i appreciate the tech for the attention to detail for the star design and how great the manicure went with cleaning and applying the polishes! salon is clean and accommodating, i was able to come in 10-20mins after asking if they had availability

I came in during the last hour of the day, and I truly appreciated that the staff was still willing to take care of me. Two people worked on me at the same time. One did my pedicure while the other did my nails. It was efficient and helped save time. I paid about $75 for the Hawaiian pedicure and $65 for a manicure with lilac shellac extensions. While I was happy with the end result, my toes were clean and my nails looked beautiful, I am not sure if it was worth the price. Especially for the pedicure. I didn't pay attention to what was included in the service, so I do not know if I received everything that came with it. Comfort was a challenge. I am short and plus-sized, so it was hard for me to sit comfortably during the service. I asked for back support and they kindly gave me a towel, but it did not help much. I felt uncomfortable the entire time and honestly just wanted the service to be over. It was also difficult for me to hold my feet up during the callus removal. Unfortunately, my heels, which are my main problem area, did not get scrubbed as much as I hoped. I think having a proper cushion or footrest would help guests like me have a better experience. There were also communication issues. The person who did my pedicure did not speak English, and the person who did my manicure spoke a little but not fluently. She did her best to accommodate me, which I truly appreciated. Still, everyone in the room was speaking their own language and not really engaging with me, which made me feel like an outsider. As a guest, you hope to feel welcomed and taken care of. In this case, I did not feel that connection. The tipping process was also disappointing. I was not aware that they only accepted tips in cash. I tried to use the ATM nearby to get money, but my card was declined twice. I had planned to leave a $20 tip and felt embarrassed and frustrated when I could not. I wish this policy had been clearly communicated ahead of time or that other tipping options were available. Even with all of that, I want to sincerely thank the nail tech who did my manicure. She was kind, understanding, and reassured me when I apologized for not being able to tip as I am someone who takes care of people who take care of me no matter the experience as I am also in the customer service industry, She told me not to worry and to take care of myself. That moment showed real professionalism and heart. The other person who took care of me seemed upset about the situation... so I couldn't even look her in the eye. Although the final results were nice, the overall experience left me feeling unsure about whether it was worth the cost. However, I do want to recognize the kindness of the tech who did her best to make me feel cared for. Total Spent: $157.06

Needed a fill and a pedicure while in town helping parents and my friend recommended them. They did not disappoint! Excellent nails, quality outstanding the lasted and didn't lift or flake. The people were very nice and friendly and caring. Prices were not overpriced but very affordable!

Overpriced. I spent $84 on this pedicure. $45 for the pedicure + $20 gel + $7 callus remover. That's $72??? Then she said "$84 is with tax"??? Mind you, my heels are still rough. If anything, she made them worse. The one star is for the massage. I basically paid $84 for a calf and foot massage. Super disappointed

This is my 3rd time coming here. I always forgot to leave reviews. I've had 3 different people. I forgot to ask the name the first time, but Lisa and Emily names i got! All 3 times I got gel nail, pedicure and waxing!! No disappointment in all areas!!!!! I love how my gel nails last till a fill, I come like every 2-3 weeks! No chips! It hasn't peeled!! I'm grateful!!! Highly recommend this salon!!!!!!

Aloha, I totally did not ask for the assistants name. SHE WAS AWESOME! She took her time going thru the whole process of what kind of design I wanted on my nails to the colors. Amazing every time! Shout out to them for taking me last minute for a new set and soak off after hours. No matter what anyone says about the price, it's the work and the quality of service every time for me.

Service I got has always been great. Nail tech Mei is super patient and cares for her work. I don't know the names of the girls that I had pedis from but both times, the massage was so good that I didn't want it to end. I tend to go before lunch and it's not that busy. There's a relaxing atmosphere in there. They're all easy to talk with as well even though English is obviously not their native language.

Super friendly staff and chill atmosphere. I got a mani-pedi and I loved it! Prices are also reasonable, both services were $160 total! I would definitely go back again and I recommend going to this place:)

I came back to see Cao after a year and a half hiatus (I had a baby so I never had the time) and she still remembered my name! Service was great as always. Amazing massage, and nails designed just how I like it. I paid about $140 before tip for gel acrylic manicure, design, and spa pedicure with gel polish. Yes, it seems pricey, but my foot massage lasted almost 45 minutes from start to finish. Worth it to me. I guess you get what you pay for. Highly recommend !

I was searching for a new nail tech because the one I was going to prior, kept cutting my fingers.. this happened at every appointment. Luckily, I came across Garden Nails on Yelp and noticed Cao's work. Seeing her was definitely a game changer for me! Not only was she patient and allowed me to explain what I wanted, she also gave me some advice, was super gentle, and did not cut any of my fingers. The design she came up with was absolutely gorgeous! The picture I took doesn't do it any justice. I highly recommend Cao for your nail design needs- you won't be disappointed! I will definitely be back to get my nails done once these fall off.

I wanted to get my nails done all nice for my anniversary, and I am so ecstatic with how they turned out. Mei did a wonderful job. Took her time shaping the nails and constantly checking in to make sure I was completely happy with everything. I've also had issues before with other techs burning my fingers with the files or being rough, and Mei was so gentle. I'll definitely be going back for sure! read more

I came here to get gel nails in April for my senior prom. Mind you, this was my first time ever getting my nails done so I didn't know what to expect. When I walked in one of the ladies asked, "Wah you ly?!" I was caught off guard at the intensity of her statement. However, I was seated quickly and she went straight to work. She rarely spoke, though. When trying to give me instructions she'd make hand or head movements. Like jeez, I'm not deaf. She expected me, a newbie, to understand her gestures. In the end, I was satisfied with the result. It matched my dress perfectly. Later, I went to Royal Nails to get gel fills. HORRIBLE. Garden Nails is MUCH cleaner!! A little pricier than Royal but it's worth the extra $10-$20. Royal Nails filled them way too thick, they looked unnatural. After that, I came back here to get fills for graduation. The guy that did them was super nice and he did exactly what I wanted! I showed him the design and he did it free hand! (for "ten dala moa", of course) I was impressed. He shaved down the thick mess Royal Nails created and made them look much more natural. They don't seem to talk as much crap in their language either, compared to Royal Nails, which I appreciate. So, if you're willing to pay a little more for much better quality, I definitely recommend Garden Nails! read more

I went with a big party, but we all made scattered appointments (from 9-11am), mine was for 11am for just a pedicure and I got my nails done finally at 12:15pm. They should have planned for the large party better by bringing in more nail techs. I just can't get over sitting there for over an hour for my appointment. Sorry. read more

Very expensive for a basic looking manicure, and I walked away feeling kind of taken advantage of regarding the end price:/ Salon couldn't do a fill on my gel x (fine), so I paid $10 for removal, $10 to cut my cuticles, then it was suggested I get gel powder which was another $65, plus $15 for the cat eye gel color I originally came in with the idea to get. My person was meticulous which while that certainly has its merits, she went overboard with the electric file. I asked a few times if it was necessary to do so many rounds with the electric file because I was worried about my nail health, but eventually we got to the point where I had to ask her to cut my nice long almond shaped natural nails short because I was uncomfortable with how thin they were filed. Ended up going with a round square situation. Total price for one color gel powder manicure = $104 + $20 tip. Yikes. read more

I wish I got the name of the person who did my pedi, because I was not happy with her work. That being said, I would've given it 1 star if I was only rating her. She did my pedi so quickly and I started 10-15 mins before the others that were seated. She seemed more interested in talking with the other workers than making me feel like a valuable customer. As I mentioned, I am not only rating her, but other factors. The place was clean and the other workers seemed to care. Parking was readily available since we arrived early to do my pedi. I will probably go again, but will not want the same person. read more

Never a wait and the lady that does my Gel Pedi is wonderful! I didn't get the nail techs name, and I have gone to her several times, but shes in the pics. I highly recommend her for a gel pedicure or whatever. She is meticulous in her attention to detail! And her artwork rocks!! I love coming here. I always go to Cao for my nails. She does great work but I still like my simple nails. But if you need bling, she does an amazing job! Plus the bling doesn't fall off at all. For pedicures, I almost don't want to say who I go too lol. (She's the best and I don't want her to be booked ) but her name is Hibi, she gives THE BEST MASSAGES!!! This place is peaceful and it's not noisy (which I love). Plus parking is never an issue! I've been to many places on the island and I've been coming here ever since! read more

Garden Nails has been my one stop shop for majority of my beauty services for years. I always get compliments on my gel manis done here, I usually get a pedi as well which is always worth it because they take their time on clearing away all the dead skin as well as offering a consistent massage quality. I only go here to wax my eyebrows simply because I don't trust any other place to do them. I do also notice a good number of men go here to wax their eyebrows, in case any of you fellas are wondering. After coming here for years, I literally have never made an appointment and am usually serviced right away. Though, please don't count on that if you have a set schedule. I also don't have a preference on who I'm serviced by so I see anyone. Again, all employees share the same quality of service. I haven't walked out unsatisfied once. read more

I have been to many many nail salons on Oahu. Mostly because I haven't found a place that I was satisfied with. So far, I got the best pedicure design here. I would've given them 5 stars, but they cut the sides of my big toenail a little too deep. Im trying to prevent ingrown nails, and that part worried me a bit. Also, theyre just average when it comes to friendliness and service. If you live on the leeward side, I think Garden Nails is the best in the area, but I'm still looking for my 5-star nail salon. A place worthy of my 5 stars would have techs that could do great designs, cut well, and speak English to you and their coworkers. read more

Just got my nails done for the 3rd time here and it keeps getting better. The prices are reasonable , the staff are great and the work is amazing. Cao did my nails. My husband and I came in yesterday, a Wednesday, for pedicures with no appointment and got in right away. Nice staff and gave great long massages (my favorite part!) They prefer you tip in cash so bring cash otherwise they have an ATM machine in the salon. I wish they had a TV or music playing for background noise. Other than that, I will definitely be back! read more

Cao at Garden Nails is amazing! My appointment was at 11:00am last Sunday. I was ten minutes early and instead of waiting (like I always do at other nail salons), she was waiting for me. Cao is very friendly and would frequently check if I was okay. She is very knowledgeable and took her time to make sure my nails were even and perfectly shaped. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she did it! I finally found my nail technician! read more

Garden nails under new management since April 2019,We have been working nails salon many years now. We have OPI gel, gelish. And dipping powder and all kind nail art. We love our job because we get to make every person that sits in chair feel great about themselves. We get to meet so many new people every day and everyone has a different story, wants a different look and we get to help them accomplish it. We love to go to classes and learn the latest trends and bring them back to our clients.

Has anyone experienced nails lifting or Getting stuck in hair between fills after getting them done here? New to Hawaii; finding a nail tech who can make it so that your nails dont lift in between services is EXTREMELY rare. Thanks in advance!

You have to go more often. If you experience this then it's time to get them done again. Maybe they're growing out faster because you're eating healthier or taking new multi vitamin 🤷🏼‍♀️.

During that call, I stated that I was willing to provide medical documentation regarding the pink eye diagnosis, and that offer was not welcomed at the time. So it's confusing to now see that documentation is being requested publicly. The photo attached to my original review was taken immediately after the service. In that image, you can see that some lashes were not properly isolated and several were not lifted upward evenly. Additionally, the rods were in place for the duration of the 1.5-hour appointment while the facial, dermaplaning, and extractions were being performed. I understand policies exist, but the experience itself, both during the service and in the follow-up communication, is why I felt compelled to leave my review. Clients deserve to feel heard and taken seriously, especially when a medical issue follows a treatment. Ultimately, based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this business.

I had a ton of hangnails. The nail tech told me she was new but moved from salon to salon and had been doing nails for a "very long time", I'm not so sure about that. I literally never post reviews, I just had to in this case.

I know during this pandemic it's tough, especially for some businesses to be open. Staff: some polite others not quite. Disappointed that i had to pay extra for a different acrylic powder without them mentioning itd cost $20 more. Just because it was a pink instead of the normal white powder. A few nails didn't last long at all and I was not doing any major or even relatively close to any activities to have them come off. Love this and it might be my new spot on island. Very attentive and can get you in super fast. Good leg massages during the pedicure too. I got the gel pedi (which lasts longer than most regular pedicures and with the grapefruit scent. They were running a little low on some certain scents like green tea but that's okay because this place is still worth it and good price wise. Highly recommend.
