    Beet Salad

While Gambit Lounge has all kinds of charm, it's not a great choice for a dining destination. My partner and I went to commemorate our first date there when it was Noir Lounge, and while the ambiance remains excellent, it faltered in being a full scale restaurant. The server/bartender was very pleasant (even bringing us flutes of champagne on the house), but he was a one man operation and we had to go out of our way to ask for water, get the bill and have our dishes cleared. As for the food, the beet salad was different than the one listed online. While that one sounded more like a full meal with chickpeas, this one was purely appetizer territory and left much to be desired while still at an entree price point. The beets themselves were actually delicious and the whipped feta underneath them was superb, but the other half of the plate was a very sad salad with weak greens and cucumbers past their prime. I'm sure Gambit is just right for certain occasions and tastes, but it wasn't ideal for us.

Tried Gambit Lounge for SF Restaurant Week & thoroughly enjoyed it :) Food was quick and delicious, I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially with the wine pairing ($18) which was worth it! Service was also very attentive and the vibe was perfect. I'd definitely come back.

What's new? I had some drinks like a coconut cinnamon liquor and also the negroni semi-mocktail. I am sick of drinking juice. Let the bartender do their job or go to a juice bar. HAHAHAHAH You can teach me sometime. I pay for myself. HAHAHAH

We had a great time. Wonderful food, cocktails, wine and atmosphere. Way more than we expected late on a Wednesday.

Six of us came here for cocktails. I got the Flor De Mi Secreto and my friend got the Pap Polaco Took awhile to get the drinks even though no one else was there inside and the two tables outside already had their drinks. The drinks were very good! We also got a board or meat and cheese which was outstanding. Loved the soft Brie and high quality meats. Atmosphere austere. Would come back.

    Happy hour cocktails.

Fun and pretty place for a cocktail and they even have a discounted happy hour! We also got the charcuterie board which was very pretty (though not enough of the delicious fried bread, so we had to ask for more. 20 years ago Hayes Valley was kinda depressing - such a cute hood now.

Newly opened bar in the middle of Hayes Valley. I visited this bar for a drink with my friend on Wednesday around 8 pm and it was absolutely popping by then. I really liked the ambience of this place, very classy and modern. Our server greeted us with a beautiful smile and she checked on us very regularly and made sure we were comfortable. Me and my friend ordered a gin cocktail which was more like a gin martini and it was well made for sure. She ordered a pizza which she enjoyed eating. Their menu offers great cocktails along with Polish/ European food. The lady behind us had ordered a cheese board which looked absolutely delicious. Over all me and my friend had a great time here. This place is perfect for a good conservation or even a date night. The service and the vibe were the highlight for me and I would love to come back to try their food menu.

You can order drinks directly at the bar or find an open seat and have a server take your order. It took us about 10 minutes of walking around before we finally found a table. Although the service was a little slow at first because of how busy it was, once we were helped, the experience was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. The food is definitely on the pricier side, but it's well worth it. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the martinis were especially impressive. If you're looking for a relaxing spot with breathtaking views of the San Francisco skyline, The View Lounge is a great choice. The combination of great cocktails, tasty food, and the incredible city views makes it a place I'd happily visit again.

Servers were frequently walking around attending to all the tables. We loved everything we ate except the tuna ( we didn't like the sauce) the tuna was great we just didn't like the sauce For drinks we had the Garden Fizz, Paloma, and Lycheetini. All wonderful For food we had : charcuterie board, prawn cocktail ( HUGE prawns and my second favorite dish), ahi tuna tataki, chicken adobo tacos and the Prosciutto flatbread ( my favorite!) For dessert we shared the Ube Crème Brûlée I wanted to try the house made chips cause they looked delicious but I was too full. Definitely a great place to come and celebrate!

On my first visit, I was helped by Jose, and he absolutely made the experience. Not only was he friendly and welcoming, but he took the time to explain some of the history of the bar and recommend several tequila-based cocktails that turned out to be fantastic. His knowledge and customer service were so good that I specifically looked for him on my next two visits. The views at Cityscape are incredible, with different perspectives of San Francisco depending on which side of the bar you're on. Yes, the drinks are on the pricier side, but between the quality, atmosphere, and unbeatable views, they're well worth it. One thing I really like is how easy it is to visit. Just walk into the Hilton Union Square, head to the elevators, and go straight to the 46th floor--no check-in or hassle required. A big shoutout to Jose for making every visit memorable. Great drinks, amazing views, and outstanding service. I'll definitely be back.

He was an older white man with a beard who the servers told me was jose. It was extremely belittling and rude. I was craving a refreshing craft cocktail and got one with the Green Emmanuelle. I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

I was dining alone and it seemed like they decided when I was done ordering from the menu. I ordered a oaxacan old fashioned and the cheese charcuterie board, which was absolutely delicious! That was all the food I got to try, though. After finishing my drink, I asked the waiter who came over about the strongest drink on their menu, which he said was the oaxacan. That sounded great, so I asked for a refill. However he then took the menu without saying anything which confused me a bit. After returning with my drink he thanked me for joining them so I figured that was them signaling I was done ordering! I would have loved to try more food from their menu but I ended up leaving to another restaurant. Plus, 40 dollars for one mediocre drink is pretty crazy.
