She must think bad about everyone who's on Medi-Cal not knowing that veterans, people who have fallen on hard times that work and have put their hard earned money into the tax dollar system are on Medi-Cal as well. We recently moved to Galt and we found them. Such nice people and the service was great will be going back every year for sure.

So i finally went in for an eye exam. I was pleased when this place told me they had openings for my wife and i the very next week. This place was nice. Parking and location were great, as was the staff working here. Friendly and knowledgeable and before we knew it we were done and on our way. This is my kind of place. read more

I visited Galt, Ca on A Social Media Assignment and was only in town for a few hours , so I happen to find this place in town. First impressions, lovely , bright and cheerful design aesthetic with adorable welcoming eyeglass decor throughout , which made it very Welcoming ! I needed my very expensive eyeglasses with me that I'm always afraid I'm going to damage so I called and spoke to Carolina , the Office Manager here . She was the kindest , most caring , most understanding and accommodating to my needs in such an efficient amount of time !! Needless to say, Carolina , you rock !!! You made it happen! I've been coming to Galt Family Optometric for about three years and have found that they are always professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Their optician knows what she's doing and is happy to fix my glasses even without an appointment (and free of charge). One time, I ordered new glasses and when I got them, they were blurry and not to my prescription. When I brought it to their attention, they broke out some fancy tech and did some really good troubleshooting. Found out that there was a defect detected that came from the factory when the lenses were manufactured. They happily sent my glasses back to be remade at no additional charge. I'm glad that we have such an outstanding eye care center here in Galt. Keep up the great work! read more

Horrible Money Hungry place. This place is dirty unorganized and did I mention greedy. Came with my own prescription and they didn't honor it just so they could bill my insurance for another exam ( which was exactly like the one I brought in) Only came here because it's local..... never again!!! read more

I normally don't write any reviews, but after going here close to 9 years and what they pulled. I walk in the other day with a broken pair of glasses, the Eyes dr was at the counter along with the receptionist. I ask would these glasses be fixable? she examines them, and I say I sure hope they can be as I usually don't wear prescription since slightly far-sighted but yet they sell me glasses every year for an eye exam. I go to get my eyes checked mainly from my medical Dr advice since I am diabetic. But every time I come out spending money on glasses even with my insurance. I end up trying to wear them for about 2-3 weeks and usually stop. I don't know how many pairs of glasses you sold me throughout the years as I think I have spent at least 1,500$ on glasses that I don't end up wearing. At the end of my recent appointment, they have me talked into buying a new pair. At the end of the discussion with the glasses lady I ask again you sure these glasses cant be fixed? As I finally have been wearing these for close to 6 months now. She gives me a flyer to a place in Stockton that fixed my glasses for 40$. Of course, this was well after I committed to buying a new pair. I don't even like these new pair as the prescription is not the same as the ones that I got fixed. I think I have realized this lady is greedy. read more

I have been going here for a number of years. I am finally ready to say, I fed up. You dont get your glasses for weeks, when you do, they are wrong. They never answer the phone and I have had my husbands glasses on back order for almost a year and they never called up, but better believe i got billed for them. Took my daughter in for an exam, everything went smoothly. We ordered some glasses, they said they would take 2 weeks. Three weeks later I call to see what is going on and make an appointment to pick them up (to be fit). They have 2 signs 'walk-ins welcome, appointments seen first.' After arriving 5 minutes before appt time and signing in some lady walks in goes to the counter and gets her glasses. We've been waiting almost 30 minutes. I ask when my daughter will be seen and point out the sign, no apology from staff, she just asks if I bothered to sign in. YES, I did 30 minutes ago when the appt was actually scheduled. I want to support local business but not if you treat your customers like crap. We'll be looking for another office unfortunately. read more

I've tried to be cheap and go to Costco for my exam, but you get what you pay for. This place is awesome. Everyone is super knowledgeable and professional. (And not THAT much more expensive) Night and day difference between the crappy prescription I got from Costco and theirs. With Galt Family, I can see!! Woohoo! I'm very happy with the services and products I received from Galt Family Optometric. The staff was very kind and attentive. I purchased clear glasses and sunglasses. They made sure they were comfortable and I could see well out of them. I had the clear glasses for a week before I brought them back. I should have listened to their recommendations since I did have both pairs redone. And they didn't charge me. I've been going there for over 7 years. I noticed when I went in June the office has had a nice makeover. I would recommend them to my family and friends. read more

Absolutely just the best service and great Doctor! I used to go to Dr. Oye and he was really great, now I see Dr. Sakai and she is amazing! Kind and really concerned about her patients. I love that she knows her stuff and really goes above and beyond! Best service I've ever had by an eye doctor. She squeezed me in on late notice today and I found out I had an eye infection, thank goodness she caught it and I'm able to get it taken care of! :) read more

There is a lady that helps with the glasses fitting, and she's lovely. The main eye doctor, she is very rude. I went in to get a new pair of glasses, and everything went well. When I received the glasses, the prescription was so off, I had headaches, was dizzy, and felt nauseous. I went in to fix the problem, and I told her that my right eye was significantly blurry. She said "well there's nothing else I can change on that". I trusted her and took the new prescription, but had the same problem. I spent all week struggling with my vision but asked if they could retest me because my vision was terrible. She was talking at a high volume saying "WHY is she back?! Do her OLD glasses look CLEAR?" I couldn't believe how openly rude she was being, and I had been really polite throughout the whole ordeal. She came into the room and said "hi..... what do you need today?" I told her "my old glasses and my new glasses are very blurry." She reexamined me, and said "oh. Well. It looks like so it's a little different." My right eye was .75 off, and my left eye was .25 off of what it should've been. My vision is amazing now, but I'm never going back there. read more

My wife has been going to Galt Optometric center for years until just recent. We switched insurance and gave the staff our new insurance information that would pay for the full visit. But later that year we received a bill for the exam. The staff had made a mistake and never billed our insurance and asked us to pay the bill when we had insurance. We tryed to resolve the situation and explain this was there mistake but finally gave up and instead of paying a lawyer to fight the bill we paid it. Also I was the one with the insurance so they sent me bills in my name when I was never a patient. I should call Curtis on channel 13 but the most time I want to spent on this situation is writing this review. My wife will never go back and hopefully this one review will help someone else. What happens if our bill was thousands of dollars i they just going to make the same mistake. This is bad business people have to take responsibility for there mistakes. read more

Even though I now live an hour away I still bring my entire family here. The office is friendly and looks great. The doctors and staff are patient with my child. Their products have a good quality at great low prices. I recommend this optometrist for anyone wanting an eye exam, contacts, seeing glasses and sun glasses!! I was referred by a friend to this office and Dr Kim was wonderful with my son. He didn't have insurance so we came in on a special they were running. We picked out upgraded frames so I was aware there was an additional cost and was fine with that. But then I received a bill that was not just for my frames but for extra charges for the exam that was originally included in my frames expenses. I offer to pay additional costs for better frames, completely out of pocket without insurance and then they stick me with an even larger bill without even letting me know! Very upset with front office staff and communication. Although dr was nice I won't be back due to front office lack of communication and lack of customer service. read more
