We had a reservation for 12 for a post-wedding family dinner. Customer service was amazing and had tables to accommodate our large group, without having to break us up at different tables. It seemed almost immediately after we put in our food order the meats were delivered and we were off to cooking! Next time Im in Austin, I will DEFINITELY be back! Reasonable pricing for KBBQ considering the QUALITY of the meat and sides!

Read that this was one of the best options for KBBQ in Austin, and after trekking out to try it and fulfill my craving, I'm inclined to agree! Overall experience was great: Easy parking, walk-ins accepted, lunch on weekdays and dinner menu on weekends (3 tiers), great selections, good value, variety of sides, fresh ingredients, quick service. Everything came out super fast, and our server was very attentive. Will definitely revisit! QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, large shopping center lot. - Reservations? Yes, online via OpenTable. Not required. - AYCE? Yes, lunch is M-F, 11am-3pm. Weekends is dinner menu only, starting at $39.99/person. Menu includes unlimited meats, apps, soups, noodles and ramen, salad and veggies, banchan, and dessert options.

Oh god, I am not sure how I was able to walk out of there. I was so so full. It is such a fun experience! And what a deal for an all you can eat place. I was so lucky to go with my friend who happens to be Korean and she has been there many times. She walked me through it all and ordered for us (thank you, MJ!). We went with the Gangman signature meats for $49.99 - You need to go hungry and with people that will help you do some damage. You don't want to be wasteful. At one point, our grill made a popping noise and turned off. They had to exchange it in the middle of our dinner. They were very apologetic about it. Unfortunately they only carry Pepsi products. But they do have plenty of other drinks! Alcoholic too if that's your preference. Tasty food, fast service. I'm coming back.

This was my first time trying Korean BBQ but I went with experts so I felt less intimidated. They ordered some great choices of meats and did most of the cooking. I got to sit back and enjoy the experience! I loved the bulgogi and pork belly! I love protein and prioritized that over sides. However their churros were one of the best I have had in a restaurant. They also had very good soju. Our waitress was very attentive taking our next round of orders often and replacing the grill. This place is so cool and modern, with great deco, claw machine games, and even a full bar! This is a great place for a date, group of friends, or even a team dinner. I highly recommend and will return!

I love a good ayce kbbq spot. This place was highly recommended online and I was intrigued by their well put together website. It specifically states that they believe they provide a more elevated experience compared to those in Houston and Dallas. They are correct that they are different, being worse than both. We came in for dinner for a party of 2 on a Friday and were fine to wait. We were seated after about 15 mins. We waited at the table for 10 mins before someone brought a menu or took a drink order. We placed our first order about 10 mins later and quickly received some Banchan and meats but no rice or additional sides/apps that we requested. The rest came out over the next 5-10 mins but still no rice. I understand you get a lot of different things with ayce kbbq but me personally, I can't eat the meat without some rice. We waited 40 minutes for rice. Forty minutes. For rice. We had to ask 3 times. This wait ruined our experience since we already went ahead and started eating some sides and cooking the meat. It finally arrived after we cooked our first round of meat. I feel like we lost out on the total amount we could've had. The meats themselves were good. We had the beef brisket, beef bulgogi, and spicy pork bulgogi. We definitely could've eaten more if we didn't have to wait so long. The waiter apologized and asked if we wanted anything from the bar "we have $5 margaritas." First of all, I don't drink. Secondly, how does me paying for a drink I don't want makeup for this wack experience. The banchan were all pretty good. I really liked the spicy radish. The cheese corn was mid, not cheesy or creamy enough. I didn't like the dressing on the salad. The spicy ramen was good. I like that they had a call button available which was helpful when we needed a grill change or to order something. I have been to many Korean bbq places and this was one was by far the smokiest one. Borderline making it difficult for me to enjoy my meal. I understand a place like this gets really busy on a Friday or Saturday evening. However, if you're trying to provide an "elevated experience," then make sure you are prepared to do so. Rice is the most basic thing to be served. We chose set A which is $39.99 a person. I've had better for less. If they can fix these issues, it could be a solid spot but based on the experience I had, I would not recommend it.

First let me say that our server Duyen was the sweetest thing ever. She was so helpful in telling us about the menu, options, tips on how to cook, and our drinks were never empty. The place is fairly new, has lots of seating, and has a very modern Korean flare to the decorations. There are plenty of meat options and everything we had tasted fresh and of good quality. I did miss Korean style bbq wings that are usually pretty standard for this type of restaurant. When in Austin we will be back. Price is about $30 a person which is very reasonable.

Tried most of the other AYCE Korean bbq places in Austin but it was our first time at Gangnam. Food quality was very good and high quality and Metin (pictured here) was very nice and helpful. They also have large tables for bigger parties We would definitely come back again

Ask the Community - Gangnam Korean BBQ

    Is there a sauce bar?

No but they bring the sauce to you.

    Do they serve dolsot bibimbap?

I do t recall seeing any bimbimbap on the menus. But all their food is delicious and cooked well.

Is it only AYCE? Can we just order what meats we want without the All You Can Eat?

No a la carte when I went on opening day. Hopefully that changes

    What is the price range?

Adults: $30 for lunch (until 4pm) and $50 for dinner, while kids 5-10 are $16 and $26 respectively.

Will this restaurant be opening any time soon? I saw that 15 days ago a "soft opening" announcement was posted, is there a date for that?

They still didn't open yet I keep calling no answer or message

What meats, sauces and bôn chôn do you have? Also do you do cheese fondue or corn cheese?

Do anyone know if this place is opening? I drove past there and it seems like it's no one there. Literally no workers fixing the place or anything

I'm starting to think this is a front lol. It's been "COMMING soon" for over a year, they can't even fix the spelling error or post updates.

When is opening?? Been coming soon forever..

Is this a traditional AYCE KBBQ?

    Yes.

That said, this was easily the best Korean meal I've had in Austin, and honestly, it might be the best I've had in Texas. The soondubu arrived absolutely piping hot. I ordered the mushroom version, and it was packed with a wide variety of mushrooms rather than just a few token pieces. Even when ordered spicy, the broth still had incredible depth and flavor that wasn't just heat for the sake of heat. The tteokbokki was addictive. We ended up adding cheese and ramen, which took it to another level. The marinated kalbi was equally impressive: high-quality meat with very little fat and generous portions. The banchan was also top-tier. Standouts included the soy-glazed potatoes, fresh kimchi, and japchae. They also serve purple rice, which has a wonderful chewy texture and feels like a more thoughtful alternative to standard white rice. The food alone would bring me back, but the service was excellent as well; friendly, attentive, and efficient. We came for an early dinner and got seated right away, but if you're planning to come during peak dinner hours, expect a wait. The locals clearly know this place is something special. Huge parking lot and the dining area is bright and airy, even playing the world cup games. Seems to be very family friendly.

The cold noodles had a great taste, but were not served with any accompaniment except some ginger. The six pieces of galbi we ordered included one piece that was purely gristly and bone. We had a pretty uncomfortable table wedged between a large family dinner and the server station, blocked from the windows by a giant wall.

We got seated right away, staff were super friendly, and service was lightning-fast and efficient. We went with the AYCE BBQ Option B "Deluxe," which includes everything from A + B for $36.99 per person. Totally worth it--the selection is huge (various cuts of pork and beef, plus even octopus). But honestly, the real standout is the banchan (sides). Portions are generous--stuff that would cost extra at most places comes included here! Our favorites: the steamed egg, cheesy sweet corn, kimchi soup, and especially the fried dumplings. (Pro tip: toss those dumplings on the grill in a little meat grease to crisp them up... thank me later!) Narrow Street 512 serves up Authentic Korean food with a personal touch. It feels like you're eating a home cooked meal at your Aunt's home in Korea. I experienced Narrow Street as a solo diner. My go-to dish I order 90 percent of the time I go there is the Chadol Plate (A3). It is beef brisket. You normally need to go to a KBBQ spot and get covered in a layer of smoke. Skip smelling like a campfire and get A4 at Narrow Street. The beef brisket comes with rice served in a metal bowl. You get 3 or four small plastic containers of banchan the rotates seasonally. There is a variety of different kimchi, fish cake, corn slaw, potato salad and more. Once in a while I like to switch it up and I order the Cold Noodles (F1) or squid and pork stir fry (A4). The cold noodles are refreshing with crisp cucumber, white radish kimchi, and korean pear. The noodles are bouncy with a nice chew. Great in Summer and Winter. The Squid and pork stir fry comes with a bowl of rice and it is quite spicy. It is spicier than average but still less spicy than Thai chili. The chewy squid and pork are nicely complemented with the crunchy stir fried cabbage. Once you taste it you can't stop eating it. The price at Narrow Street very reasonable for what you get in my opinion. It is sit down restaurant quality food in a fast casual setting. You can dine solo or go in a big group as there is plenty of seating at the Hmart Food court. You place your order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to alert you to go pick up your trays of food. The Korean ladies who work there are super friendly and will help you make your menu selection if you have any questions. I've been a dedicated regular since 2023. Parking is decently okay, my only complaint is the spaces are small and I don't have a big car, just a 4-door sedan and it barely fit in the spot. So if you have a big car or a nice one, I would recommend parking a bit further away and just walking to the restaurant. I am going to focus more on the cooked items as most people here already gave their review on the sushi. Hangover ramen, not too bad. It is like Shin Ramen Instant Noodles with a lighter flavor, nice touch with the bean sprout as it is a needed texture element. Add the gyoza into it and it makes it even better. Cucumber salad, not bad at all. It is missing a bit of spice to it. A touch of chili oil on it would kick this dish up a bit. It is refreshing and a must at the table. Truffle fries, please skip this. No salt on the fries if you are okay with it. It is just a bit of truffle oil and Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. It is lacking in flavor. Yaki Udon, skip this as well. Not sure if it was just the day I went but the sauce was not so great. It was this sweet and sour taste but it was swimming on the bottom of the bowl like the sauce was poured on top of it at the end instead of being stir-fried into it in a wok or a pan. The first few bites are okay but the bottom half is just swimming in that sauce. Spicy Pork Bulgogi, decent size overall, not too bad. I would order like kimchi rice to eat with it next time if I come back. I do wish it was a bit more charred just to give it a bit of a textual element to it. also another thing to note, the bathroom is shared with the restaurant next door to it.
