It's been like pulling teeth to get them to order a simple part and show up to install it. I kid you not the part is just a special screw. I've been living life without a microwave now for 4 months, and it's because this company can't get it's act together. Granted, I've rediscovered the joys of reheating food on my stovetop and there are bigger things in life to worry about. I'm just amazed by how this company is still in business if they refuse to help their customers.

The repairman had to take out the bottom freezer drawer to do that since it's in the back and he was pretty rough getting the drawer out. The charge to replace that switch was $400. Then, a couple months later the freezer drawer would hardly come out. I suspect the repairman damaged it while yanking out the drawer but he said it was the rails that were bad and that they he has seen this in many bottom freezer units. I'm not sure that's accurate. My wife and I both think he damaged it getting it out. Anyway, he wanted to charge us an additional $400 to replace the rails. We asked what the alternative was since we had already paid them over $400 to change a switch and he said we could try some silicone spray. Then he wrote us a bill for his visit and charged us another $95 to do nothing. Ridiculous and we will never use this place again. Now, my bottom drawer won't come out much, I've spent about $500 on a 2 year old refrigeration. By the way, they recommended this refrigerator when we bought it 2 years ago.

The good: Reasonable prices, friendly technicians, were able to be booked on short notice…read more The bad: I caught a mistake myself that would have caused some drywall damage if I didn't convince/ show them before the left. In summary, my laundry room was recently painted and the dryer vent ducting came out of the back of the machine. I tried to fix it myself but when I pushed the machine back against the wall the duct kept coming off. Unfortunately I found this out by leaking a whole dryer load worth of hot air into my house (fortunately we have an electric dryer so it wasn't bad fumes). Anyways, I yelped around to find a good local company, and strawberry appliance was able to make it out within a few hours. The guys were friendly, replaced the duct from the wall to the machine with a more pliable one so that would stop coming undone, and all this went well. The issue was the connection on the opposite side of the wall had come undone from the work they did, so essentially all the hot air wouldn't have ducted directly outside. I'm sure this would have caused some moisture issues, and I would have expected them to check that before they wrapped up, but they appreciated me catching it and were able to quickly and easily fix it. Overall I would use them again, but would keep an eye out as they haven't fully gotten my trust yet due to the one mistake on the one time they came out.

Requested service was front loading, stackable, washing machine repair…read more This was a very expensive repair, in our case we should have been advised to replace the unit versus repair as the actual cost were within range of a new identical unit. We were not advised of the cost or given an estimate until the work was completed. At this point we were desperate. The work completed was not done correctly the first time, and we had to call the service back out, which took more time to coordinate. Then after another assessment parts had to be ordered, and additional charges applied (they did not charge additional labor). Several more weeks went by without update from the service company. The final work performed appears to be sound; however, be warned this service contractor is not responsive (phone or text) and requires the customer to follow-up repeatedly. Most cases took 4-6 attempts. The repair service is about average, 2.5 stars is what I would estimate is fair, this could have been dramatically improved with better communication to a 4-5. I would "maybe" recommend this company, if there were no other immediate options. The reason they were selected is because they were referred by our condo, and initially they responded to the first request quickly, it was each subsequent contact and follow-up where better communication was left to be desired. Cost wise they are expensive, if you plan to use them do your due diligence, make sure that the repairs they suggest do not supersede the cost of a new appliance, they will not be forthcoming with this information. When I mentioned this to the owner Fredy, he said "I know."
