This review is for the beginning of a business. They just opened a few weeks ago. I think they're still getting into their groove. We had a group of 12, so there were a lot of us to take care of and the staff was wonderful. They were helpful and so nice! I really appreciate it! They were poppin too for being so new. Great atmosphere and chill place to hang out. My cocktail, The BIGGIE SMALLS was nice and strong. It tasted like a good espresso martini to me. I also went for the BISTRO SALAD. It was lettuce, tomato, some sliced cabbage on top with a tarragon vinaigrette. The lettuce was nice and crispy but huge chunks of lettuce that you needed to cut to eat. I couldn't taste any tarragon. Not sure it's worth $14. The FRIES were perfectly seasoned and well cooked. As for the rest of the group, three medium rare steaks came medium well. The grilled cheese came with an overwhelming amount of mustard on it, which wasn't mentioned on the menu. All three people who tried the grilled cheese said they were not a fan of the mustard and didn't feel like it was necessary with all the awesome cheese! So it still feels like they're still getting their groove! With great service, location and music, they have a lot of potential. I think it's worth a try.

Blondie is a new cute and vibey rooftop restaurant in weho! It's super cute for a date night or a gno dinner. The wine list is very good and they have a lot of natural wine selection as well if you like orange wine. The staffs are friendly and attentive. The food is decent but the portions are kinda small for the price point. The shrimp toast is a must order app and it's super delicious. The hamachi ceviche was also delicious and it's paired with mangoes and jalapeños. The mezcal pasta is delicious and very unique in flavor as well. The Blondie bar for dessert was a bit underwhelming imo. Overall, good food, great ambiance and service!! Will def be back for a wine night :)

Lovely vibes, the food was delicious and the service was great. We had espresso martinis, the chop salad, the sweet potato, the Hamachi Crudo, and the fish special. All so good and so fresh. Will definitely be going back.

Super cute spot. The rooftop is cute and cozy perfect for summers in LA, with a nice amount of overflow space if needed. All staff members were attentive and nice. Food was solid and nicely priced. Will definitely be back

new rooftop on melrose was so good! the crispy artichokes paired well with the lemon aioli, the pasta was spicy with a mezcal flavor but also pesto and the burger was solid with horseradish onions. save room for dessert because the blondie bar was so good! there's nearby metered parking too

Came here excited to try this new restaurant! The girls at the host stand are very nice and helpful. However, our server was terrible. We saw her 3 times the entire night. One to take our whole order and then the second time at the end of our meal. I had to ask for the check and then the third time was her giving me the bill. She did not seem to care about any of her tables. We were out of water and wanted to order more drinks but not worth the effort. Saw the bussers more than her. The drinks we got were good! Food overall is good. The steak had good flavoring definitely order with something else and share it. The pasta was okay, it was spicy but also burned in spots and overall not the best. The fries were standard fries but good. Artichoke hearts were good but basic. The hamachi and mango ceviche was the highlight of the night. Fish was fresh and a thick cut. Blondie bar was good but over hyped too much whipped cream. If a layer had been taken off that would have been better. The restaurant itself is cute and outdoors however I don't know if it was just because it was Friday, but the music is so loud you can't really have a conversation without having to shout. If they work on the service here this place could probably do well.

I was really excited to check this place out because it's marketed as a rooftop bar, but I left feeling pretty underwhelmed. Technically it's on a rooftop, but the space is surrounded by high walls, so there's really only one viewpoint. Instead of feeling open with panoramic city views, it mostly just feels like you're sitting on an outdoor patio. If you're coming specifically for a rooftop experience, that was a bit disappointing. The food was also hard to justify for the price. A simple grilled cheese was over $20, and while we ordered the crudo expecting something elevated, the presentation felt surprisingly basic. It came with just a few long slices of fish and mango arranged in a way that looked more like deconstructed mango sticky rice than a thoughtfully plated dish. Nothing about it matched the premium price point. The blondie dessert was p good though. The service was fine.. nothing bad, but not particularly warm or memorable either. The location is definitely convenient and probably the biggest draw, but overall it felt more like you're paying for the address than the experience. Between the limited views, expensive food, and average service, I don't think I'd come back. It wasn't terrible, but it was definitely overhyped and, for me, incredibly mid.

Tried this place after hearing so much about it online. They had a menu change only being open for a short amount of time but that's okay. Our drinks were pretty good but I wish they were stronger as we felt not even the slightest buzz. The classic fries are what they are, just classic and tasty. We used the aioli that comes with the fried artichoke to dip them and it was really good. The fried artichoke was good as well but nothing special. The Japanese sweet potato presentation surprised me but it was pretty good. The blondie burger was a solid burger I loved the horseradish flavor in it my only complaint is that the bun was dry. The steak had good flavor as well but it was a little chewy, we still ate it all though! The dessert I will say was kinda overhyped. It was a little too sweet and had too much caramel in it it was a little overpowering. The ambiance was cute it's a cute rooftop and a nice casual option. Although the food was good, I knock off 2 stars because the service was weird. Our waitress wasn't inviting or warm at all and she made some moments awkward as well. She also couldn't answer menu item questions and just seemed like it was her first day or something (unless it was and she didn't disclose it). The food was also coming out very fast definitely too fast. We like to sit and enjoy our meal and our time. We were still working on the appetizers when the entrees were coming out and everything came out all at once almost. We were basically done eating in one hour. The food is good, but for the price you pay going here I was expecting a little more and the service and experience should be a little better as well. I think it's worth trying if you want to go maybe different nights have better experiences.

It was good. The spicy mezcal pasta and prawn toast were really yummy. I think all the dishes we got were good. The service was not good or bad but the entire ambiance of the restaurant felt young. The servers, bussers, hosts, all seemed extremely young, as if this was their first job so it just made the whole vibe of the place feel younger and less classy. The seating and general aesthetic of the place felt cheaper than what I like. Overall, I think it's worth going to if you're like 30 and younger.

Tonight we had the burger, prawn, artichokes, fries, hamachi and the soft serve which was delicious. Service was perfect and the drinks came out fast. I love that this location is two blocks from my house !

Once you're allowed entry, you are immediately transported to another world via beautifully decorated stairs to the check-in desk. The decor has got to be one of the best looking tiki bars out there. Wow, they hit this out of the park. The drink and food menu is fantastic in a wood covered binder. Naturally, we ordered the standard Mai Tai to start. The Lucky Tiki's take on the traditional 1944 Trader Vic Mai Tai is fantastic. Each Mai Tai comes with the Lucky Tiki swizzle stick and I happily kept the 3 we ordered to display in our home Tiki Bar. It's a bit pricey with drinks ranging from $22-$26, but that's to be expected in Weho and especially on Sunset Boulevard. Just something to keep in mind. The crowd was also so nice! We easily found a place to sit on the shaded outdoor dining area, all the time people were going inside the adjacent dining and dancing area for one of the Abbey's famous drag shows. I ordered the guacamole bacon cheeseburger with fries and my guest had the Philly Cheesesteak. My burger was cooked perfectly and looked great. The fries were fair, nothing to write home about. My guest loved his Philly Cheesesteak and it brought memories of the last time he ordered one more than a decade earlier. It's only fair that I mention the conduct of one of thr employees who appears to be a host. There was an ethnic couple (probably middle eastern) siting at the table next to us, dining and enjoying their meal, when this employee approached them and singled them out because of their ethnicity. He fawned all over them, loudly, apparently trying to be welcoming, all the while addressing them as "you people" and "we are open to people like you dropping in for a gold time." While he clearly wanted to be nice, he came off as condescending and racists and was very annoying to my guest and me and people at another table who muttered "what an idiot." On the positive sign the middle eastern couple didn't appear to be annoyed but, still, that's not the way first time guests should be addressed. We dropped in on the drag show after lunch but all seats were taken so we decided not to stand in the corner and watch. Getting smart, especially a good seat means arriving about an hour before the show. Today's show began at 1:30 pm. There are nearby parking lots, pricy and neighborhood parking if one can tolerate a moderate walk. The Abbey is an ice place to go, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.
