We were told to seat ourselves, and our super friendly server came out right away. We ordered iced matcha drinks, which were delicious. My avocado toast was exactly what I needed, and my husband really enjoyed his bagel and lox. We'd definitely love to come back and try lunch next time we're in town. I used to Love Garden Court Café, with its cute little potbelly stove, and the most amazing biscuits I've ever eaten. It was closed during Covid which actually worked out pretty well for them because they were re-modeling the entire building at that time. When they reopened after the remodel, I went once and was so disappointed that all of the charm had been taken away and it looked like a regular modern restaurant you could find anywhere. Plus, the biscuits were gone certainly the potbelly stove was gone, and the food was subpar.. I hadn't gone back again, for years, until last Thursday for breakfast. The ambience was still very modern, but the service was excellent. I had a smoked salmon Benedict with the garden potatoes that was just delicious. If they can make food that good, I guess I can accept the ambience. The one thing I really will complain about is their chairs are very hard, little and metal. On the cool morning I was there that cold chair froze my buns. Replacing those chairs would go a long way toward making the restaurant more comfortable. Or maybe just bring a pillow with you to sit on when you go. The food is certainly worth the trip to Glen Ellen, even with the cold chair. read more

But the yelp photos don't look much like what's been on my plate: if it says one Egg Benedict that is literally all you will see on your plate: everything else is an extra and portions are more modest. No pastry case selection such as one photo shows, just toast and biscuits. And, when i have ordered to-go, the portion is less than half the table service portion for same price. Nice outdoor dining area away from the road. Service & speed occasionally spotty but note sign on the wall: be kind to the people who do show up to serve you. Point taken. My wife and I are staying about 3 miles away at Kenwood Inn and Spa for our anniversary. We looked for a local place to get breakfast. It had been raining this weekend and we have a small dog, so outside seating was not an option. We had to order our food to go. We ordered chicken and waffle and biscuits and gravy....with gags and bacon and potatoes. The food was 10/10. The coffee was also top shelf. This was a really big deal to my wife. I ordered the veggie omelet and my favorite part was how fresh the vegetables tasted in the omelet, and it comes with a side - I chose the country potatoes and they reminded me of the breakfast potatoes my Nanna made me from scratch as a kid I loved this ! My husband just had pancakes but the pancakes are their own recipe from scratch and he enjoyed them. Service was for sure top tier , we were greeted at the door, and seating you get to choose your own place to sit and we were taken care of very quickly even though there was a nice amount of people in the restaurant.
