    The tears they made

    This experience makes me reconsider every 1 star review I've ever left. The shoe "expert" took my shoe, TORE IT while inspecting it, and refused to take accountability. We eventually came to an agreement on what work would be done on the shoes. The next day the store owner called me and yelled many profanities and going on an incoherent tirade. He ended off by telling me he'd still work on my shoes if I signed a waiver . All in all my shoes are WORSE off for having gone here

    I've been going to Harry since the late 2000s. You can tell he enjoys what he does by explaining about various leathers and processes. These are my latest jobs they did for me. A resole on the loafers with painted soles. The bluchers had a tear on the right side. Both of these shoes were worn heavily for around a decade. They did a great job to make them look good again.

    Last two holes are right of center

    I brought in a belt a week ago and a young man had placed the holes well, so I brought in two more Madewell brand belts this week. A different gentleman helped me and I felt like he was somewhat careless about the hole placement because they are both pretty off center. There is nothing I can do now but I wouldn't bring any belts in the future.

    Got the red bottoms on my Christian Louboutins repaired after YEARS of wear -- and wow, they look brand NEW! No idea what magic he did, but the results were AMAZING. Liked his work so much I brought my girlfriend's heels in a few weeks later and same amazing work. Great quality, great prices -- I'm never going anywhere else.

    (Serviced 09/20/18 TH @ 5:00pm): No one will care more about your shoes than this legacy tenant in the Glendale Galleria! Since my very first pair of Doc Marten's to various dress shoes through now, Galleria Shoe Care had been my place to go for whatever ailed my kicks. Because I always hung out and worked at the Glendale Galleria growing up I was familiar with this store at the time only for replacement shoe laces. But with a more extensive array of serious footwear that went beyond my flip-flops, slip-ons, and tennys, I needed them more than ever. With my first visit to their new relocation still within the mall (now alongside the Glendale Police Department Sub-Station), would there be any other changes to be mindful of!? PURCHASE Shoe Repair & Shine ($40.00): My favorite pair of simple black dress shoes made by J. Crew costed me under $100, but over the years they needed some TLC, and I had a very important event coming up. The biannual regluing of the soles and buffed-and-polished treatment had these babies looking almost brand new; even the creases seemed to have been ironed-out and more smooth! I couldn't exactly see my mug in the shine of the shoes, but they had a gleam about them. SERVICE I was immediately greeted by the owner - a friendly older gentleman - when I initially dropped off my shoes to be repaired earlier in the week. Although we never remembered each other's names, we always recognized each other and was given his undivided attention. He explained what needed to be done, offered some suggestions, took my shoes, and said to come back in a couple days. Once I returned, the shoes as usual were beautifully taken care of and should have plenty of miles in them for at least another couple of years. The entire staff was aces in my book; needless to say, I continued to be another satisfied customer! PARKING (FREE) Located inside the Glendale Galleria, there were a ton of spaces throughout the massive parking structures. If so inclined, the mall also offered valet service - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A store now about three times the size of their previous hole-in-the-wall (seriously!), it was a simple layout with a ton of space in the front with a slightly arced counter that ran the length of the shop. With a plethora of free-standing and wall racks filled with accessories, it was nice to see all of these items spaced out versus the former claustrophobic set up. A couple stools were place in front of the counter which made me want to order a drink! A glimmer of natural lighting came through the nearby glass doors that connected the upper parking structure, while a flood of electric recessed ceiling lighting amply covered the rest. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. Sure, I may only visit every couple of years, but like an old pair of shoes...the comfort level was there. I'm sure they offered more services than what I used them for, but I honestly couldn't tell you. If anything, I enjoyed the small business mom-and-pop feel and sensibility extended to each customer, I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $43.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice...AMEX! 5.0 STARS

    Updating my review to 4 stars…read more I picked up my items today, and I'm pleased to say they look great, as they always have. The tailoring was done exactly as expected, which is consistent with the quality I've come to rely on after being a customer here for many years. The storefront employee was contrite, offered a sincere apology, and provided a full refund for the order. While the refund itself was not the primary issue for me, the principle behind it -- acknowledging the inconvenience and taking responsibility -- meant the most. I truly appreciate the professionalism shown during this follow-up interaction. Based on how this was handled, I am willing to look past what I hope was a one-time issue and continue using their service moving forward. End of update ________________________________________________________________________ I have been a loyal customer of this dry cleaner for many years and have consistently trusted the quality of service--until my most recent experience. Last week, I brought in two pairs of denim. One pair was to be cleaned and used as a tailoring reference for a new pair. I prepaid for the services and was given a written promise date of 2/14 for pickup. When I arrived on the promised date, I was informed that my items were not ready. The employee at the front counter, who appears to be new, simply stated, "Sorry, we don't have your items today. You'll have to come back Monday." There was no acknowledgment of the inconvenience of making a trip on the scheduled date, nor any effort to offer a reasonable accommodation. When I expressed concern, the situation became more disappointing. Instead of taking responsibility for missing the promised date, the employee turned the issue around and said, "You've been coming here for years--when have we ever made a mistake for you?" It felt as though he was using my long-standing loyalty as a way to dismiss the current mistake, rather than valuing it. Being a long-term customer should not be used against someone to minimize a legitimate concern. If anything, it should warrant greater care and professionalism. When I reiterated that I was relying on the written promise date provided to me, he escalated the interaction by raising his voice, speaking over me, and ultimately suggesting that I take my business to another dry cleaner in the future. Mistakes can happen in any business. However, how those mistakes are handled is what defines customer service. Unfortunately, this interaction reflected very poor service, particularly from the new storefront employee. It was surprising and disappointing, especially given my many years as a customer. I will return on Monday to retrieve my items and hope the matter concludes more positively. Depending on that outcome, I may revisit my review. However, the way this situation was handled was not appropriate and not the level of service loyal customers should expect.

What the hell is she talking about "it's impossible" to fix this dress Also I wanted to share a story about a pair of Abercrombie and Fitch jeans I bought almost two years ago. Unfortunately, I can no longer return them, and they don't make smaller sizes in this specific style. When I had tried them on, they were quite large, to the point where she felt it was ridiculous and that I would need to go down three pant sizes. She attempted to fix them, and they looked decent, but I believe the tailor I took my OTHER DRESS she claimed was IMPOSSIBLE TO FIX could have made them look even better. Regardless, these jeans were just sitting in my closet, so I decided to try and do something with them instead of letting them gather dust. that being said I will never return to pristine cleaners ever again The lady is usually in a badass mood ANYWAY

He made the whole process easy and stress-free. Within 24 hours, he texted me that the shoes were ready for pickup, which was impressive. Not only did he double-stitch the areas that were falling apart and make them solid again, but he also cleaned the shoes, which was a really nice touch. They looked great when I picked them up. I brought a pair of boots to narrow the shaft and was told it was do able and of course right after mentions his quote of " i am a repair shop not a manufacturer" and charges immediately upfront.. I guess knowingly that if the outcome is bad he can speak to you any way he wants as you are obviously not going to get a refund for his messed up job. Even if you try to explain your dissatisfaction he will NOT listen and verbally attack with bad words in front of his daughter and wife and not take grant it for his messy job. Shame on you! Please do yourself a favor and don't get fooled by the 4.8 reviews on Yelp. This man has zero manners. Below are the pics of how crooked my shaft is and had to ask him to clean his messy glue stains off my shoe. So if you want your shoes ruined it's the perfect spot!
