The food was amazing quality, every dish was so flavorful and unique. My friends and I had the best time while there was awesome music to curate the ambiance. Our server Alejandra was the best and sweetest ever, so patient with us as first time diners!! BTW: PROPS to the lychee martini we loved all the drinks we got!!

First off the spot was super classy and my wife and I loved the atmosphere. We came on July 4th and it was super quiet but it was perfect for a nice date! As a person who can't eat a ton of sushi I was a little worried about paying all you can eat pricing but their menu was super diverse, they have great kimchi fried rice and good apps/soups so I was super happy and my wife enjoyed the nigiri and rolls. Next time I want to come back to check out their sake menu! Ashely was our waitress and she was super welcoming and had a warm personality.

I opt-ed for the premium option during lunch and I was happy with the options. My only two complaints were the wagyu and the kan salmon. The wagyu looks nothing like the photo and the kan salmon wasn't yummy. Everything else was amazing!! I loved the scallop and the dressing. The salmon to the moon and back I ordered twice. The portion sizes are good, not too small or big. I think this is one of the better AYCE spots in Austin.

I've been in twice now, and while I can see the potential -- both of my visits had clear issues, and it's hard to justify trying it further given the higher price point. They aren't very knowledgeable or trained with handling allergens, even though they say they accommodate them. I then had pacing issues, where it took a very long time for any sashimi to come out, but then almost too many orders showing up. It made it difficult to order the right amount, with how out of order and inconsistently paced the orders were. I also had a couple other issues like salmon coming out ice cold, and then the correction being dry and overdone. Many of the items I got were actually very good quality and beautiful, though. I still see the potential, if they could get their consistency down and their allergen knowledge up to speed.

This place is a cute all you eat sushi! It's order by the menu and the menu is truly extensive! I enjoyed their salmon Nigiri and galbi ribs! Please load up on that. The rest were good but depending on the rolls it was a hit or a miss for me. I didn't really enjoy the udon but I don't like sweet sauces. The service was prompt and the atmosphere is good. I would say this is good for big groups and chill dates, this isn't a fancy date place in my opinion. If I wanted unlimited nigiri I'll definitely be back!

Kan Sushi is an AYCE sushi and KBBQ. You don't cook the meat at your table instead you fill out a menu with the items you are wanting. They will bring everything out to you. Our favorites were the nigiri's and sushi rolls. The appetizers were delicious and unique as well. The noodle dishes were good but not as good as the sushi. We didn't get much of the KBBQ meat but what we did order was delicious! The service was great, very attentive and friendly. Would definitely go back!

Meh. I'll start by saying the rolly polly roll was delicious. We ordered like 8 of them. Except when one came out with cream cheese instead of crab on accident, I almost vomited. I hate cream cheese. The rest of the fish was just not good. It was nice the rice to fish ratio much more fish but it would have been nice if the fish tasted better. The portions were also very small. Dessert and drinks are not included in AYCE, drinks were expensive $15+. Maybe I'll try this place again the longer it's around. Probably not!

Kan Sushi has become my favorite AYCE (All-You-Can-Eat) sushi place in town! I used to go to Machi Sushi (located in southern Austin), but after this place opened and trying it a couple of times now, I personally think the seafood is more fresh here! I particularly like the fact that the sashimi slices are surprisingly thick and the rice to seafood ratio on the nigiri items is incredible (i.e. more protein than rice). Although you have to pay an additional $20 for the premium menu (which comes with the carpaccio sushi, sashimi, premium rolls and appetizers, and even Korean BBQ dishes), I think it's definitely worth the extra cost! I understand that there have been mixed reviews about the service and accuracy but thankfully, the waiters have been very attentive both times that I've been there. If you're a bit hesitant because of the mixed reviews, then I recommend coming for lunch (the prices are cheaper) so that you can feel out the place without committing to a higher price tag! Some of my favorite dishes here include: Truffle Salmon (Nigiri), Yellowtail and Tuna Carpaccio, Salmon Sashimi, Hamachi Kama (Appetizer), Salmon Kama (Appetizer), Calamari (Fried Squid), Galbi, and the Beef Bulgogi!

$28 lunch weekday pricing-- their nigiris and rolls are decent for the price; better than junai-- quick and attentive service and large space. The fish isn't the top quality but decent for sushi buffet and the rice to fish ratio is really incredible!

Food was very mild. Menu was limited compared to other AYCE sushi locations in Austin.

Just don't. This place is overpriced, badly run, and a hygiene risk. I'm warning you: skip Kan Sushi. The service is chaotic, the food handling is questionable, and for what they charge, it's honestly kind of insulting ($38 dinner price +$20 premium price. Otherwise no sashimi). 1. First round took 90 mins -- and felt rigged We ordered a full first round, but only got part of it. After finishing what they brought, our server asked if we "still wanted the rest" (which was part of the original order). Only then did the kitchen start making the rest. Sushi came first, sashimi at the very end -- felt like they were trying to fill us up early. 2. Sashimi requires "manager approval"? Over an hour in, we asked about our sashimi and got told they needed manager approval to serve it. It's all-you-can-eat -- why is that even a thing? 3. They tried to take back food we already touched Dishes kept getting mixed up. At one point, they dropped off sashimi, someone at our table started eating it, then the server came back and tried to take it back to another table. That's just nasty. 4. Found plastic in our sushi -- and they didn't care We literally found a piece of plastic wrap inside a roll. Showed it to the manager -- he brushed it off, then blamed a "trainee." No apology, no ownership, just took one person off the bill like that made it okay. Eating plastic in raw fish is not a small thing. 5. Whole service vibe = chaos Nobody seemed to know what they were doing. Communication was awful. And for the price? Definitely not worth it.

Austin doesn't have a lot of AYCE sushi spots, but this one would definitely be considered one of the better ones. Decent quality (as good as AYCE sushi can get), large menu, but pricy for what it is - even as AYCE. For dinner, it's $38.95/person - and that's without the +$20/person add on for "premium" menu items. Lunch is about $10 cheaper and if I ever revisited I'd probably stick to the lunch price, as I don't think the dinner price is worth it for me. The most value for your money is obviously in the sushi, but the hot apps and other menu items were pretty good. Service can vary. Since we arrived before the dinner rush (and dined on a weeknight), our food came out pretty quickly. Their paper system isn't the best, but it's not terrible as long as your server is attentive. Toward the end as it got busier, the wait time for food grew longer. Overall, I thought the sushi rolls were good and the nigiri just okay. For the price point I'd rather dine at a higher quality sushi spot and just pay for better fish bites, but I don't think it's that bad if you know what you're in for and just want the AYCE experience.

Newer AYCE sushi spot in Austin that plankton is the best in town. I liked it better than bang bang or Junai. Lots of seating inside, and you can choose between regular price or premium which adds $20 per person but gives you a larger selection to choose from. Honestly I think just the regular Definitely no need to over order as you have 90 minutes, but I will say the nigiri pieces are on the smaller side. Our favorites were the salmon and pepper salmon nigiri, the udon pasta, and the shrimp nigiri. Definitely worth trying out if you're into AYCE sushi.

More of a diner/casual place and I can see people coming here for social gatherings. Wouldn't recommend for very large parties though. There is parking behind the restaurant and since the restaurant isn't that big, I don't think it would take long to find a spot. You definitely get what you paid for. We got the hanger steak and chicken and it was more than enough. We got some appetizers because we thought the entrees wouldn't be filling enough but were so wrong. And surprisingly, the main entree entree chicken wasn't dry and pretty flavorful. The steak was also cooked well - wish there was more flavor but the condiments complimented it very well. I would also get the umami wings (well cooked and great flavor). Service is A plus - the workers were all very attentive, personable, answered any questions we had. We had a mishap with our bill and the (I think?) manager was so nice and accommodating. They also have different specials depending on the day/week! Will definitely come back anytime I come back to Austin.

The chicken wings were done in a spicy Szechuan Thai sauce. Very delicious. The Pork Buns were a home run. It was easily the biggest piece of Pork Belly I've ever seen on a bao bun. It was extremely tender and the sauce on the bun complimented it very well. It was my birthday and the wait staff gifted me an Ice Cream with Rice Paper Wafers. If I remember correctly, it was called a Thai Movie Theater (could be wrong). Ice cream was drizzled with chocolate, caramel, and fish sauce. Unique, unlike anything I've had before. The Rice Paper Wafers gave it a nice buttery crunch. Wonderful service. Wonderful food. Highly recommend and I will be back!

Chef Ling is a brilliant and personable chef who treats her chefs and staff like family. Several different chefs prepared each course, and the presentation was well beyond what we expected, both visually stunning and thoughtfully composed. From the moment we walked into Ling Kitchen, the energy felt warm and intentional. The space is intimate without feeling cramped, and you immediately sense that you are about to be part of something special rather than just another dinner reservation. Chef Ling personally welcomed guests, shared the story behind the menu, and checked in throughout the evening in a way that felt genuine and never forced. Each course built on the last, with a clear progression of flavors and textures. The fish was impeccably fresh, the knife work precise, and the seasoning balanced to highlight the natural ingredients rather than overpower them. You could see the coordination among the team as different chefs stepped forward to prepare and present their dishes. It truly felt collaborative, like a small culinary orchestra. What stood out most was the creativity. Traditional techniques were honored, but there were subtle twists and unexpected combinations that kept us curious and engaged. Every plate was composed like art. The pacing was perfect, allowing time to savor each bite and appreciate the craftsmanship. Beyond the food, the hospitality elevated the entire experience. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly proud to be part of the team. That family atmosphere Chef Ling fosters is palpable and makes the evening feel personal. If you are in Austin and looking for a memorable omakase that rivals experiences in much larger food cities, Ling Kitchen is a must. This is not just dinner, it is a curated, immersive experience. We will absolutely be back. Thank you Ling!!! You are truly one of a kind!

For $150/head you get solid Chinese food, with nice presentation. To me, if I consider the $150 price point for the meal, paying simply for presentation is not enough, especially if you consider other restaurants competing at this price point in the Austin area. Very few of the dishes had any real flavor advancements/innovations past the original Chinese dish it was based on. For example, the salt and pepper lobster comes out in this fancy wide wooden dish, filled with dried peppers, and then is seated on a textured stone bowl with sliced lettuce under the lobster tail. All to get 2 bites of typical tasting lobster. Was the lobster good? yes, but the general feeling is pay more to get better presentation, and less food for the money, not a food taste upgrade. To be fair, that may be what the restaurant is targeting. To contextualize Ling's kitchen, I feel as if you would be able to get a larger version of most if not all dishes, with similar quality in Houston for $20. For $150 you would be able to feed an entire family with drinks and dessert normally so I do not feel as if the money is worth it. Not much innovation on the flavors for the palate, but the food had very cute visuals. Service was nice, and the Chef's energy was infectious.

We placed our order at the counter, and somehow the staff magically delivers everything to the correct table...without numbers, flags, or those little buzzing gadgets. I'm still trying to figure out their secret. We especially enjoyed the open seating, modern décor, and communal dining concept. The indoor-outdoor layout is especially appealing during Austin's cooler months. For dinner, we ordered the wings, Brussels sprouts, and salmon bowls. My friend happily claimed most of the wings, as they were a little crispier than I prefer. The Brussels sprouts, however, were excellent...crispy, crunchy, and finished with just the right touch of sweetness. The true highlight were the salmon bowls. The salmon was perfectly charred and packed with flavor, while the coconut rice added a rich, slightly sweet complement that tied the dish together seamlessly. I didn't notice it till the end and since I thought they had forgotten it, I asked for some and got just the oil. Idk if that's the way they do it, but usually when I ask for chili oil I receive the chili flakes with the oil. Anyways, it was mid. But the brisket fried rice..... now, that had zero flavor. That was really disappointing. When I went inside the store to buy some regular items instead, the interaction with the owner was also frustrating. He seemed to misunderstand what I was asking and kept directing me to stand in the pop-up line, even though I explained multiple times that I just wanted to purchase items from the store, which didn't require waiting in that line. In the end, I bought a few small items, but three small items came out to about $20, which felt overpriced for what I received. The overall service experience was not pleasant. The owner came across as rude and unwelcoming, and it didn't feel like customers who made the effort to come support the business were being valued. I understand this is a small, local mom-and-pop shop, and I usually love supporting small businesses. However, customer service still matters--especially when people travel a long distance to visit. Because of this experience, I probably won't be returning unless it's for a pop-up event.
