The food was really good and the drinks were strong. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the warm weather. I wish that they offered happy hour outdoors due to the pandemic and many people not wanting to sit indoors. Nice Greek/Mediterranean restaurant in Southern MD with indoor and outdoor seating. It's an older family owned restaurant, nice, but no need to dress up. It's a very casual restaurant. We had a party of 9 and they were able to accommodate us with no problem. The staff were friendly and attentive. I had cream of crab soup as an appetizer. It was rich, creamy and flavorful. My only gripe was that it had alot of crab shells (more than normal). The chicken Parmesan was really tasty and came with a side of spaghetti. The tomahawk steak was huge of course. It was tender, flavorful and juicy. A little salt sprinkled on top would've made it perfect. On the flip side, the scallops were good and sweet but a little too salty. The lobster ravioli was made a little different. The ravioli was filled with cheese and it came with a lobster tail on top. The sauce was flavorful but I don't think we would try it again. Overall the ravioli was basic. I prefer to have the lobster inside the ravioli. read more

Our family comes every Tuesday afternoon to Galazio for their fantastic pizzas and "Caprese baguette" everyone is so friendly and the service is excellent especially Tonaé, and Ray. As soon as we walk in Rosita greets us with a welcoming smile and Tonaé comes with our drinks already in hand because she remembers us! She always has time to chat with us too. Wow!!! Galazio knocked it out of the park on all fronts. So glad that we gave this place a try. We were originally trying to get into one of the local crab houses, but weren't able to so we decided to head to Galazio. I noticed it as we were heading to colonial beach. Good thing I made the mental note. They have done such a great job adjusting to business during a pandemic. They had outdoor seating with plenty of space between tables, sanitizer on each of the tables, touch-less menus, and all staff wearing masks. We sat outside, but they also had a safe setup indoors. As usual, whenever we dine out at a new spot we try to order a variety of items. Luckily we had two others with us to allow for us to sample a few other items. We ordered off of their summer menu, which was a bit different than their usual menu. Still a ton of great Greek options. Our order consisted of...Greek fries (little heavenly potato medallions), crab dip (you will need a few extra pieces of bread), gyro platter, lamb chop platter, and the Dionysius pizza (pepperoni, spicy sausage, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers). I know...sounds like a lot of food. All of it was AMAZING. Crab dip...creamy, cheesy, with plenty of chunks of crab, served with lightly toasted baguettes. They give you 4 pieces, but we asked for a couple of extra. The Traditional lamb chops may have been my favorite dish. Comes with five decent size chops, rice, and a side. We went with the kale as our side, which had to have been the best kale I've ever had. The way they were done reminded me of collard greens (see pic). We ordered another side of it, because it was that good. The lamb was perfectly cooked (medium), had amazing flavor, and was great with the rice. Mouth watering right now. Our pizza was recommended by our waiter, and what a great recommendation. Fresh toppings, tangy sauce, and great crust. They make the pizzas outside in their brick oven...super cool! Gyro platter was a hit as well, this works for me since I'm not a fan of full gyros, it's was like a deconstructed gyro that allows you to assemble as you like. Can't close out this review without mentioning our amazing sever Thomas. We couldn't have asked for a better server. He was beyond friendly, super knowledgeable of the menu, had our food and drinks out in record time, and was constantly checking on us to make sure we were doing ok. I really wish Galazio wasn't 50 mins away from where we stay. We would be there every week if it weren't for that. We are already thinking of excuses to travel out that way, to make it back there. read more

I've eaten here two times. Unfortunately, the food doesn't warrant the prices. Today I ordered a shrimp wrap. The price was $18. It was filled with tiny, previously frozen, bland shrimp. My husband said it looked like they robbed a Cup of Noodles for the shrimp. They honestly looked like the canned chicken of the sea or bumble bee tuna brand shrimp. They also charged me $1.35 for a tiny bit of extra tzatziki. They also gave my husband fries when he ordered rice. He said his gyro was good but not worth $16. The Bloody Mary I had was the best part of the meal. We live in St. Mary's so I will not be returning. If I lived in Charles I probably wouldn't return either. Came here for my husbands birthday and we did not have the best experience unfortunately. We came here a couple of years ago and had a much better experience. The food quality doesn't warrant the high prices. For the prices paid, I would expect everything to be much higher quality and taste. The sides are not good and overpriced. The creamed spinach and kale tasted store bought and not fresh. The gyro meat was salty and tasted like it was pre packaged from frozen. The overpriced deserts should have been hand made fresh for that price but they clearly were not. The wait staff wasn't very attentive either. We had to yell out and raise out hand a couple of times for help. Very dissatisfied and won't be coming back. I would drive to DC or VA for more authentic food and better experience for similar prices. read more

Poor quality, and not made to order. My wife got the Pastitsio and I got the gyro souvlaki. My wife's dish was most definitely reheated and luke warm when served. My gyro meat was from an industrial press(from a bag) and also luke warm. The appetizer was a fried cheese in phyllo and came from a bag. The best part of the meal was the service as even though our server was new he was very cordial and attentive. The tzatziki sauce was also pretty good. They opened their doors to the entire community for Thanksgiving with a free meal to whoever wanted it. **** Update 10 days later **** Maybe today was an anomaly so we are not going to change our initial review, but we had a disappointing experience at lunch on a Monday after the rush. We were greeted at the door quickly and given good seats. However, we had to wait about 15 minutes to be acknowledged by our server. We had to reach out to our server to initiate that conversation. The food was good as always, but we are curious why a $12 appetizer meant to be shared came with only 8 wedges of pita. So get this! My 43rd Birthday was Jan. 12th. We came here for dinner. I had not had any meat, to include seafood since Jan. 12, 2020---and folks I order the lamb chops and they were great. I also had an old fashion one of my favorite drinks and it was dynamic. Makers Mark is what they use, but you have the flexibility to choose the bourbon you prefer. My kids had the pepperoni pizza ( Tuesday is pizza night $5 off). My wife had the crab cake. The bar can be a little loud considering the restaurant is cozy, but it doesn't take away from your dining experience. Alot of regulars come here and I see why, the food is good and the drinks are well prepared. I love this place so if you are heading south on 301 be sure to check it out. First class as usual! I used to enjoy Ouzos, which was the owner's previous restaurant. I am pleased to see that they've transferred their good taste and quality food over to Galazio's. When they served me the coffee freshly brewed, it had one of those tiny little spoons in it... which is just plain cool. We then got the five dollars off pizza on Tuesday, and chose the Mediterranean pizza with some really fabulous goat cheese that I have never tasted before, very similar to mozzarella. Really wish we could try this place ... read and heard so many good things, but every time ( 4 separate occasions ) we have tried to call ahead to place an order - and NO ONE picks up! There is no way to place an order online or ahead so we had not other option. I may give this one more try but - calling that is, but hopefully by then they will have the capability for customers to place an order online for curbside pickup. read more

Holy crap, where to begin. No social distancing going on at all, we got seated back to back with another couple. The wait staff were CRAZY slow despite it visibly also being slow in the restaurant. The food was subpar for the most part, the crab dip was absolutely vile and marinating in grease. We sent it back, which is impressive for us as we have fairly low standards for crap dib. I mean, most crab dip is awesome. The entrees were okay. Not impressive. Would have been acceptable for a $15-$18 a plate, but these were like $25-$30 a plate. The Caesar salad was nauseating. I couldn't finish it. Again, weird, because I rarely meet a Caesar salad I don't like. My wife got sick pretty much as soon as we left, which was frustrating because we were out for our anniversary and had gotten a babysitter. Kind of put a damper on the rest of the afternoon. Also, just wanted to reiterate, jeez the staff were slow. All in all, they might have just been having a bad day, but between the quality of service, the food, and the seating arrangements, I don't think we'll be trying this place again. The lamb was overcooked and very dry, the pasta dish we had was okay and we ordered a classic cheesecake which came out covered in sprinkles. This is my 2nd visit. There were 4 of us. We felt like contented cows must feel after a good meal. We just hope we didn't look the part also. LOL! Our bill came to $112 bucks. Not bad considering it included two 16oz draft beers and a glass of wine. I like the wine pours. I don't feel cheated like at some other places. There are more wines to purchase by the bottle than by the glass, I think. No worry. In MD you can carry the rest of the bottle with you. I'm sure they can tell you how to stow it in your vehicle so it's legal. The Redskins were playing the Eagles so the place was sort of empty. There is a television on the bar side, if you need to track your sports team. I only saw 1 TV screen so customers need to agree, I suppose, on what to watch. The service was spot on. Since the place was so empty, we were the only table our waitress had. The long awaited patio is open, finally. There was some brouhaha with the local town government. They seem to have a knack for making me think they are anti-business. The rest of CC would be glad to have such a fine establishment in our backyard and bend over backward to make sure Galazio is happy, to boot. But, I digress....... This place is for foodies. A sample, 2-3, of the appertisers would make a fine meal. My friend said the lump crab cake was delicious. I would never have tried crab cakes in a Greek restaurant but now I will. You expect the Gyro meal to be good and 2 of us were not disappointed. The pork medallions could be cut with the side of a fork, so delicious. No dessert for the 4 of us. We were to stuffed. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and that they decorated for Valentines Day! I made a reservation and was able to be immediately sat on time. My boyfriend and I had the cheese flambe, which was delicious, meatballs, and I got the gyro platter, and he got the kebab platter. My gyros were very tasty, and the portions were generous. Galazio's is one of my favorite restaurants in Southern Maryland. The food is always fresh and delicious and the service is friendly and efficient. One warning I would give to fellow diners, however, if you order a bottle of wine and they areout of that bottle and suggest a different bottle, they do not price match that suggested bottle. I found this out the hard way so learn from my mistake and ask the price of the bottle they are suggesting. This is in no way of Dean. It's just not what I'm used to. Well, back in 2021, we didn't have a great experience, and I said I would not return. Friends said it was under new management, so we all said we would give it another shot. Made reservations for a party of 6 for 7:30 on a Friday on the Resy app. We arrived at 7:15 to be told that they didn't have our reservations. We said we do have reservations and have emails and text messages stating that we do have reservations. I was asked for proof, which i showed the hostess. Once she saw the multiple emails and text messages, she told us well that the app sometimes crashes and they don't always get the reservations. Ok, that's fine... but we still have a reservation. She said she would need to speak to her manager. When she returned, she informed us that we were lucky that they had a table to sit us. We were a bit surprised with what she told us...while we waited for a waitress and informed the hostess that she did not want more tables because she was overwhelmed. We thought what the chance is that it is probably supposed to be our waitress. We were correct. The manager came to our table not to apologize about the mixup with the reservations but to take our order because they were short staffed. For our $300 bill plus 18% gratuity because we were a party of 6, I would have thought that the food would have been good. I was wrong. The drinks from the bar was good. The appetizers were ok. The steaks were under cook and the recommended potatoes were extremely salty. We didn't even bother with dessert. I know i said it 2021 I am not coming back. LaPlata yall can have this place. I will stick with the better choices in Waldorf, Leonardtown and in Calvert County read more

Creative and fun menu Dark sort of cavey energy as far as decor but clean and inviting. Very friendly staff. It took a little long to get the food, but the food was good. My husband and I just came here for date night. I have had many friends recommending it here for awhile now and we finally were able to come. It is a family owned restaurant which I just love being able to support! The food is unique and there is TLC put into the menu, dishes and the whole establishment. We came early on a Friday night and were only the second table of patrons. There were several people chatting and enjoying themselves at the bar. The hostess was super cheerful as she sat us at our table and was waiter was also very nice. Being our first time here, we asked him a couple questions and he politely answered them for us. He brought out a basket of warm fresh bread and an oil/vinegar/spice mix to dip into. The bread was delicious and so soft and fresh! We ordered a cup of cream of crab to share. It was a close second to our most favorite cream of crab out at a restaurant! It had lots of lump crab meat which is always what you're looking for. For entrees we chose the chicken kabob and steak dinner the specific name is escaping me!). We extremely enjoyed our meals. The steak was so juicy and cooked to a perfect medium just as we had asked. The little round, disc shaped "fries" were so good!!! They were crispy and delicious! We dipped them in the tzatziki kabob sauce and that made them even better! We ordered a Greek salad as our second side which came before our meals. We both really enjoyed it. Fresh and yummy!! The chicken kabob was good and came on the skewer with onions and green pepper. It also had a side of seasoned rice which my husband really liked. We got broccolini as well and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back.
