Davi Nails Kapolei is located inside Walmart, so I had seen it before, but never thought of going there until @Rani R suggested that we get some pampering yesterday. I looked up "best pedis near me" on Yelp, of course and seeing their great rating, I called and they had immediate openings. We had to go to Walmart anyway, so it was a no-brainer. The ladies were so cheerful and friendly, greeting us like we were old friends! I was happy to see that they use the "bags" in the pedicure sinks--one of the things that I was once told to seek out for good sanitation practices when getting a pedi. The disco lights inside the sink were fun, too. Sorry for fumbling the nail polish color samples and them landing all over the place. At least I felt better when I wasn't the only one who did that. As soon as they removed my nail polish and started the leg massage, I immediately thanked R for his excellent idea. I was in pedi heaven! Even though we got the basic pedis, we had leg massage, scrub, moisturizer and hot towel treatment. That's more than just basic to me! They also suggested that we return monthly to help out with an issue one of us was having. Hm, that can be done! Mahalo, Davi Nails. Made an appointment within 30 minutes same day for basic mani and pedi (no gel). I was seen by Tracy, who was nice and friendly. Ended up upgrading to the deluxe pedi and it was so relaxing, forgot I was in a Walmart haha. I only got regular polish so I had to hangout for a bit for it to dry more, but I didn't feel rushed to leave, even though it was towards the end of the day. Tracy thoughtfully offered water while I waited. Ended up messing up the polish on my big toe a bit (my fault) once I left, but she did a great job with the application. Called in to ask if they take walk ins & they do!!! And she was able to put me and my mom down for an appt at 430pm. It's a party in here! Everyone is so nice and friendly. You WON'T get the snarky rude under the breath comments in a different language here lmao My mom booked for ombré square nails & I got the deluxe pedicure with gel polish. Ken did amazing on my pedi, I usually just get white but wanted to try milky white. He even asked if I wanted another coat on my nails if it looked off to me!! In the middle of my pedi I noticed the lady across get my "dream set" done which were French tip almond nails. So I bit the bullet & asked if they could also squeeze me in for that exact set LOL & they happily did!! Tina, the owner was great! Although she was working on a client she was also constantly checking on her other workers to see how their sets were looking or if they needed help. Which I noticed the client did not mind one bit! I told you, this place is suuuuuuper friendly & everyone was in good spirits. We were there til closing time and not once did they rush on my nails to close up. I like to just get my natural nails painted. I also just like the basic pedicure but places can be so pushy with the upsell, not here. Everyone is respectful, nice and non pushy. Passed by the nail salon a lot since I regularly shop at Walmart Kapolei for necessities. Finally booked an appointment over the phone with Tina the shop owner. She actually gave me a courtesy call on the day of my appt to let me know she was running a little late. I really appreciated that. Then she gave me another call 30 minutes before my actual appt time so we were about 20 minutes early. I got to the shop and was greeted by Tina and she set up for me to do my manicure first. We did the dipped powder nails. You could tell by how meticulous she was that she really has pride in what she does. Taking the time to ask me if I was okay, and really inspected my nails through out the process. She asked me several times what I thought of my nails and THE OVER ALL RESULT WAS BEAUTIFUL. She really carried out exactly what I wanted for my engagement nails. I also got deluxe pedicure with gel add on. The second nail tech took her time with me and was very careful in the way she did my callous treatment. She asked if the water was warm enough and massage chairs were so relaxing. I recently moved to the West side and was in desperate need of a pedicure. Moving is hard on your feet! I went to another place but they were booked for the day and saw that Davi Nails was nearby, located inside Kapolei Walmart. I'm so glad I stepped in here! The employees were so friendly and made polite conversation with me. I appreciated that they did not have personal conversations with each other, but rather, they focused on the customers they were serving. I decided to go all out and treat myself to the special pedicure which included a massage. It started off with a green tea foot soak, the pedicure process, then the leg massage. It was amazing. I've had massages where it felt like the nail tech was just trying to get it over with, but this nail tech massaged my legs really well and was 100% focused on me the entire time.
