I had a good experience at the restaurant with my friends until an uncomfortable situation happened involving the restroom and security. There was a line for the women's restroom, and while we were waiting in the hallway, several women were directed by staff to use the men's restroom because there was no line. I was eventually directed to do the same. I wasn't in a rush and would have been completely fine waiting, but it felt like staff were trying to clear the hallway rather than having us wait. After I came out of the restroom, a man who identified himself as security, and was later identified by a coworker as Dean, approached me aggressively and told me I was not allowed to use that restroom. He pointed toward a camera and raised his voice, telling me that if I did it again, he would have me kicked out. I tried to explain that I had only used it because a staff member directed me to, but he repeatedly interrupted me and said, "I don't care what they said. I'll have you kicked out." His tone and behavior made me feel extremely uncomfortable and, honestly, accosted. I returned to my group and told them what happened, and we ultimately decided to leave because I no longer felt comfortable staying. When my sister later tried to address the situation with him, explaining that the issue should have been communicated with the staff who directed me to use the restroom rather than by yelling at me, he did not take any accountability and simply responded, "She knows the rules now." I understand that restaurants have rules and security has a job to do. What I found disappointing was the way this situation was handled. If there was a policy about using the men's restroom, I would have respected it without question, I simply followed the direction given to me by the restaurant staff. There was no reason for me to be spoken to in such an aggressive and intimidating manner. Tables were being removed around us as we ate, and we ended up being the only table left in that section for a bit. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but it did feel a little odd, so I wouldn't recommend booking a dinner reservation too late if you're going just for dinner and drinks. The food was fine overall, nothing that really stood out in a big way. We tried the ps martini, chicken bites, fries, bluefin tuna, the lumache pasta and the bolognese pasta. Everything was decent, solid, but more "it's good" than "wow, I need to come back for this." You can't really go wrong with chicken bites and fries. What really makes this place is the vibe. The crowd is active and it just feels like a night out from start to finish. For 8 pm on a Friday, it was generally smooth and not overwhelming! The servers were kind and checked in often enough. Shoutout to the short girl with glasses who worked the host stand, bussed tables, etc etc. She did so much! Note if you sit in the outside patio area, everything will be at an angle. Spills and weird adjustments are inevitable. Next time, I'd sit inside. The food was super tasty and came out at a reasonable pace. I recommend the brussel sprouts and the off-menu esquites! The drinks were also good, but nothing unique for their price point. Everything is outrageously priced for what it is. You're paying for vibes and aesthetic, mostly. Then, when i paid the bill with the handheld he commented that i didn't tip enough (even if though i tipped 19%) as i was taking pictures of our drinks and he said out loud so we could here "they tipped badly even though they were taking pictures of the drinks" . Maybe i didn't want to tip above and beyond when our experience started off with negative vibes. It was a little strange, it seems as if they forgot about us at the bar or didn't realize we had a reservation because other parties of 3 were seated before us when we were there first. A group of us went here for dinner on a Saturday at 7pm. The hostess' were super friendly and had us wait at the bar until our table was ready. We were quickly sat and greeted by our server who was so sweet and friendly. She went through the menu with us and checked on us multiple times throughout our meal. We started with the crispy chicken bites and way beef skewers. Both were very good. For our entrees we got the burger, roast chicken & special pasta. We added on the truffle fries which were good but had I known it was $15 to add truffle to $9 fries, I would have gotten the regular fries. The drinks were good but barely any alcohol and on the sweeter side. Overall we had a great time and it's a cute little space. Whoever is running this joint is not only overcharging for their food, but they are also tacking on a 5% admin fee to every bill. No, it does not specify this is for healthcare. That would legally mean they would have to directly use it to pay for healthcare. I asked to remove the charge AND to speak to the manager. The manager was too scared to deal with it or maybe they were too busy. But either way, BAD look. I will never go back and it's greedy places like this that are ruining night life in Hollywood. That being said, once the caviar chips actually arrived, they were amazing, and all of the desserts were really good... especially when the staff remembered to bring utensils :) I know a lot of people come here for the photo booth, so I wanted to mention this too. A few of the girls in our group went toward the photo booth area and were approached pretty rudely by staff with comments like, "The fact that you guys got this far is ridiculous," and "These people paid a lot of money for the private event." We ended up asking the private party directly if we could take a photo, and they were actually kind enough to let us. If an area is closed off for a private event, guests should be informed when they arrive or when reservations are made. I had a reservation for 5 booked two weeks out. It was for my birthday, and I had confirmed it multiple times. THREE DAYS before our reservation, I get the most half-assed email basically saying "sorry we had to cancel your reservation. sucks for you". I emailed back expressing my concern and disdain for the way they handled the situation, and I have not heard back in four days. Thus, I'm writing this review. Not only did they cancel a reservation that had been standing for two weeks, but they did it 3 days before my scheduled reservation and acted with such a lack of care for the customer. Not only that, but their short notice of the cancellation made it almost impossible to get a reservation elsewhere. It is obvious that Galerie got bought out for an event by some influencer and prioritized PR and clout over a loyal customer base. I'm a reasonable person, but they cancelled my reservation and offered no resolution; no voucher, no priority booking, no message from the manager, literally nothing. I'm sure the food is good, and the service might usually be fine, but my experience with their shitty customer service team was anything but that. When paying for a nice/fine dining experience, I expect every facet of my time there to be handled with consideration - from booking to finish. Unfortunately, Galerie has not nailed down that part of the experience. read more
