My friend and I tried this restaurant this morning and loved the old building and cute atmosphere but once seated there was no wow factor. Our server was unfriendly and gave poor service. My friend had the Denver omelet and was disappointed that it wasn't made like a Denver omelette. He had to ask for ketchup and was given a bottle that was empty and no butter or jelly given for his toast. I had the bear hugger and it was just ok. The bacon was undercooked and fatty, the eggs were overly runny, the gravy was average and not enough to cover biscuits. We were given a table by the kitchen grill area and no one had hairnets on their hair or beards. It was average but will not revisit due to poor service. Our family of 5 went over move in weekend at MSU. It was about an hour wait, but once seated we had great service. The food was delicious and the menu offered something for my picky eater as well as my own taste. The brunch cocktails were also fantastic. Live music added to a great brunch! read more

This was a staple for us in college and now my kids are enjoying it! The food is amazing. Amazing. The atmosphere is fun and the staff is wonderful! We stopped in and got the surprise of Friday night karaoke. A staff member got up and sang with my daughter and it was so much fun. I got the breakfast Mac and cheese. A wonderful breakfast surprise! We stopped on a whim - nice atmosphere, interesting architecture, great staff. What can you do with an egg in a skillet - I thought I've had eggs every which way. I got the Big Bite Mike. 2 eggs my way, ham, sausage, bacon, red & green peppers, red onion, mushroom, tomato & queso with just a little heat, all on a bed of home fried potatoes in a bigger then expected iron skillet. Mannnnnn oh mannnn is this place amazing!!! Came here for the second time and realized I didn't leave a review- so now I'm catching up on leaving 5 star reviews where it is deserved. I've had the best customer service here than I've had in a while from other restaurants. The waitresses are always checking back to see if we need more coffee because the cups are small so they know those coffee cups get empty pretty quickly. Both times I've came here I've only tried the same thing because it was THAT good. I always get the Freedom waffle but next time, I'll have to resist and try something new.
