We were told to seat ourselves, and our super friendly server came out right away. We ordered iced matcha drinks, which were delicious. My avocado toast was exactly what I needed, and my husband really enjoyed his bagel and lox. We'd definitely love to come back and try lunch next time we're in town. My wife and I are staying about 3 miles away at Kenwood Inn and Spa for our anniversary. We looked for a local place to get breakfast. It had been raining this weekend and we have a small dog, so outside seating was not an option. We had to order our food to go. There's an option to order up to three benedicts which is nice to have that option in case you want only one or you want more than two. They come with a side of grits or country potatoes. I ordered the Glen Ellen with country potatoes and it was excellent. The eggs Benedict had lots of chopped bacon along with spinach and grilled onions. The country potatoes were cooked perfectly. The service was attentive when I arrived and was waiting for my friend. My husband just had pancakes but the pancakes are their own recipe from scratch and he enjoyed them. I've been here a few times before(always great!) but I recently went here for my friend's bachelorette at my suggestion. We made reservations for 8 people and they were very accommodating! Once we sat down they got out drink order and gave us some suggestions for our breakfast. Our drinks came out very quickly and once we ordered our food came out very timely as well. We came to the cafe around 10:30 on Sunday. We waited for one hour before the food was served. We asked the server a couple times about our order since it was a long wait. At the moment, none of the 6 or 7 groups at the restaurant had food on the tables! The server never reported back to us what's going on. When our food was finally delivered to us, everyone else at other tables turned their heads around following the waitress, wondering what's going on with their orders. A thin layer of avocado smeared on a burnt piece of toast - there are french bakeries within walking distance, at least get a decent loaf of bread - a few sad, tasteless cherry tomatoes sliced in half, and a poached egg that cost "extra".
