My nail tech referred me to this place today because I told her that I love trying other cultures food. Parking a private lot on the side of the building. I ordered take away. The do have a restaurant and bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere: it's a small area to pick up food so it's quiet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The woman who was there whenI picked my food up was nice. They offer garlic, tomatoes, cucumbers and more in brine. They have sauces of different spice level. They offer different type of preserves. I could make out Figs and strawberry. Georgian drinks are offered too!!!! I was like a kid in the candy store!!! I only purchased garlic in brine but I will be back!! The items were reasonably priced too!!! OK ok now that I'm done with their awesome homemade items, the food. My nail tech suggested the following: 1:Eggplant with walnuts: it was cold. It was eggplant folded with a Walnut paste that had herbs and garlic in it topped with pomegranates. Looking at it, I thought I would not like it but omg!!!! This was my favorite!!!! 2:Khachapuri "Imeruli" which is theory version of a pizza. It's a fluffy piece of dough with cheese stuffed in it. The cheese was mild and delicious! Who knew bread and cheese warmed could taste this good!! This was my second favorite! 3: Dumpling: I didn't care for this. It lacked flavor. Overall I enjoyed my food and I can't wait to go back!!

If you're looking for delicious, traditional Georgian food then come to Gamarjoba. We came on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and were seated right away. Everyone was so so good. Even the chicken nuggets my daughter for were crispy and seemed like they were freshly breaded and fried. The khachaluri was cheesy and flaky and the khinkali melt in your mouth. Can't wait to go back

I drive past this restaurant daily for years and have never visited. This weekend, I had the chance to! Ive never had Georgian food before and was unsure of what to expect. But, I'm so glad I tried it. The bread was phenomenal and I definitely ate 3/4 of it by myself. Service was very attentive and friendly, especially being as though I was unsure of what to order and she provided a breakdown for me. So helpful! On top of the food, this place was a total vibe. The beer garden is a nice touch. We didn't have a reservation to sit in the main dining area and it was truly packed! People were dancing and having a great time. The only negative is it's really hard to have a conversation since it's soooo loud! Other than that, everything was great and I'm glad I gave it a try!

***FAIR WARNING. PRICES SHOWN ON MENUS HERE ARE ON YELP ARE OUTDATED AND THE PRICES LISTED FOR EACH DISH ARE AT LEAST $2-3 HIGHER*** Delicious food when seated at the beer garden. You can NOT sit in the main dining room without an existing reservation, but the beer garden was honestly a very pleasant, open vibe that was more to my taste. I ordered a bottle of the semi-sweet red wine (delicious) but also sampled the white variety of this same brand and it was a light, delicious, crisp wine with a very mellow and enjoyable flavor, but I opted for this equally delicious red to pair with the meat selections of the entrees. For a party of 3 with 3 entrees (refer to photos), 2 appetizers and a bottle of wine, the bill before tip was ~$126. The beets with walnut was so fresh and minty with a lovely texture. The cheese boat was the favorite of the night! The kebab was super tasty! The dumplings were juicy and full of flavor and spice the was nicely complimented by the texture of the dumpling noodle. The beef stew was a bit more spicy than expected. I recommend asking them to hold the jalapeño if you aren't one for a bit of added heat. Service was EXTREMELY attentive... sometimes a bit quick to clear a napkin from that table that wasn't quite ready to be collected, but that's definitely better than the alternative. The atmosphere was fresh, space was clean and music was elevated to make the overall experience relaxed but fun. Overall, giving 4 out of 5 stars simply because the prices seem a bit more than they should be when compared to other local, comparable venues. I recommend going with a party and doing a family style to truly experience the variety of what they have to offer. Lunch menus are always 15% off the dinner menu price but they don't offer a military discount (if that's something you want to know in advance).

The directions took us to the other side of the restaurant which was not the parking area. We finally got to the smaller street where parking was and I didn't think it was correct since about 5 men were outside by a door, smoking. We drove around and back to the parking area and parked after realizing they were hanging out by the entrance. After walking through the door, one man from the group was saying something to us but we didn't understand. We were seated and ordered. The food came out pretty quickly. Everything was great. The service was ok. Once the food was dropped off, it was hard to get anyone to get us boxes when we finished eating. We ate the leftovers the next day and the food was even better. I loved the food and may never eat there again but maybe we can order takeout (if it's available).

Was referred to this place by fellow Yelper Gerald S. Initially entered the main dining room which was bustling on a Sunday afternoon. Guy at door told us to go around to the "beer garden" entrance which is a large sunny room with a bar. Much quieter, altho I suspect it perks up later. The menu is in English, Georgian and Russian. We ordered a fantastic Khachapuri Imeruli, a very rich gooey cheese pizza type concoction between layers of pastry; Khinkali lamb stew with tomatoes and vegetables served in a black pot which was savory. I had dumplings (Chanakhi) which were stuffed with very beautifully seasoned ground lamb. Also got a nice fresh Greek salad. The temptation is great to order too much food as it is very rich. Upon being seated we requested water. We were brought two bottles of water. This irks me, as I find tap water is perfectly fine and don't want to pay $2 a bottle for water. Plus I hate plastic bottles. I seem to run into this trend lately and it's a silly one. I probably could have asked for tap water instead but didn't want to start off on a complaint right off the bat. However, when the bill came, there was no charge for the water! Go figger. Still...plastic. Service quick and friendly. Bathrooms clean. Free parking.

Amazing atmosphere and tons of natural light. Really refreshing place to eat at. The service is great; everything came out fast, the waitresses are nice and helpful. Khinkali Lamb: 4/5 Pretty solid dish. Super juicy; good flavors. Khachapuri Adjaruli (cheese boat) 3/5: very rich, heavy, and delicious. The bread itself is well made. The only issue was it was too salty. Shqmeruli: 5/5 likely my favorite dish! Super creamy and rich sauce that paired well with the well cooked chicken! It would be nice if the sauce was added at the table instead cause there is no crisp ones to the chicken. Ostri: 5/5 delicious tender beef that falls apart in your mouth. Easily one of the best dishes. Imeruli Kupati: 3.5/5 a little bit too salt but love how aromatic the sausage is. Tiramisu: 4/5 Solid tiramisu and not too swee Pistachio Ricotta Cake: 3/5: decent cake. Flavors meld ok. Could be a little sweeter. Pistachio flavors are a little off. Overall: service is great and the food is ok. Majority of the dishes were too salty. This is coming from someone that love salt and vinegar chips and salted fish. 100% be ready for a food coma after due to all the salt.

Gamarjoba is a Republic of Georgia eatery on Bustleton Avenue in the far Northeast Philadelphia. It is the latest of a series of restaurants at that location and we should hope that it has the legs to persevere and thrive. The dining room is nicely appointed, with the Georgia coat of arms on the wall as you walk in. Everyone there speaks Russian or English, and of course the native tongue of the homeland. We ordered Ajapsandali as an appetizer (cold tomato, potato and green pepper in a semi spicy base), Lamb Mtsvadi (kebab with interesting onion garnish) and Chicken Chqmeruli (small roasted breast/wing in a terrific garlic reduction). The app was excellent with uniquely spiced sauce that was addictive, and enhance when placed on the outstanding bread for robust bite and grind. The lamb was cooked beyond our medium finish and lacked the juiciness desired, but still decent (the reason for 4 out of 5 Stars). The prize of the show was the chicken, which appeared the size of squabs, was moist and tender and covered in delicious white garlic finish. We found ourselves scooping up the gravy with the awesome bread; it was that good. Service was friendly and informative. This was our first go with Georgian cuisine and we appreciated the explanations and suggestions offered by our server. Bread is provided with an extra charge, but well worth the money. It is wonderful. Parking along the side of the building is easy to miss, so drive slowly as you approach on Bustleton so you can safely make the turn.

Absolutely delicious food and incredible service…read more I've lived in this area the majority of my life and only recently dined at this restaurant. I am not an adventurous eater, but I could kick myself for not going sooner. The food was that delicious and very importantly reasonably priced. My husband and I decided to try it during a date night, and I can't wait to go back. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our starter was Tandoori Samsa. Our entrees were the Classic Lamb and Plov Samarkand. For dessert we shared the Pahlava. If I had to change anything I would have ordered my own Pahlava. We are already planning to go back for his birthday with the whole family.

We found out that most of the people (regulars) who usually come here are on their vacation season so it was not an issue getting a six-top reservation with only a day's notice. The restaurant is huge with at least two mega rooms downstairs and one upstairs. We actually went to the upstairs door to check in only to be told we had to go to the downstairs door and check in there. Once we did, the staff asked if we would be ok with being in the "party" room where there would be a DJ. We were fine with that and the staff was more than happy to accommodate us. Once at our table, the extensive menus made it almost too difficult to decide what we wanted. May want to consider reducing the food options here. My wife and I split a tomahawk steak. Once we ordered it, we were told we should probably move to an eight-top because we would have more space. The place was almost empty at 6:15pm on a Saturday so we got to move and give us some more room. We also had two serving of Plov, a prime NY strip, a roasted beet salad, and a chicken fingers with fries. We added some bread, too, along with some compote. The Plov was some of the best we've ever had with lots of tender meat. Both steaks were cooked to our liking. Fries were killer and the chicken fingers were fine. I did not care for the compote as I'm used to it with fruit still in the drink. At about 7pm, the DJ started but there was no separate party which is what we thought was going to show up. The DJ sang some and played up-tempo dance music but also threw in some known music like Ob-Bla-Dee Ob-Bla-Dah from the Beatles also in the dance music style. So much fun after drinking a lot of our BYOB alcohol. Service was excellent and more than accommodating for us. He even advised when we were getting ready to leave that it was raining hard and we could stay until it died down. The restaurant is colorful with lights and designs on the walls including projector lights and white linen sheets above. The place was clean and also the bathrooms on the lower rear level. $305 not including tip for six adults which included two steaks, two Plov, chicken fingers with fries, three breads, and a compote. I mention a lot with my reviews that I'd come back to a place. I really can't wait to return to Samarkand! It was just a lot of fun with excellent food and service. I hope it's just as good when the place is slammed and full.

We were actually looking for the Turkish kitchen, but we're happily distracted by the new tenant. Without reservations, we were directed to the outdoor seating in front of the building. Not a bad place to eat and drink, with heavily urethaned picnic tables and large umbrellas overhead. Our server was very helpful and hospitable, understanding we had little experience with Georgian food and less with their vineyards. We were invited to sample the wines in house. She poured a dry red for us that we both liked and ordered a glass for each of us. It was drier than a merlot, and more like a cabernet . Its Georgian name escapes me. We ordered Borscht soup and Adjaruli Kharchapuri for me and Pork BBQ for son 'o mine, which was a 50% off special. The Borscht was served hot with plenty of red beet and chunks of beef. A small dish of sour cream was offered to lighten/sweeten the flavor. My grandmother made this dish, but served it cold with a hot boiled potato thrown in for heat and added texture rather than meat. Liked this version, too. The Kharchapuri is an excellent bread shaped like an open boat (Viking?), full of salty cheese. A raw egg is placed in the middle with pats of butter. Again, our friendly server was helpful in mixing all that together until it was an egg/cheese mass with wonderful taste with the bread ripped apart by hand and cupped to scoop up the gooey center. It was a terrific tactile entertainment. Delicious. The BBQ Pork was simple and tasty. All customers other than us were speaking Georgian which greatly contributed to the exotic ambiance of the operation. People were dressed up for Fathers Day, and there were grandparents and plenty of children involved in the activities. We appreciated being allowed to sit on the edge of their Sunday evening and sample a nice slice of Georgian culture.

The waiter was nice and pretty knowledgeable. Our seat and area had some rice from a previous party but the waiter cleaned it up quickly. We were recommended the bread and the samsa. The bread sounded pretty good, but flavor wise very mild with a tiny hint of sweetness. It certainly is delicious eaten warm though. Super crispy with a soft inside. It pairs very well with the Korean style short rib as it soaks up the sauce nicely. The samsa was pretty good. The crunchy crust with the pastry that encircles some meat and onions seems similar to the bread they serve. It comes with a sweet salsa. The flavor was nice, well seasoned but nothing too exciting. The beef short ribs were really good. There was about 6-7 pieces but they are not the skinny short ribs you see at Korean places. These were thick slices packed full of delicious fatty flavor with a kick of sweet and savory. No rice came with it but the bread you order is amazing with this as it helps cut the fattiness and grease of this dish. Lastly we had the kebabs. The sauce was the same sweet salsa with the samsa. It would be nice if they had other sauces that can be equally refreshing or something spicy could work too. The lamb nicely cooked and well seasoned. It was a solid dish that Lamb lovers would sit well with. All in all a great place with pretty reasonable prices. Excited to come back and try something else. You wouldn't regret trying it.

Single page menus on the table, and customers were constantly in and out. Surprisingly, every customer coming in was a young male, some singles but most in groups. There's a couple of large refrigerators full of food in containers ready to go. After some language barrier ordering, we ended up pointing to what we wanted on the menu. I tell you EVERYONE who came in ordered Plov and bread. We did, too. Along with the assorted kebabs, lagman soup, and two Samsas. The soup was tomato based with homemade long noodles, beef, celery, peppers, onions, carrots, and celery. Had to alternate between a fork and spoon to eat it. The bread was extra tasty and was great to dip in the soup. The kebabs were fresh, very tender, and came with onion and some pickled hot peppers. My wife liked her samsa but I was getting full and took mine home. But the star of the night was the Plov with the most tender and flavor filled slow cooked rice with lamb, beef, carrots, and onions. I could see why most come in and just order it for however many were in their party. It's that good. Best I've had so maybe as others mentioned it was a fresher batch made. With two bottle Cokes and a wonderful pot of black tea, our meal came to $77 including tax and a small upcharge for credit card payment. Tip was left in cash. I will say that the prices on the bill were slightly higher than what was listed on the menu so be mindful of this. For instance, menu Plov is $14.99 but bill Plov is $16.19. Menu tea is $1.99 but bill tea is $2.15. The waitress was a nice enough young lady with somewhat limited English skills. She could take our orders but it was difficult to have a more detailed conversation about the food. For example, I was concerned about the the Khachapuri (cheese filled bread) that I had preordered. Sometimes, this bread is served with a raw egg on top. I did not want this and spoke to the waitress about it. She seemed to understand what I was talking about. However when it was served, there was no raw or cooked egg on top to be worried about whatsoever. We specifically went to Oasis to try their Chicken Tabaka (small chicken fried in garlic). It was very good in that it was juicy, had a lot of flavor, and had a nice, crunchy sear. We had the Achuk-chuk (tomato and onion salad), delicious, Eel salad (basic spring mix salad with "sushi" eel and sauce on the side, ok/basic. We also ordered the Armeninan Eggplant salad but it never came out. We weren't charged for it either, so the order must have been lost in translation. If you like cheese, you'll like the Khachapuri as it was more cheese than bread. My group liked it a lot. We then had the rice pilaf with beef and lamb, chicken heart kabob, the ground lamb kabob, and samsa (baked "dumpling" w/ lamb and partially cooked onions). All were tasty. I'd like to go back and try their other dumplings/pierogies, soups, and more kabobs. The samsa, chicken tabaka, rice pilaf with beef and lamb, Khachapuri, and Achuk-chuk were our favorites. BYOB
