The drinks were very good and the vibes was very cocktail vibe. There's some nice things to do like pool and other games. Everyone was having a good time and the bartenders were super nice. I got the Brit & Kell & the spee & the beast which was excellent. The upstairs and downstairs offer different vibes for what you're looking for and it's a nice open concept space.

My first time going out in this area and was an experience for sure. Was packed on a Friday night as expected. Would suggest getting in early to utilize the pool table + seating areas.

Went in on a Friday night at around 8:15 pm and it was pretty packed but we were able to find seating for the two of us at the area near the pool tables. The interior is so pretty with the half circle bar and the dark wooden fixtures. Spee & Beast - Whiskey paired with sour fruits always reminds me of a whiskey sour which is one of my favorites so I tried this cocktail that had Japanese whiskey, lemon, lemongrass and blood orange. The whiskey came through pretty strong but the blood orange and lemon helped balance it out with the sourness. My friend and I enjoyed the vibes of the bar, especially being able to sit and talk while sipping our drinks.

This is a great neighborhood bar. It's dark and moody inside, with lots of seating including an upstairs loft area. There's also a pool table at the back. It's busy during the weekdays but weekends are packed. My favorite drink on the menu is the Tash & Erik -- it has a unique flavor to it!

Harper and Rye is one of my fav bars on Polk! The arched bar is beautiful and the space is split into 2 levels with a pool table in the back. Plenty of tables to grab a seat at and usually a nice crowd. It can get packed depending on the weekend but generally isn't a problem to get in. The bouncers are nice and their featured cocktails are really good, I loved the Bee's Knees that I had recently. Really solid spot to grab a drink and vibe in a lowkey yet buzzing atmosphere.

This is such a cool bar in the Polk Gulch. Harper and Rye had such a great vibe to chill with friends, have a solid first date, and even a loud lively pregame with a party! In the afternoon, the space has so much natural light, lively plants, and the furniture/rustic wood vibes bring energy to the bar. On the weekends/night, the space is filled with lots of people/laughter and brings an energetic vibe. The cocktail menu is solid, I got the Tash and Erik: gin, ginger, mango, tumeric, lime. It was fresh and light. I also like their beer selection.

Bar is great, have some good Gin options for me! Love my Gin! Service was great, the one guy working was slammed but you would never know. He put on a show and was able to hold 3 conversations at once. Honestly he was just amazing if he started juggling it wouldn't surprise me. The space is a great size but has some areas to make you it more private if you are in a date or want some privacy. Few pool tables and some seats upstairs. Clean bathrooms yes clean even at 10pm

I love Harper & Rye. Have been loving it for years. Would usually come on the weekend but today...came on a Monday night to a quiet Harper & Rye and it was such a lovely experience to truly enjoy the space, the beautiful venue, and be able to hear each other (vs. shouting) while enjoying a week night catch up From classy to party, Harper & Rye has it all Just know that if you come on the weekend to not be surprised if you have to wait in line, because it is a really fun place with delicious drinks

Best cocktail bar! This is my Monday night spot. Best bartender and martini in the city.

A place to see and be seen. Reasonable prices for alcoholic beverages. Big & open spaces. Pool table at the back. The two bartenders and one bus person do not miss a beat. Fast, efficient and effective. Amazing how they keep up with all the orders so quickly. Will definitely come back. Place is probably good for bigger groups, not so much for intimate conversations.

I was craving a refreshing craft cocktail and got one with the Green Emmanuelle. I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

It takes a lot for me to consider a return visit to a cocktail bar. Most of the time, I just begrudgingly go along with my friends to a mediocre bar, but Blind Pig is a place I would enthusiastically return to again and again. I first got the namesake cocktail: Blind Pig. It was incredibly well-balanced, and the flame presentation upon arrival was an epic mini show. Later during last call, I decided to risk it all and roll the dice to order from the secret menu. I rolled a 5, which got me a wine & Japanese beer concoction with Sichuan peppercorn. Totally feel like this cocktail was made for me, as I rep the 川渝 region. The drink was strong, but that made it all the better. I'm personally over (and too old) dealing with sloppy drunks spilling drinks on you, getting pushed around in a crowd or end up in a middle of a brawl Blind Pig is that perfect spot, well at least on a weeknight: chill, low-key, and moody. And, most importantly comfy seating AND solid AZN inspired craft cocktails ($18-$19). Cocktails with black sesame, taro, pandan, mapo tofu, tea, and hot pot flavors? YAS! D R I N K S * Hot & Sour: Tanqueray Gin w/ Iichiko shochu, aloe, rose, hot pot paste, basil, citrus, peychaud's ($18 x2) The sichuan hot pot inspired cocktail was silky smooth from the milk-washed gin, nicely balanced - sweet (but not too sweet) and sour with a subtle málà numbing spice. Stiff yet easy to drink. The manager/bartender, Leo was awesome with great hospitality. Background lounge-y music is not too loud so you can yap and catch-up with friends. Overall, Blind Pig is a great place to unwind after work or start the night off. If it's too tamed for you, you can always go next door to XEX to make bad decisions - no judgement cuz we've all been there! ;) O T H E R I N F O * Walk-in only. Five years later, I finally stopped by here again but with my little sister this time. I wanted her to try my favorite cocktail bar. Of course, SF made it very difficult to find parking in downtown with all those limited yellow markings and toll away streets. Very annoying! We happened to come by here last month when they were celebrating Asian Heritage Awareness. A lot of their specialities that night were made with pandan! Once it was 11pm, the bouncer started to let everybody in, so I'm guessing they only let people inside every 30 minutes to prevent overcrowding, even though once we got in it wasn't that crowded and there was plenty of open space outside too. Having to wait only gave us about an hour inside. It says they close at 12am and that is exactly when they close--you can't stay any longer than that. I'm used to bars typically staying open about 30 minutes to an hour after the listed closing time to allow customers inside to finish up. As soon as 12am hits, the bouncer starts going around and constantly telling you to hurry it up because they are closed now. The service was also pretty slow, which did not give us much time at all to sip and enjoy the drinks before they closed. We started off ordering two drinks, then our waiter came back about 10 minutes later and asked for last call so we ordered another one (this was before our two drinks even came out yet). After about 15 minutes, we got all three drinks and the waiter apologized and said he didn't charge us for the third drink since it took so long. This gave us only about 10-15 minutes to finish our drinks before we started to get told we had to leave. At least my drink (apple bottom beets) was good and I was able to chug it, but I would rather be able to take my time and enjoy a drink. Their menu is huge, and they have a wide selection of different cocktails categorized under which type of liquor is used (rum, agave, brandy). The ambiance is dark and romantic.
