First time coming here for lunch. I was quickly waited on, so while my order was being prepared I used the restroom. Very clean as was the rest of the restaurant. The food came quickly and I was brought some salsa and chip plus two house made salsas in a squirt bottle, green and red. Took the wife for dinner. Asked the waitress if they had campechano tacos and she looked at me like i was speaking a foreign language. I got the birra and it was great. However the wife got al pastor and it was awful. We both took a bite and the meat was rotten. When i went to pay they refused to take it off the bill. Wont be going back. The rice was clearly from a box, I was truly disappointed.. For a local family owned establishment I was expecting true authentic rice. Some of the food tasted a bit off, kind of like a wooden cabinet taste. Menu said $9.50 for the Huevos Rancheros & $10.50 for the Huevos con Chorizo .. Bill came and they charged us extra, $11.75 for the Huevos Rancheros, and $12.75 for Huevos con Chorizo... Should update their menus to match the prices.. read more

I came here with my son to give this place a try. As an advocate of local business it's important to seek out restaurants and share and promote their presence. The one star rating. In the hundreds of reviews I've given I can count on one hand how many times I've given only one star. It usually comes at the price of blatant disregard at some level. Food sensitivities are real and ignoring them can be detrimental if not dangerous to the health of a customer. Whether a shellfish, peanut, gluten etc allergy - a disregard for dietary restrictions is negligent to that customer. When attempting to order the waitress went back to check if anything was gluten-free. It's fairly easy to exclude wheat/barley/rye from an entree. She returned and said, "nothing" is free of gluten. Even those without gluten might be cross contaminated. 99% of restaurants carry something/anything to accommodate a gluten allergy. I find this a rather indignant if not discriminatory attitude. A deserved one star to these folks. read more

Very clean establishment. Server/host was prompt upon entry and was welcoming. All protocols in place. Maybe because it is new, but the food was just ok. I'm so sorry! I want to come back at some point and try it again. Everyone around us got chips and salsa, which I figured was normal, but I guess we were forgotten? We did ask but they must've forgotten. I ordered their lunch combo of 3 tacos, American style two chicken and one ground beef. Side of beans and rice. Husband ordered their lomo de res en Chile de Arbol. He knew it would be very hot so asked for the sauce on the side...which it wasn't. Sadly, my beans and rice were not "homemade" and the tacos were just so-so. Don't let the humble facade fool you - this is worth stopping in! It appears to be a small diner but inside is spacious and welcoming. The menu has all the classic Mexican fare you want but ALSO includes breakfast! They also offer horchata and Mexican Coca Cola and Jarritos. Fulfilled a quick taco-fix craving. The horchata (rice milk, if you're not familiar) is one of the best in town; smooth, flavorful, and the right amount of sweetness! Atmosphere was quiet and clean, main crowd being retirees because of the timing. I ordered the birria taco plate and my bf got a wet burrito. The waitress had our food out so freaking fast - right around 5 minutes. Food was absolutely divine. Perfectly seasoned, meat was tender and juicy, birria broth was excellent. 10 bucks got me 4 of the best tacos I've ever put in my body. This place is an absolute local gem. Wonderful! Tonight we went to Garcias. We'd never heard of Burria before. It was pork slow cooked but the broth really kicked the selections up a notch. The chips and salsa were free and brought out to our table upon arrival. They were very good. Chips were crisp and not greasy. I didn't even know this placed existed until my friend suggested a bunch of us go there for dinner in late December. It was the Thursday before Christmas Eve. We arrived around 630pm. The place is very inviting. The front half is the foyer/pick-up area, behind this is the dining area, and behind that appears to be an overflow dining area with lots of windows. I was amazed how many wait staff they had. We were seated promptly but were told they closed at 8pm. Shortly after we arrived, the place filled up with diners. We had 2 waitresses for our table. Chips & salsa were good. I had the tamales and they were okay. I did have to ask for sauce as I felt like they were a little dry. D had their burrito and really liked it. We didn't leave until after 8pm and they still had quite a crowd, so I would imagine they will be adjusting their hours to stay open later. read more

Food is amazing, cleanliness is good, I highly recommend this place. But..... I constantly have to wait to be waited on by the waitress is ridiculous. The place is usually empty because of the time I go in for lunch. Usually always greeted at the door. But the wait staff disappears for sometimes 5-10 minutes because they're talking in the back or decide to do up the dishes in the back. Or clean tables etc. Customers needs are not met in a timely manner. Always having to wait 10-15 minutes for a refill or extra napkins or silverware . Food is served promptly. read more

Tried Garcia's for the first time tonight and thought it was pretty good! Friendly girl took our order on the phone and the carry out process easy. Kids liked their tacos and my wife and I split a HUGE order of fajita nachos (very good) and the chicken Diabla (very tasty, although not as spicy as I was expecting). my manager and i called to get some tamales and tacos for lunch. we ordered 4 pork tamales and 2 tacos american style with a side of rice and beans. when i arrived to pick up my order i was told that they dont have tamales, and whoever i spoke to forgot to tell me that over the phone... even though the majority of our order consisted of tamales.. they didn't ask for my name or number so they had no way to contact me and did nothing to remedy the situation (like offer to make us additional tacos in place of the tamales.) the lady helping me just told me that she didn't take my order so there's nothing she could do. the tacos were okay but they were pretty small and i wish i could've at least still gotten the side of rice and beans i ordered. we are still hungry read more
