the past, and it was usually ok. Was here recently and ordered fried calamari for take out with lobster bisque soup. The calamari was a really skimpy portion, and very soggy. The lobster bisque was horrible. There was no flavor, not a single spec of lobster, and the worst part was that it had chunks of flour throughout even after heating it up (as in the pic). Ended up throwing it away, and it's not exactly cheap. The soup was bought at the store, and the calamari from the restaurant. Very disappointing won't be back anytime soon.

Ask the Community - Gadaleto's Seafood

Why don't they put some vegetarian items on the menu, they cook everything beautifully?

We did add a gorgeous "not-so-simple" salad, a caesar, some new awesome pickled beet tacos and our scallop primavera dish can be done without the scallops. Hope that helps a little!

Theres outside seating for nice days, a fire pit that seats many&if you dont have problems meeting new people. The food. OMG. The drinks, just delicious. Our party of 4 opted for drinks & I shared the warm brie with fruit with my friend. I ordered a white wine from Portugal called Vinho Verde, had a little fizz but not like sparkling, so good. My entree was Diver Scallops with mushroom risotto, topped with crispy leeks & an herb pesto. The portion was more than I expected, I must've had a half dozen scallops on my plate, so delicious, risotto was thick, scallops were plump. A friend had the same meal. My husband had the grilled flat iron steak, the potatoes it came with were bigger than a fingerling, crispy skin, just out of this world. Our server, whos name i didnt catch, was always available for refills, very nice man, but the other staff walking by would ask if we were good, so kudos! Dessert for this group was in the form of alcohol so we took our black walnut martinis to the fire pit, where we sat for awhile. This is a fine dining restaurant with the comfort of a casual bar with all the food & drink you can need. Pure satisfaction, I cannot wait to go back for the raw bar.

She is an amazing waitress, seemed to be the only waitress on this evening & she managed everything so well, kept the jokes & smiles flowing! When we walked in, it was only one other party seated. It was my first time ever doing anything like this. Normally I'm very picky with seafood and complicated ways to eat food usually sends me. But this was sooooo good. None of the food was "fishy" all of it tasted amazing. Definitely suggest getting the option with all of the spices. The flavor was crazy. Really had such a fun time. Highly suggest going with a group of friends because it makes it that much more entertaining. Loved how the wall was covered in signatures. Super affordable for the type and amount of food you're getting. A decent amount of other options too if someone in your party isn't a seafood person. 10/10 I want to go back so bad

There is indoor and outdoor seating. All the outdoor tables have umbrellas. Dog friendly. You order and pay inside (tip: know your table number when you go to order). We tried two of their salads (Waldorf, southwest Cobb)... we enjoyed them all... very fresh, good sized. Got both of these on both trips in. The turkey BLT wrap was great! Parking - we parked in a lot behind the restaurant. Most people had to pay the meter but we had a handicap hangtag and the handicap spot was free. Would def recommend!

Boy, are there a lot of post-hike options in New Paltz. I stopped by here this past Saturday…read moreafternoon after an 8.7-mile hike in nearby Minnewaska State Park. The weather had been pretty mediocre throughout the day but that clearly hadn't stopped the tourists from invading the downtown area - the place was teeming with people when I came in around 3pmish. I didn't do a ton of research on potential eating spots (a lot of SE Asian eateries, which seemed kind of random?) but picked Lola's because it was a block or two from where I parked, and I immediately imprinted on the Short Rib Grilled Cheese when I saw it on the online menu. Decision made. Since it was starting to get a little nicer out, I would have liked a spot outside in the front patio. But the girl at the check-in (I feel like there's a much better term for that) asked me to go inside, which for sure was a bias against the fact that I was a solo diner. I get it in theory, but it's not fun to get treated like a second-class citizen because you don't have a posse with you in a tourist trap. Regardless, the interior was fine; looked like it had been redone within the last year or so; what it lacked in personality it made up for in terms of overall spiffiness (and the area where the personality DID come through was in the bathroom area, with tongue-in-check "Whatever" gender signs on the doors and edgy art by the sinks. Tell me you're a college town without telling me you're a college town.). The set-up in here is more casual than I assumed; I was told that my table was #10 (the numbers were clearly marked on each table, reminiscent of Smashburger), and that once I decided what I wanted, I needed to go up to the counter to order. Someone WOULD serve the food, but a big chunk of the experience is DIY. I ordered the aforementioned Short Rib Grilled Cheese w/ Fries, along with a Diet Pepsi, and waited. I thought this was pretty inefficient, as there were plenty of employees nearby who easily could have just taken my order at the table instead of having me sit down, then stand up and walk across the restaurant to order, and then sit back down. The wait was a little longer than I would have guessed, just given the straightforward order and casual, almost fast-food style to the business model; it took close to 20 minutes to get my sandwich, I'd guess. Not egregious, and there WERE a number of other customers on the premises as well. The Grilled Cheese was just okay - I tend to grade on a curve after a hike, but I thought it was really drippy/greasy, and I wasn't crazy about the tomato compote it came with (which is a personal palate preference and something that WAS specifically referenced on the menu and I didn't request its exclusion; easy to remove, regardless). The short ribs aspect was unsurprisingly the best part. The fries were decent; a little pale but cooked through. There was a pickle hidden underneath them that was a little emotionally upsetting but it is what it is. This was fine and could have been worse, but the next time I'm in town I'm going to keep walking down the street and trying one of the many other options nearby. The target demo for this feels a little more 2am college student than hungry hiker in the afternoon.
