While the food was really fantastic, it was the unfortunate customer service that made this experience just okay. I'm not a huge fan of seat yourself because then servers don't know who hasn't been helped. However, it was not too busy and many servers looked at us, but didn't step in to ask if we had been helped. Right as we were about to leave (after about 15 minutes without being acknowledged) someone stepped up to help us. She was really friendly!!! The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was a thing of beauty. Everything came on the side so you could build the sandwich how you want to. I love adding bleu cheese to the sandwich because it compliments the Buffalo sauce so well. The flatbreads were perfect size if you aren't looking to devour a huge pizza. Comes on a plate, but looks delicious. Also don't you hate when you don't get any pictures of the food because you dive right into it before getting the chance. I guess that is when you you know the food did its job. The beer is cold & good while the food is beyond reheated disgusting old. I feel bad for the waitress because the service was awesome. I'd really like to give this Gallagher's a 3.5 since things were as expected and a bit more. I met friends here for an after work drink and a lite meal. Based on mixed reviews by other Yelpers, I was a bit skeptical about how this place would be in both service and food. Parking was easy as there is a lot in front with other businesses. When I arrived a bit after 4:30, there were a few customers and it wasn't busy at all. I grabbed a seat and was quickly asked what I wanted to drink. The server brought my water quickly and was friendly. My friends arrived within a few minutes and they too were asked for their drink order right away. It took us a bit to get through the menu as we were chatting, but our server didn't seem to mind. We didn't feel rushed at all. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad with the fried chicken (medium sauce) and ranch dressing on the side. Right now I wish I would have ordered the wings since the chicken in the salad was so, so yummy. The salad was fresh and pretty good. Our orders were perfect with no mistakes or issues. Our server checked on us several times but wasn't intrusive to our conversation at all. There are two things that bugged me a little. One, the server split our check in three without asking us. My friend's dish was not as expensive as ours so I didn't think that was "fair." We split it in thirds anyway since my friend is classy that way. Second, every once in a while smoke wafted into the restaurant from the patio. Be careful when you select your seat or ask to be moved if smoke really bothers you. Bathrooms are clean as is the establishment overall. Overall, a solid rating. I noticed lots of TVs so this would be a good place to watch sporting events. First time at Gallaghers. Arrived for Monday Night Football and it was 1/2 full. We ordered nachos, which were okay but the salsa was disappointing. More jarred taste than made-in-the-kitchen taste. I ordered Bill's Blue Cheese Burger and a beer. The burgers here are big, so I had trouble finishing but it was a good meal. The side of Bleu Cheese was very runny though. All told, we ordered one burger, one wrap, two baked potatoes and 8 drinks plus nachos for $76 plus tip. Pretty High for bar food. The entrées were ample but the sides were sparse. Service was great. Lindsay was efficient, followed through with special requests and checked in on us appropriately. I wasn't overwhelmed but I'll probably try Gallagher's again. read more

I have driven by this place hundreds of times and never stopped. The parking lot always seems to have cars in it, especially at happy hour on weekdays. They offer typical sports bar type food. My chili was very watered down and my guess is from a can. My salad was wilted and my loaded baked potato was good but came out on a bed of greasy Chinese fried noodles. ??????? Nice big patio with a bar and service. Some of the chairs are ripped and seem to have seen better days but it gives the place a dive bar kind of feel. The server spent a long time checking our ids, even tho we're clearly not under the age, and telling us how she checks everyone in case they are cops blah blah blah guess what she does for a living blah blah blah guess how old she is blah blah. Of course she didn't mention happy hour. When I asked her if there was one, she said yeah you but it was 3 minutes ago. Well at least we're not cops. We came to town for an event and decided on Gallagher's for dinner. Always looking for a local establishment and not a chain while visiting new places. Atmosphere was of a good sports bar and grill with plenty of game choices on dozens of TVs. Highlight was their food. 7 in our party and we ordered numerous things and everyone was happy with their choice. What happened guys? When I moved here 8 years ago, this was the spot! I moved to another part of town, moved back and was excited to start going to Gallaghers again. I've been a handful of times this year, today was thr last time. Food took an hour or more to hit the table, and did so, cold. I don't send food back, especially when it took an hour to get out the first time, but I should have, and my buddy did send his back. Server annoyingly apologetic and at one point tried to sit down with is to explain why it took so long to get our order. I asked about dessert for my kiddo and was told I could order it but it would take forever to come out. None of the food was hot or that good, service was terrible. Add multiple broken TV's and what's left? I really want y'all to be good again, this part of town needs a good sports bar. read more

Wow, this place has some terrible reviews. I decided to eat here a few times before forming an opinion just in case. I would not say by any stretch of the imagination that this is a cool, hip, stylish local place. What it is, is a fine place close to my house, that allows (encourages, even!) dogs on the patio and will feed you and offer you a cold beer. If you're looking for innovative, local, trendy restaurants, look elsewhere. If you live close and want a no frills bite to eat and a beer, go here. The wine selection sucks but it's cheap. The service is also not terrible. It's a busy bar and they do a good job to check on everyone every once in a while. There's also a side of the restaurant that is booths if you don't want to sit in the bar area. My husband loves wings, and they were happy to accommodate him with four wings of each type of wing sauce so he could sample the ones that sounded the best to him. I have no complaints about Gallaghers. It's not nearly as bad as all of the reviews below. It's just a neighborhood bar with food and tvs. Good for either hanging out with friends or takeout. We moved into the area about 7 months ago and there really aren't a lot of good neighborhood restaurants without being fast food, so we started coming here with our family. We've always liked their food and the servers have always been super nice. As a previous poster noted, I also dislike when restaurants have "please seat yourselves" and last night was proof that seating arrangements and sections are needed in restaurants, not only to help servers not have to run back and forth but also to eliminate waiting for the initial "hello, here are menus". The place was pretty busy last night and it seemed that they were clearly understaffed for how busy they were. It took at least 15 minutes for the server (Jeffrey) to bring us menus and take drink orders, which he apologized for the wait. Once we finally ordered our food, it took an hour and a half from the time we sat down to the time our food arrived. We have 2 small children and still needed to feed them and get them ready for bed, it's now their bedtime and they are just now eating dinner. Jeffrey was super nice and kept apologizing but he explained that it was just he and another server on for the entire restaurant and the kitchen was also behind which is why the wait for our food was so long. Not one time did a manager come by and explain the wait or even apologize but the manager on duty that evening (CJ) was just outside hanging out with people drinking. Clearly not worried about making sure things are running smoothly but just schmoozing instead. By the time our food came we had to ask for boxes and the check and frankly I wasn't even hungry anymore. It shouldn't be the job of the server to apologize for any wait and the manager should have stepped in to help where needed and also make the rounds to all patrons who have to wait. I'm completely disappointed in the experience we had last night and will not be bringing our family back until something changes. From the looks of all the other reviews from even 3 months ago, it seems that this place has a consistent history of not running a great place to eat. If you want to go for a drink at the bar you may have a different experience. I hope that Jeffrey gets a better job at a better place because he doesn't deserve to sink with this ship. read more

Should of known- tried again and disappointed again! This time for breakfast. Ordered ham skillet but ham straight from lunch meat ham. I -even asked the waitress and she just smiled. Potatoes are reheat not fresh since the middle was still cold. Eggs ordered over- easy was over-hard. Also ordered BLT. Brown wilted lettuce I pulled off. Bacon were in bits not strips. I eat here for lunch frequently. I have always found the service to be fantastic. They are attentive and fast. Love to sit outside on their patio. Tried the fish and chips, both grilled and fried, and both were dry and tasted kind of old. Their waffle fries were very good, as were their shoestring fries. I've stopped in Gallagher's a time or two in the past year. What a nice sports bar. Tons of TVs all around. The outside patio is always packed and a lot of TVs out there too. I absolutely think this is a fantastic place to go watch a game. I wouldn't go here if you're looking for anything that resembles fine dining. This is strictly bar food. There's nothing exciting to mention about the food at all and I've pretty much stopped eating there and will only have a drink when I go there with the occasional order of fries. I like their martini menu. They have these cute sweet martini's for 6 bucks. They also have 4 Peaks Kiltlifter on tap and some other local beers. What makes me come back from time to time on Saturday nights? The karaoke. There is a little lady that comes on Saturdays who wears her cowboy hat and sings her country music. Then, there's me. The country loving black girl with the big curly afro who gets up and murders a Gretchen Wilson song! Oh, just murder the song. Poor song has died a million deaths at my hand, I'm sure. If you are on that side of town, perhaps staying at the Legacy down the street, you will find that this place is AWESOME for catching a game while you're in town on vacation. 50% of the times I've gone here was a game night and the place was packed with people, particularly that patio and the bar. These folks Lehrer at Gallagher's must really be hurting. Haven't been here in a couple of years and when I saw this store I was surprised as I thought they had all closed. Well this one must not be far from closing as they have resorted to gouging their customers. The Basic Burger is 15 bucks and it is mediocre at best. French Dip, 15 bucks and again below average, the Meat was severely over cooked and the French Fries we like warm and in seasoned. I had the salad which by the way was not too bad, however it was not much larger than a Dinner salad with a few pieces of chicken. But here is the kicker. Not thinking we ordered three orders of wings, or so we thought. We ordered three dozen wings of different flavors, we were asked if we wanted them Baked or grilled or both. We asked for both which sounded quite tasty. To be completely transparent they were as expected and were good. When we received our check we noticed it was quite high even for 5 people. We we reviewed the check we realized that we were charged 20.00 for each order of the wings and they are $8.00 per half Dozen and an extra 1.00 for Baked and an extra dollar to put them on the grill. So basically we were very surprised. When all said and done for two sandwiches and a salad and 3 orders of wings 3 sodas and 2 waters, we were well over 125.00 dollars for lunch. High prices for lower quality food! Bye the way the service was great! However for this amount of money we will be going somewhere to eat! Good luck to them. By the way this was the salad. read more

I have been coming to Gallagher's sports bar off and on for years and have always had a good experience and tasty food. Some of these reviews were awful and I can't see why. They must have come on a very bad day or are just too picky. This is a fun sports bar with a million TVs playing various sports, fun chatty waitresses and it can get noisy. It is supposed to be noisy in a Sports Bar, no? Shannon the bartender is just the coolest, fun, easy going person and always gives great service! My food has always been fantastic. I have had nachos, chicken cordon bleu sandwiches, chicken fingers, and a number of different burgers that were all cooked well and delicious. I also love their small cut, crispy french fries. Upon entering you can notice it is a large, clean sports bar with a very good amount of televisions. Seating is self serve. I waited a bit longer than I like to get the attention of a server, and had to flag one down, but after doing so, got immediate and fast service. The place was packed. The food never fails to be pleasing. It is all the usual bar food, so do not expect anything but bar food. Along those guidelines: it is top shelf. The have daily deals every day, as well as early bird and late night deals. Taco Tuesday, Wing Wednesday, Thursday Trivia, big fat fish frydays; and so on. I may be biased slightly since it is in walking distance of my home, but I would recommend the location. Edit: I changed my rating from a 4 to 3 star because of service. I was willing to accept the fact that we got lost at first in the busy shuffle, but when it came time to take care of the check, I had to get up and find someone to process our check so we could leave.
