Took my Mercedes GLC300 there to have new brakes and rotors installed after getting gouged by the local dealership. While there, I had them do an oil change, tire rotation and alignment and still walked out saving around $700 from what the dealership quoted me for just the brakes and rotors. This is a long review but I advise you to read it before going here. If I could rate 0 stars I would. I had brought my 2011 BMW 335i there for a problem with the engine stalling, and that was the only thing; that I wanted fixed. They had called me about 3-4 days after I dropped it off, saying it had issues with the brakes, that were new but the service light was never reset. They kept trying to tell me that they needed to be replaced but I refused service, which, telling me doesn't seem very honest. But that's not the point of my review. My car had a problem with the fuel rail pressure sensor, and I told them that was the only thing I wanted to be replaced as it was the only thing making my engine stall, they still did over 4k worth of work, after I had told them only to do one thing. Then after I had picked my car up from them when it was "ready to go" the engine blew. I made it 5 minutes down the road before the engine went after the service. This is the confusing part. They had told me there was metal in the engine oil when I left the shop with my car. BUT when I originally dropped it off and they took the oil pan off there was no metal in the oil. They didn't seem to care whatsoever that my engine had gone after they worked on it. They basically said it's not our fault, and go F yourself. Explain how metal ended up in the engine after service, doesn't make any sense whatsoever. DO NOT GO HERE!! Thanks, Galati I am now left with no car because of you. UPDATE: After returning my car to carvana, they had pulled the engine apart and determined that the engine oil hadn't been primed before starting the engine. I cannot even fathom the fact this business had told me it was not their fault, when in fact, their unprofessional; supposed ASE certified mechanics could not perform the correct procedure to make sure my engine did not fail. This is completely outrageous, and unexceptable. Do better galati, train your mechanics better, you are advertised as foreign car repair, and if you don't know how to work on them properly, then maybe it's time to stop. This is completely unfair to myself and even carvana. As i said before, do not go here. They charge dealership prices so it would save time just to go to the dealer. read more

I would not recommend this business. I spent over $2000 and my car is not compeletely fixed. The staff was rude and they had my car for an extensive amount of time. Only to still have a light on when I specially told them what the issue was. I'm not happy and I wish my experience could of been better. I would not recommend this establishment for repairs. I had first called this company because I took my car to a shop nearby and they couldn't fix my car because of the brand. I then took it too the dealer and they did a diagnostic and told me exactly what needed to be fixed. Unfortunately the dealer cost was too high so I called Galati and told them what I needed fixed. The gentlemen at Galati proceeded to tell me he thinks it was something else which the repair he completed didn't do anything to my car. He fixed the heat but it's barley pushing out . Hello. I was a loyal customer of this establishment for many years. They told me my car needed extensive work and I agreed to have them do the work. They said the work was done, I paid the bill in a timely manner as always. I ended up having the same issues with my car and I tried talking to them about it and they kept putting me off saying, "I'll have to talk to the owner and have him call you". I didn't get any help. I do not believe they repaired my car, either they couldn't do the work or they didn't want to do the work. I would recommend to anyone that is told by this company that their car needs extensive work to get another opinion. The way they treated me was wrong. This the absolute worst car repair place. Broke shifter on my car causing over $2,000.00 of damage according to Mercedes Benz dealership.

We have a 2007 BMW 335i that was in bad shape. Galati's worked on the car and all along the way kept us informed with calls and texts with pictures. We have been there 3 times now, with different things wrong and they have taken good care of us. Auto repair can be tough to deal with, but they seemed fair, maybe a bit high compared to wholesale parts, but they made up for that with the labor charge which was very reasonable. The car may not be bulletproof like it once was, but we are beginning to trust it a lot more for longer trips. read more

Had my car for over a week. Ended up cleaning the fuel injectors and putting in new spark plugs. Next mechanic (a friend of mine who works for Mercedes) I took it to informs me that the plugs they put in it weren't new. They put used spark plugs in my car and charged me for platinum plugs. The engine was losing compression due to the valves so cleaning the injectors did absolutely nothing. Was charged $700. Don't go to this place they will rip you off and try to take advantage of you. This placed ripped my family off on 2 cars in the past. One car was a Lexus and the other was a Toyota. In both instances, work was done without our consent and then the bill was literally almost the cars value. On my Lexus, they took out the radar detector, and never told me about it. When I drove back to ask them about the missing radar detector, it was all of a sudden in their shop. Theres no excuse for the removal of the radar detector when you are working under the hood. Way over priced!! Front brake service, serpentine belt, and a new battery for $720!! When I looked up the parts on-line front rotors, pads, and serp. Belt $120. They charged $280. When I asked them they said, we don't use those cheap parts from China. Right, almost every auto part has Chinese products in it. It might have been assembled some where else but to over charge $160 on parts speaks volumes about this place. If you don't have a pricey European car I would avoid this place. read more

I can't say enough about the great service at Galati's. The whole team at Galati's treated me with respect and are all so nice- you feel like family! The prices are more than fair and they don't try to sell you repairs that your car doesn't need. I took my car in to have some interior work done. Instead of ordering a brand new expensive door handle and an arm rest (for my old 'cede) they suggested using EBay and it saved me a bundle. They then put the parts in for me. I also asked them about the struts on the front end. I was told by another place they needed replaced and it would cost over $1000. The mechanic checked my car over and said the struts were fine, just old. They did find however that I needed a new boot on the axle so they replaced that at a very reasonable cost. I trust Galati's with my car, they are highly experienced and the mechanics care about the cars. I won't go anywhere else. read more
